During this campaign, Groucho’s Deli customers have the opportunity to “buy a shoe” for $2 at any of the 29 loca, ons in North Carolina and South Carolina. These dona, ons will go to hos,ng a shoe distribu,on in a Groucho's Deli local community. To kick off this campaign, Groucho’s Deli of Huntersville is sponsoring a Samaritan’s Feet shoe distribu,on event where 150 children will receive new shoes on Tuesday, September 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Long Creek Elementary (9213-‐A Bea^es Ford Road, Huntersville, NC 28078). Melissa & JD Gibbs, leadership from Groucho's Franchise Systems, LLC, and many local store employees will be on hand to volunteer. The 150 pre-‐registered children will receive a pair of socks and shoes and have their feet washed by volunteers. “Groucho’s Deli is proud to partner with Samaritan’s Feet for a Give Back campaign that is the start of something bigger than us. Groucho’s has always held giving back to our local communi,es to a high standard and we want this campaign to have a domino effect in our communi,es—for individuals to con,nue our give back tradi,on beyond Groucho’s Deli,” said Deric Rosenbaum, President of Franchise Consul,ng Services Corpora,on (management corpora,on of all Groucho’s Deli loca, ons). “It’s an honor to partner with a local organiza,on that has such a heart for bringing it back home and serving our local neighborhoods.” Earlier in 2015, Samaritan’s Feet was selected by Groucho’s Deli of Huntersville as one of their Give Back partners where 100% of the profits benefited them and two other non-‐profit organiza, ons. Since its origina,on in 1941, Groucho’s founder Harold “Groucho” Miller made it his mission to give back to the community. "The team at Samaritan's Feet is proud to partner with 'your neighborhood deli' Groucho's Deli to give back to our local communi,es! What beler way to be generous than enjoying a 'Groucho’s STP Dipper’ while making a gin to provide school shoes to children in need,” said Manny Ohonme, CEO and Co-‐Founder of Samaritan’s Feet Interna, onal. About Groucho’s® Deli Harold ‘Groucho’ Miller came to Columbia in 1941 with a handful of original recipes for potato salad, coleslaw, and various salads and sandwich dressings – most of which were thought up during his childhood in a Philadelphia orphanage. He opened Miller’s Deli, but because of his brash Groucho Marx-‐like sense of humor, and his incredible likeness to the famed comedian, the city of Columbia nicknamed him and his restaurant Groucho’s®. In the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960’s Groucho’s® Deli established its reputa,on by serving its high quality meats and cheeses, famous sandwich dressings (Formula 45 Sauce™ was perfected in 1945), and Original Potato Salad and Cole Slaw. Groucho’s con, nued Philosophy of offering “Fast, Fresh, and Original” Trademark Subs and Large Salads, served with Groucho’s Famous® Dressings, spawned demand into new markets. Since Groucho’s first Franchise in Lexington, SC (2000), Groucho’s® has grown into mul,ple ci,es across South and North Carolina. From Groucho’s humble beginning to expansion into new territories, the goal of each Groucho’s loca,on is to be “Your Neighborhood Deli”. Groucho’s Franchise Systems, LLC is ranked on pres, gious Entrepreneur magazine's 36th annual Franchise 500® list. For more informa,on send e-‐mail to tse@grouchos.com or visit www.grouchos.com. ###
