Back Pads
Back Pads
The OMS back pad can be installed on either the Stainless Steel or Aluminum OMS backplates.
The pad is used to create an additional layer of comfort for the diver. Divers wearing minimal
thermal protection find the additional padding comfortable. The pad is attached with stainless steel
book screws (included) along the perimeter of the backplate. The design hides the screws for a
finished look. The back pad also has a pocket underneath that can be accessed at the bottom of
the pad for storage of an SMB, Divers Alert Marker or lift bag. To utilize this feature simply do not
secure the bottom grommets with book screws.

Forged out of stainless steel primarily used to connect a metal backplate to a multitude of our
items such as an IQ backpack, all of our BC wings, our back pads, and Single Tank
Adapters(STA) and more . Book Screws can also be used to mount inflation systems to the back
plate. They fit a standare 3/8 hole on back plates. They are sold in singles and come in 3 sizes.
The 12mm is generally for a single grommet attached to the back plate. Example would be
attaching a back pad to the back plate.
The 18mm is generally for attaching two grommet items and the back plate. Example would

Crotch Straps 2"
A crotch strap helps keep the harness in position. When swimming in a head down position, such
as descending the anchor line, the crotch strap keeps cylinders from shifting towards the diver’s
shoulders. This is especially beneficial when wearing double tanks. When the diver is on the
surface the crotch strap keeps the harness from riding up the diver’s torso. Crotch straps are also
utilized during scooter dives. The scooter harness is connected to a “D” ring on the front of the
crotch strap. (DIR style) This technique is useful to reduce arm fatigue during long scooter dives.
Available in multiple widths and sizes. The 1 inch crotch strap has a fastex buckle included and
the 2 inch uses a loop. If a 2” crotch strap is too wide and 1” is too thin, then 1.5” is JUST RIGHT!
This crotch strap includes a 2” scooter ring and a quick-disconnect Fastex® Clip. Fits Side Mount
adapter plate and backplates. It includes a triglide for easy installation.

What Size Fins Do I Need?
This can be challenging as a persons shoe size is only part of the answer. What a person is
wearing on their foot plays the biggest role. For example, wetsuit boots come in a wide range of
thicknesses from ultra thin to 8mm thick. They also come with different types of soles including
soft, hard and even a tennis shoe-type sole. Drysuits have all different types of boots with different
soles, lengths, heights and widths and then combine them with the virtually limitless types of
insulation worn underneath. And finally no matter what "should" fit is over shadowed by what feels
right to you as the diver.

IQ Traveler Backpack
The newest iteration of the classic OMS IQ Backpack, meet the IQ Travel Backpack! At only
2.4lbs, this comfortable harness system can easily fit into any carry-on bag. The harness
incorporates anodized aluminum accessories to maximize strength and minimize weight. When
combined with the Performance Mono Wing with 27lb lift and two cam band straps, the entire
system weighs less than 6lbs making it ideal for travel. Unlike other travel systems, the IQ Travel
Backpack can be easily modified for cold water diving. Simply add a wing with the appropriate size
lift for local conditions. No need to own two separate systems as there is enough adjustability to
allow for variable diver thermal protection. You can also add a steel or aluminum backplate and
OMS weight systems. Other features include movable anodized aluminum D-rings and removable

Each kit contains an SMB, Spool and Double-Ender Clip. The bright red and yellow Safety Pocket

Stainless Steel D-Rings
Available in two sizes, the Stainless Steel “D” ring has become a SCUBA industry main stay in
terms of gear configuration. The shape of the “D” ring works well when coupled with a triglide. The
2 inch “D” ring is available in flat or bent shape. The bent shape works best in the chest location as

Deep Ocean Wing Single Bladder with Retraction Bands
Deep Ocean Wings include the Retraction Band System, which is designed to keep the wing
folded behind the diver’s shoulders, reducing drag and the chance of entanglement. The bands
can be repositioned to keep the diver in optimal trim during different dive configurations, i.e. stage

The greatest plus for silicone is the impressive resistance to UV and ozone attack. Divers diving
our Silicone ZipSeals report them to be more comfortable overall and for many provide a dryer seal
on the wrist. Silicone is also ideal for people with latex allergies. The downside to silicone is that
they can be more prone to tearing and punctures so care should be used when handling. The
outside of the seals tend to gather more dirt as well.
The greatest benefit to latex seals is that they are more durable overall. If you do not live in a high
UV or ozone climate, latex might be the best option for you.

ZipGloves provide unparalleled warmth without sacrificing dexterity.
Simply remove the ZipSeal from your OMS drysuit and install this ZipGlove in minutes. No wrist
seal is inside allowing air to freely move into your hands to loft the liner inside (included) keeping
your hands warm. The ZipGloves also include a wrist strap to secure the glove to your hand.
Whether your a tech savvy diver, enjoy diving in cooler and cold waters or just love the feeling of
having warm and dry hands, these are the gloves for you.
ZipGloves are available in Heavy-Duty (blue), Maximum Dexterity (orange), and Zip gloves-WD.
Heavy-Duty ZipGloves are twice the thickness of the Maximum Dexterity. Maximum Dexterity are
recommended for underwater photographers. Heavy-Duty is recommended for divers who like to
grab onto rough lines, rocks, wrecks, etc. (WD stands for Wrist Dam. This unique system is
intended for dives where the risk of a glove leaking as a result of damage is high or the diver
