However, the idea has gotten closer to becoming a reality with the introduction of SB 671. If passed, the bill would “require the board to establish, on or before July 1, 2012, minimum approved continuing education requirements for renewal of a shorthand reporter’s certificate, with certain exceptions, and would require the board to establish a procedure for approving providers of continuing education courses, as specified.” Hotel is on the corner of Pine Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. IMportant dates Apply Attendance Towards the Mandatory Court Employee Education Requirement Rule 10.474, which was adopted in 2008 requires that all California trial court managers, supervisors, and other personnel must complete minimum education requirements. All managers, supervisors, and other personnel should participate in more education than is required, related to each individual’s responsibilities and in accordance with the education recommendations set forth in rule 10.479. (Sub d(a) amended effective January 1, 2008.) Attending the COCRA Conference will help fulfill the minimum 8 hours every two years for court employees and minimum 12 hours every two years for court managers and supervisors.
