Relax your regulations so more businesses will want to come here!
Please don't try to be so upscale (snooty) that you force families with modest incomes to go outside the town to dine and to shop. And make
the rents and regulations at Parker Square more reasonable, to attract businesses there! It's a shame it looks so abandoned!
Nordstrom rack would also be nice
Seems like all the restaurants coming in are all expensive & upscale. I'd like to see more chains that are nice, but far less expensive.
Vegan Restaurant Please!!
Consider giving tax incentives to draw high quality shopping and dining
Need to get Parker Square going again with a good chain anchor restaurant and some popular shops. Need to get the community events held
there more and hold holiday events. Not sure what happened with that town center, but seems like wasted space anymore...
Would love to see some dining establishments/sports bars with live music.
Please shut down Jakes! It is an embarrassment for our community. The attire of the young women reminds me of Hooters. It is not family
friendly, and the space there is being wasted.
Bring things in that aren't so cookie cutter. Denton is where people are going because they are tired of going to the "Olive Garden." Go up
there and check out some of their restaurants and bring some of that uniqueness to Flomo.
Please, I'm begging you, no more doughnut shops, nail salons or fast food chains. We have more than enough.
We need more restaurants (both semi casual and fine dining) and that have servers come to you table to take your order. We have enough of
the fast casual where you order at counter.
We don't need any more nail salons, donut shops or tanning places.
Would love to see a sports bar/pub type restaurant...family friendly with good food. Farrell's Lounge & Bar is an example.
Would like to see more restaurants that offer healthier vegan and/or vegetarian options. Something besides salad and pasta.
Would love to have a central market or trader joes
Would love to have some more fine dining. FM has too many casual, fast food restaurants.
Ice Rink would be a great draw in this area with Polar Ice closing. Lots of interest from this area and a partnership with Dallas Stars to get a rink
that would draw on FM, Highland village, and Denton would make it work
Thank you for asking......
Would like more patio dining locations and dog friendly patios
Less "family" and "chains" more adult restaurants
I appreciate all of the new retailers and restaurants that we have in the Flower Mound area.
Hall's Chophouse served the best salad, steak, and sides I've ever had. Also the only restaurant I've been in where the owners came around to
personally greet all the customers, thanked us personally for coming, and we got a hand-written thank you note mailed to us. Food, service,
and hospitality over the top!
Thanks for asking! You've done a nice job of taking inputs into account.
Would like to see more whole/organic food offerings in restaurants
We need high end alternatives vs. forcing us to shop in Dallas or Southlake. We are fortunate to live in an area with great economics and need
to be able to serve a different socio-economic group.
We would LOVE more places to dine outside with a playground for the kids (similar to Market Street).
Move them around to different areas
Please no more fast food chains, no more banks, no more emergency centers, no more nail saloons. We have more than enough. Thank you
for your hard work!
I hope some of these selections make it this year. My batting average is zero I think.
We have plenty of retail and dining now. We don't have to fill every green space with another tiny boutique store or restaurant!
As much as everyone in the town seems to yearn for a small town feel, I think restaurants that would offer a real small country outdoor feel
would be nice. An establishment that could also have an outdoor music/dance venue would be nice. I think a country/barbecue restaurant
would be great. Something like Rustic in Dallas or even something like Oscar Store would be really nice.
My family and I have been requesting a Pappadeaux Restaurant and also a Bob's Steakhouse on every yearly survey. Please let's make it
happen for the Town Of Flower Mound!!! Thank you,
Small specialized business and restaurants would be a welcomed site. A good mix of the large corporate retailers plus
small/eclectic/specialized shops would enhance the shopping experience (and dining) in Flower Mound.
Minimize Fast Food and focus on trendy, healthy, and eclectic. Keep FM urban or it'll turn into another Carrolton, Farmers Branch, The Colony
and then a Garland. How many more strip shops do we need with Nails, Karate, Dry Cleaners? FM needs to be a "destination" like Southlake.
Places with outdoor dining would be great for nice weather days/nights.
You are doing a great job of bringing retailers and restaurants into Flower Mound! Keep up the good work.
I would like to see more trees being planted. And more walking trails and water fountains.
Please slow the development. We are growing too fast. More retail will make quality of life worse not better. I would much prefer a tax
increase to fund services.
Let's try to get more independent businesses as opposed to chains that have the "same ol' " stuff.
A fast food seafood restaurant would be nice.
Trader Joe's would be great as more organic 'inexpensive' places are needed; instead of Whole Foods, Market Street
It would be great to have restaurants where people could socialize and congregate. More outdoor patios and live music would be great
additions.
Page 3
44. Would love SAMs or Costco in highland village. More restaurants in South flower mound. Morris and 3040. More family friendly restaurants
with lots of options.
45. I'd prefer to provide incentives to new independent restaurants vs chains. We have enough chains but we need more unique restaurants.
46. More parking for restaurants
47. Better parking for restaurants. More private owned restaurants and shops.
48. Fine dining $100 a person is nice but not everything needed. We also need family or small family owned restaurants. I like Prime but cannot
eat there often.
49. Please please please...bring regionally recognized chains of quality restaurants and stores to our town. ENOUGH of the mom and pop
businesses that are here today, gone tomorrow. Take note of what Frisco and Southlake has done and model your plan after those cities
because they are successful!!
50. I would like to see a restaurant that serves healthier food for families that also provides an indoor play area for kids.
51. no more mom and pop gyms they are on every corner.
52. Pet friendly patios and adult friendly dining
53. I would love to see more independently owned shops and restaurants that are unique.
54. Stop cutting down trees! We have empty store fronts sitting around we do not need to build anything else. We chose the area because we
didn't want to live in Frisco.
55. We have too many pizza places :-)
56. We need restaurants that have a variety type menu. We have enough good Mexican places. We have little seafood options that are more than
breaded fish.
57. Would love some bars for adults open after 10pm with with great ambience!!
58. We would love to see a family entertainment center close by such as a roller skating rink or The Main Event. Flower Mound does not have any
sort of indoor family venue other than the movies. A roller skating rink would do great here. Thank you!
59. Build smart!! Please don't continue to cannabalize current business just for the sake of adding more. It appears the profit is being sought from
the actual developing rather than long term plans.
60. Top shelf retail and restaurants!!! No more chain restaurants. No more salad or taco restaurants.
61. Do no continue to chase chains
62. We need more Upscale restaurants
63. NO MORE CHAINS. Every corner is the same, the town has no character or interest or quality goods or food. There is zero nightlife in the area,
which deters younger people (with disposable income) from living or even coming to visit here.
64. Flower Mound needs a retail shopping mall. The reason I spend so much money online is due to the lack of a mall. I can attest to the fact that
there are several individuals who feel the same way and since part of my job includes relocating individuals the number one reason that they
do not choose Flower Mound (Frisco instead) is due to the lack of convenience from a retail & restaurant standpoint.
65. I firmly believe that the retail stores and restaurants I mentioned in this survey would do exceptionally well if located in Flower Mound.
66. Abuelo's was our family's favorite restaurant (it was on I-35 service road near Vista Ridge and closed down because of the widening of I-35)
Several of our neighbors have also mentioned that it was their favorite. It is an upscale Mexican restaurant whose menu is a little different than
others and that we thought had the best taste around.
67. You've done a GREAT job with the shopping/dining that Flower Mound offers. I've lived here since 1998 and it is so nice not to have to drive to
Lewisville to get my most needed items!
68. Would like to see more independent retailers, especially gift stores, and healthy food restaurants and fine dining.
69. Better signs so we know what businesses are in the shopping centers
70. We need more family friendly restaurants that are low-middle cost for meals.
71. We really need a major department store (Dillard's and Macy's). The Belk is small and does not carry the selection of clothes our family wears.
We often have to leave Flower Mound to find clothes for our teen daughters.
72. I don't think we need any more retail or restaurants.
73. I t would be nice to have some nicer restaurants that are not chain restaurants. We have enough pizza restaurants, etc.
74. I like the direction we are heading, over the last few years a lot of restaurants and retailers have been added, liking it!
75. A good seafood restaurant (possibly Pappadeaux) would be a great addition to Flower Mound.
76. All these restaurants that we have never heard of do not appeal to us. Not impressed with any of them.
77. I would really like to see HEB grocery store come to Flower Mound. There is no grocery store quite like it!
78. We may not have the traffic to bring in some of the bigger names, but I prefer non-chain, locally owned restaurants anyway. We could use
good Thai, Chinese and some upscale restaurants.
79. Flower Mound has a large number of senior citizens on fixed incomes such as social security. Their disposable income has to be spent very
carefully. Many do their own home repair and lawn work and a GOOD hardware store would be very beneficial.
80. It seems when I'm in the mood to buy, I don't think Flower Mound first because the shops are all over town, not centrally located. Then I have
to try to remember which stores are where in the city. Southlake has most shops centrally located, near each other with a large variety of
shops and restaurants.
81. You guys are doing a great job in Flower Mound. When I moved here there was nothing and now I barely need to leave the city.
82. We believe in growth for Flower Mound. We want to thank the current Mayor & Town Council for continuing to press for development. There
are so many uninformed and stagnant citizens in Flower Mound that seem to think that no growth is good. We believe that business and
industry are good for this city. Keep up the good work!
83. You are doing the right things in bringing in quality places. Just don't "downsize" them for Flower Mound area when compared to others
84. Less restaurant chains and more mom and pop restaurants would make the experience in Flower Mound more unique.
85. We need a Quick Trip near 2499 and 407... it's an upscale convenience store that fits our community style!
86. Please, our town doesn't need to be like every other town with every chain that someone says they want. Please keep our unique atmosphere.
87. I forgot in and out!! Thanks for bringing better retail and restaurants to Flower Mound!!! It is so wonderful spending our money close to home
Page 4
and not traveling all over Dallas.
88. You have done a good job of bringing retailers and restaurants to FM, but we still have to regularly shop/dine elsewhere because it's not
available here.
89. I would prefer better quality restaurants and some ethnic restaurants of quality. Don't go overboard on fast/food takeout pizza places and
such
90. fix the traffic flow in this town
91. would like to see choices with an eye towards healthy 92. Just think we have too many restaurants already. And, they are mostly pricey.
93. Flower Mound is RAPIDLY loosing it's bedroom community feel. If people want to be surrounded by every possible restaurant and retail chain
like Frisco, Plano, Addison, etc., they should go there. Why does Flower Mound have to become like every other retail glutted community in
DFW? The current mayor, town council, and Economic Development Office have destroyed the master plan and the community's uniqueness.
They're focused on growth for growth's sake and it's out of control. Parker Square (that we HAD to have) is a ghost town, the River Walk (that
we HAD to have and the developer keeps wanting to scale back) has ground to a halt, except the high density housing we don't need more of,
and most of the warehouse space explosion along Lakeside Parkway is vacant. Who thinks any of this is a good idea? Let's get the current
problems under control before we fool ourselves into thinking we need more "retail and restaurants". Seriously??
94. Keep Commercial Lease with reasonable rates and incentives to stay in FM to attract people to prefer to live here. Sick and tired of vacancies
and ghost town Parkers Square. Use that Gazebo for the people/entertainment not the wasps and spiders. Go back to decorating for the
Holidays Parkers Square.
95. PARKER SQUARE IS A PRIME LOCATION FOR FLOWER MOUND AND CURRENTLY A WASTE OF SPACE-THERE IS LOTS OF POTENTIAL FOR
RETAIL AND RESTAURANTS THE ORIGINAL PLAN WAS FOR ANCHORED STORES AND MOM AND POP STORES. NOW THERE IS NO DRAW AT
ALL. SADLY HIGHLAND VILLAGE IS THE DRAW FOR FLOWER MOUND RESIDENTS.
96. The majority of dining and retail options are in extreme north Flower Mound bordering Highland Village. We need options in south Flower
Mound (not high end $ places that are going in Lakeside DFW), but regular sit down family restaurants and a few other (normal) fast food
options. We go to other cities often to dine since it is not as available locally.
97. Just don't want the city to become like Lewisville with lots of empty stores. Require new establishments to occupy vacant buildings like they do
in San Antonio.
98. Need a noodles, more breakfast places like pancake house, and Panera bread...
99. Flower Mound definitely needs a Gas Station.. 7/11, QT or Racetrack would be nice.
100. There are alot of empty properties, why can't we fill those up first insead of building on new land. Parker Square needs a complete remodel
and put business that residents will want to fo there more. More live concert/movie nights in Parker Square and not just during the summer
when it's hot. We need to have more community events to bring our town closer together.
101. Would be great to have more upscale restaurants like Twelve Stones in our community. Also, please, please consider Central Market as a
possibility for groceries. I drive to Southlake weekly to shop at this store.
102. We need more late night restaurant options!!
103. I prefer non chain restaurants
104. MORE SINGLE OWNED RESTARAUNTS. less chain restaurants like prime or salernos
105. This town shuts down at 10!!!! Give me some restaurant options that are at least open til midnight!!!! Been saying this on the last several
restaurant surveys. There are 2, yes 2!, places in Flower Mound to sit down and dine after 10 PM, Sundays through Thursdays (excluding fast
food - meh).....those two being IHOP and Wing Stop. We are being outdone by Highland Village on this one!!!! They have 5 - Buffalo Wild
Wings, Applebees, Rosas, IHOP, and Wing Stop. This baffles me.
106. Some place like truck yard of klyde warren with entertainment, alcohol and things to do with kids.
107. More unique with cool signage
108. The question re % dining out should specify % of what - $ amount? Number of visits? Otherwise responses are meaningless.
109. Too many fast food places
110. Thank you for setting up the survey. We are excited about the new places coming to town. We would like to see some more places that deliver
(besides the usual chinese/pizza) and would like to see some healthy "fast food" options that have a drive-thru.
111. Please consider the experience related to a retailer or restaurant. Experience is impacted by things like "what else is nearby", "how easy is it to
get to", "is parking sufficient and easy", etc. Having a smattering of restaurants here and there is not good. People like things together, like in
north Flower Mound we have the Highlands Park (and surrounding) area. However, the south side doesn't have anything like that. Retailers
benefit from having a strong shopping area. An isolated retailer will soon be a failed retailer. I already worry that the Lakeside district was
planned with too little retail & restaurants. It takes a very strong commitment (size & scope) to make a new development a success and
centerpiece for commerce.
112. We need unique retailers and restaurants that other towns in/around Flower Mound don't have. I'm tired of all the chains. It's nothing unique
about them.
113. please please do not build like the SLUMS at Lakeside
114. The town has done a really good job of attracting quality and variety of restaurants and shops. Bringing in more of the same will just saturate
the market and put small businesses out of business. At this point, I think we need to continue to be wise about which types of businesses are
entering the market and how it affects current, good standing businesses.
115. 3040/Gerault cannot seem to hold restaurants. It is walking distance from my house and never good FAMILY restaurants. Jakes is "hooters" to
me and I will never take my family there again. Unbelievable. Some other chain would be nice and will draw crowds.
116. We have enough Mexican and Italian restaurants. We need a good Chinese restaurant and more ethnic ie, German, Polish/Czeh. home cooking
type
117. I would like to see more conservation areas. A nice nature center that can be used for education and recreation would be nice. Instead of
clearing more land for excessive shopping centers, the Town should be looking for developers with incentives to put businesses in the empty
preexisting retail areas that have been sitting vacant for years. Be proactive instead of reactive. Let's fix the issue of empty retail centers before
Page 5
we build more to sit and stare at instead of a nice tree.
118. I'm disappointed to see what happened with Riverwalk. Too bad we won't see the retailers and restaurants we had hoped for. Very sad.
119. I wish something more could be done with Parker Square to gain new tenants and encourage locals to visit. Perhaps we need to fill it with
more doctor offices, insurance agents, etc. that don't need foot traffic. I don't know what the answer is, but I hate seeing so many empty
storefronts. We are also disappointed with so many apartments going up in the area. The town of Southlake seems to have a better plan on
growing their community without sacrificing demographics, income levels, etc. I'm worried I won't want to live here in another 15-20 years.
But, I'm encouraged by the amount of new restaurants in the area.
120. I would like to add Marshall's and TJ Maxx/Homegoods to the retail suggestions.
121. An adults only restaurant would be great, similar to Dave & Buster's
122. We would love some good restaurants further south. Near Lakeside.
123. Costco please!
124. Would absolutely love to have an ACE hardware in the area, so much better than Lowes and Home Depot. Also miss Hancock Fabrics!!
125. Your choices about preferences of where to dine leave out many, many options that I might have checked. Please consider something other
than the restaurant 'types' shown in question 8. Please consider some things out of the ordinary. Flower Mound could really benefit from
retailers and restaurants that aren't "cookie cutter".
126. Please do not add low end retail or any more fast food areas. These are not needed and will only make Flower Mound decline in appeal
127. It would be fun to have a weekly or monthly gathering of food trucks to choose from - make it into a 'festival'... Grapevine has all the fun
festivals... we should follow suit! :)
128. We do NOT need any more nail salons, donut shops, pizza parlors or Italian restaurants!
129. I can't understand why there are no Fried Chicken places in Flower Mound. Every town should have a fried chicken place to grab a bucket of
chicken for a family picnic!!
130. Thank you for giving us (the residents) an opportunity to provide input on the future development of this town and putting leaders in place
that actually take the initiative to act upon these suggestions. It is one of the main reasons we continue to be residents of this wonderful town.
Thanks again.
131. We're good on nail salons, grocery stores, markets, dry cleaners, donut shops, churches. I can't buy anymore groceries than I do. Same budget
divided up among Everyone
132. A farmers market would be great! We end up going to the one in grapevine a lot.
133. I'm loving all the new development in the Highland Village shopping area. Would love to see more 1-off restaurants, not so much chain based.
134. PLEASE No more PIZZA places!
135. don't build everything up by Highland Village
136. Town of FM is in need of many restaurants and retailers. I usually go to HV or Southlake for shopping and dining.
137. Please NO more chain restaurants!
138. II work at Lakeside and would like to see more healthy options and cafes with outdoor seating closer to work without having to drive down to
407. I regularly go to ModMarket, Salata and Luna. It would be nice, healthy, reasonably priced café with table service.
139. We have too many pizza places
140. We have enough pizza places! Please look into different restaurants please
141. please no more nail salons or pizza places!
142. Put in things that are different and stay away from the cheap discount and dollar stores.
143. Need more variety in the types of restaurants coming into town. We also need some kind of entertainment venue for kids in town that serves
kids of all ages.
144. We NEED a big asian supermarket like 99 Ranch Market in Plano or H-Mart in Carrollton. We NEED one in our town .
145. We spent 400 a month at Eddie Bauer when it was in Highland Village. We now find ourselves in Southlake to shop and then we spend our
money there instead of here. Look at Southlake - get some of those stores that HV kicked out. Keep the money local.
146. Although I know it is popular, we have way too many Mexican and Tex/Mex restaurants in Flower Mound. It seems like every other (50%) fall
into this catagory.
147. I'd like to see less traditional chains, and more unique options that are popping up in places like Bishop Arts District and Plano. We're hardpressed to find places with a decent wine list around Flower Mound, and many of the restaurants are generic chains. I'd love to see more
"foodie" options that have a fun atmosphere, without the snooty pretense often associated with "fine" dining. I know there are some newer
restaurants opening in the Lakeside (like Verf's) and a new place this fall up near Mod Market. I'd love to see more of these style of
restaurants! And some nice liquor/wine stores as well!
148. more buffet type places are needed, especially that give senior discounts. Trader Joe's desperately needed here in Flower Mound.
149. No more fast food restaurants - please
150. More healthy choices & upscale dining options please!
151. Too many over priced restaurants coming in and not worth the price.
152. Love nice patio seating and live music places.
153. I would like to see more fast casual restaurants in the southern part of Flower Mound, around Flower Mound Rd and 2499, or in the new
Lakeside development. It would also be nice to have another Italian restaurant in that area, as well as another Tex Mex restaurant, especially
with the closing of Agave Azul.
154. Less Tex-Mex! More unique/quality, less low-level chain restaurants. More outdoor dining/patios!
155. It would be nice to see Parker Square full, I'd love to park and walk shop to shop there! As a fairly new resident of Flower Mound I have greatly
appreciated the retail choices in Flower Mound and how well planned out the development has been. Keep up the great work! Thank you!
156. Healthy options, not fast food.
157. More dining establishments that have bars and music
158. No more Tex Mex or BBQ restaurants. There are plenty! We need finer American cuisine. Look at New York or Los Angles hip and fine cuisine.
159. Need to encourage unique locations like 12 Stones, Verf's and Farm to Table. Let's become a town of quality, not cheap quantity.

Please add a nice lounge, bar, hotel, high end restaurants and shopping
Id love more shopping and less drs
I would love to see a greater variety of restaurants in town, especially new Mexican and American style places.
Some good Italian food restaurants would be great!
No more chain stores or restaurants. We need more independent shops. Would love a South Congress/Bishop Arts like area.
The population can't support all this growth. It is completely unfair that you recruit businesses that will eventually fail because of the
demographics. You can spin it all you want it's not convenient to get here.
We do not need any more Italian restaurants!
Let's get that Trader Joe's!
More little kid friendly, more take-out options!
To the extent possible, unique "non-chain" restaurants would be great. Also a place to grab a drink and listen to live music.
Yes. Please consider price range. Not everyone who resides in Flower Mound can afford to shop at specialty stores or boutiques. Some of us
enjoy a good value.
Please, please , please! We need a Trader Joes!
PLEASE add a 24 Hour Fitness!!! I live in the Lakeside community of Flower Mound.
More restaurants and shopping in the southeast end of town.
I love cafe express in southlake too!
We need more patio dining. Dave and busters would be great to have to. We are going to a lot of children's parties in surrounding cities. All
we have is winkids and best gymnastics as far as party venues.
Like to have more outdoor eating areas.
3rd request for in n out. Get it done
Nope.... patiently waiting on the River Walk Project
We need more full-serve restaurants in the casual dining group--no more stand at counter and order types. Also, more diner types that are
open for dinner instead of only breakfast and lunch.
Would love to see more restaurants and retailers in the south or south east part of town. Close to FM3040 area.
There are many higher-priced, specialty restaurants that have come to our area, but not enough family-type dining is available. A place where
one can get regular, family-type menu items--without being southern-fried, vegan, California style, tex-mex, etc. How about old-fashioned
meat-potatoes-vegetable--salad offerings that are not any of the above. Cotton Patch and Mama-s Daughters are the ony two I can think of
that tend to offer these things, but their food is over-salted and often less than appetizing. Thank you.
While we've listed some old favorite chain restaurants, we would like to see indies like the traditional deli mentioned earlier. Thanks!
For years FM has lots alot of money to other nearby cities. Give us some good places to eat and we will stay in town.this is a wealthy town but
most people go elsewhere.
We are loosing a lot of Tax Dollars to other communities by not having more restaurants, and retailers, but I assume you know this. There are a
lot of people who work on their own cars, as a hobby, in Flower-Mound. We need at least one Auto Zone, or someone similar. If there is one, I
havn't found it!
I am eager to see the Riverwalk restaurant. We enjoy Trinity Groves and the eclectic dining options.
Would love more variety ... not chain restaurants necessarily. Interesting restaurants with healthy, quality food. Ethnic foods are great. With
regard to retailers, some big name retailers could draw more people here to shop at some of the mom and pop stores :)
KEEP THE CATFISH CABINS OUT
For restaurants, having more options around with patio seating would be awesome.
Restaurants with more patio options would be nice. It would also be great to have a splash park for children.
No more big box retailers needed (along with apartments and town houses).
Town lacks a real good Chinese cuisine sit-down with carry-out, a good Tex Mex like Abuelo's and another Steak House cuisine
I would like to see a more upscale retailers and restaurants. There are too many pizza places. Not enough retailers or restaurants around 2499
and 3040.
Flower Mound doesn't offer any pub (public house) style restaurant options found in other established communities such as Frisco, Plano, and
Southlake and across the country. This style of restaurant is perfect for this growing community of people that have found this type of
restaurant entertainment widely available in other cities.
Bring more business to Lakeside...we need an upscale hip dining/shopping experience ASAP
195. Thank you for the opportunity to provide our feedback!
196. We need a good fast-casual restaurant like Chipotle or Panera in Lakeside. It is concerning that there is so much open space in Lakeside and
I'd like to see a strong anchor there to draw in customers.
197. Please no more Tex/Mex, nail shops, dry cleaners. I think we have a great selection of retail/restaurant now.And with Lakeside and Riverwalk I
believe we are at capacity. A new food place goes in, it is hot for a bit and then people move on to the next new one. Rinse and repeat!!
198. It will be interesting to see if there will be affordable restuarants put in the DFW Lakeside development. I think they will do much better than
all upscale. Flower Mound is still very much a family and retirement community. We need practical affordable restuarants such as Chilis. A
Gingus Grill would do very well in any part of FM. It is healthy, quick and affordable. I would think it would do well at the corner of Morris and
3040. All the folks in the commercial developments on Gerault would love something like that. What is the deal with the corner site were Don
Vito's is now. There have been several restuarants there and none have made it work. I understand that whole development will not let the
smaller, unknown business have street signage. How can they survive?? Advertisement and word of mouth isn't enough. The development and
city planners should look into helping the business survive, not make it harder for them. All in all I like the growth I am seeing in Flower Mound
as long as the infrastructure keeps up. We do not want another Plano though, so let's not get too carried away. Thank you for the opportunity
to speak out.
199. The Town has done a GREAT job bringing in wonderful retailers & restaurants! On past surveys we've had a LONG list...this time many of the
past items on our list are here now! Keep up the good work!
Page 7
200. Would be nice to have a nice european style Bakery offering fresh baked pastries and European Coffee and some sort of Cuban or Puerto
Rican cuisine restaurant
201. We need more ethic restaurants we only seem to have bbq, mexican.
202. Priority -- Central Market
203. I would like to see more Family/Mom & Pop type restaurants rather than a chain. A full service bakery(not just cakes/cup cakes) would be
great in South FM.
204. Would be great to have some local bars and dance clubs country and r&b
205. I would enjoy having retailersand restaurants that aren't necessarily chains. Flower Mound definitely needs more bars. For example An Irish
pub would be fun. We need more patio dining. I would appreciate keeping our ranches in west Flower Mound. I don't want to be excessively
crowded like Frisco. We need to keep our land! Encourage the ranchers to open restaurants like Jackson Wyoming. We are still Texans and
enjoy on land and cattle and horses.
206. The minority are very loud about sushi, kale and exotic dining. I am not into it. I prefer national or regional chains that have a proven recipe for
success and that won't abandon their building in a year.
207. A casual music venue (jazz or blues) would be great similar to Soho Food & Jazz in Addison.
208. I'm not sure, but I think we have enough nail salons, title companies and pizza places.
209. I guess I should provide my age....72 years young. I would dine in the finer restaurants more often but I am a widow living on Social Security
and a small pension......so I am limited due to my budget. I usually have to wait for my daughter and her husband to take me out to dinner if I
want find dining. They always take me to Dallas.
210. We need a good seafood restaurant.
211. ENOUGHT with the banks and nail salons!
212. Thank you for taking time to review my input. It is greatly appreciated. I would love to see some kind of Antique or Craft Boutique in which
homemade items are sold or where individuals rent booths to display their items.
213. One or two cozy pubs/sports bars, not too large, would be a nice fit.
214. Would like to see more Asian options
215. We need less dentists and more fast food in Flower Mound.
216. Stop clustering everything at 407/2499. It's just as far as Grapevine for many of us and it's more of a hassle to get up there than it is to
Grapevine. Spread it out a little!
217. Please, please, please bring in less independent one-off restaurants that no one has heard of and more popular restaurants such as Chuy's and
Taco Cabana so we can keep our money local and stop giving it to other cities that have the restaurants we want.
218. Lakeside DFW is a great location for new Flower Mound business opportunities.
219. Flower Mound is a beautiful quaint community with just the right amount of green space and retail. Taking away the green that is left to add
more retail and restaurants is an absurd idea. Keep flower mound separate from Dallas, if we keep building it will soon be a massive cement
jungle with no difference in one place from another.
220. I hope that Riverwalk will bring more retailers and restaurants to Flower Mound. I prefer them to be nearby in Flower Mound.
221. We'd like to patronize Flower Mound businesses, but there's not enough of a selection.
222. We need more quality fast casual places toward the south end of 2499. That area near Lakeside also desperately needs a place like Eatzi's
where commuters can pick up fresh prepared food on the way out in the morning and on the way back in during the evening hours. It's great
to have Whole Foods in Highland Village but for most of the town that's only convenient on the weekends. We don't drive past it in the way to
or from work. We need something like that on te south end of town.
223. Though I've provided names of big retailers and restaurants, I would love to see small, unique retailers and restaurants rather than the big
brand names.
224. We enjoy a leisurely dinner and a quiet atmosphere with good service and good food.
225. There are plenty of choices--we don't need to tear out any more trees to build more retail establishments. What happened to the rural aspect
of FM?
226. There a no higher end retailers in town. If I am looking for clothing, furniture or a meal, I usually shop in Southlake or Grapevine. I doubt many
of the retailers who are there would be interested in placing their business in FM. It is probably not economically feasible due to our proximity
to those stores and restaurants. Also, not enough people or money in FM.
227. Unique, Fun, Mid Price
228. To make FM a more desirable community, the town council should be focusing on developing and enhancing cycling and walking trails. Also,
recruiting high tech suppliers like Google Fiber for super fast internet connectivity. We have more than enough hamburger and pizza places.
Restaurants and retail establishments do not need to be "recruited". They will follow demand for such services. High tech service providers and
employers need to be recruited. Population will follow desirable amenities like parks and trails that only city government can provide.
229. Don't need chain restaurants, need unique, start up or family owned
230. Need restaurants and stores like Southlake & Grapevine
231. Would be great if Flower Mound would locate same style menu restaurants in other parts of town. We need to give family owned restaurants
the ability to thrive and not be knocked to the curb by franchise restaurants. No, my family is not in the restaurant business, but in corporate
food manufacturing and law profession. Small businesses is what makes America great.
232. We need our own Southlake restaurants and stores here to keep townspeople in our own town
233. NO MORE MEXICAN OR FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS We'll never have great shopping in Flower Mound because we'd need a major mall
234. We need stores like in Southlake Town Center The more stores & restaurants there are here, the less we're likely to leave & do lots of our
business in other areas all at one time, like Southlake.
235. Healthy, quick meals are valuable to young families. Mod Market is a great example of the type of restaurant in which we dine. Thanks for your
hard work and the variety of restaurants we have gained recently.
236. I live in Canyon Falls and I'm wishing that Flower Mound will allow quality grocery stores, shopping and restaurants to be developed along the
377 and FM 1171 intersection. It's takes several minutes drive to go grocery shopping in Flower Mound. It's easier to drive to Roanoke/Trophy

Club than to drive down 1171 to shop. The 377/FM1171 is also near Argyle which is void of any retail shopping so the demographics are there
for developers to get the best return on their investment.
Stop with all the trashy chain restaurants. Try to promote mom and pop joints.
We do not need any more Tex Mex, Mexican or Pizza Places.
Would like to see a lot more non chain places like Verf's, Z Grill, etc
Please enough with the nail salons, banks, donut shops and dry cleaners!!! Good gosh we have ENOUGH!
Keep the small, local businesses coming rather than the chains.
we need a liquor store, tired of driving to other cities to buy liquor.
You're making some good strides of late, keep it local and regional and lay off the low end national chains.
Provide more paths between restaurants and businesses for less driving and more walking. This would be nice especially to have a bridge or
below-highway path to safely cross from one shopping area to another. If signs can describe these connections then people may use them
more as well. These would provide more community exchanges and healthier lifestyles.
I would love to see another bar/grill with live music in Flower Mound. And additional fast food restaurants such as Taco Cabana would be
greatly appreciated.
Central Market would be a FANTASTIC fit for Flo-Mo!
I love the healthier choices the town has brought into our area. We actually eat out more now that there are better, closer to home choices.
Please focus more on national specialty brands rather than local 'mom and pop' shops. The large retailers are the draw to get people in the
area to provide the clients needed to support the local businesses. No one is going to know the small business is there unless they are 'next
door' at a large retailer/restaurant and see the small shop.
I know it's hard to compete, but I would really love to see some retail come in to Lakeside or Riverwalk. We really need a good italian and
barbecue place. And some dirt of entertainment venues to get people to come, then stay to shop and dine. If we can't have Top Golf, how
about a mini golf spot, or cool retro bowling alley?
Please bring Trader Joe's to Flower Mound! Thank you!!
Please choose wisely as it will help to keep the retail dollars local. How about a ski shop like St. Bernard's?
I would like a true sit down ice cream restaurant/parlor
No more Mexican restaurants - PLEASE! We have too many.
Casual bars, nice sports bars, or pubs - not Chilis or Applebees. Craft beer wholly underrepresented in Flower Mound outside of Mellow
Mushroom and the Whip In on Morris/Gerault.
We don't need chains. We need places with good food and maybe some occasional live music to go and hang. We love going to Pirhana, but
we can't eat sushi every night. The music at Z Grill starts too late (yes, I'm old). Spanish guitar with tapas sounds dreamy.
This area needs more restaurants with flexible atmosphere, with varied menus, that are also good night time drink spots.
We need more fast food breakfast options in Highland Village and Flower Mound. One with a drive thru like Taco Cabana
We need more activities and things to do. Look into family-friendly entertainment retailers.
While I do agree we need more retailers & restaurants, we need to make sure we have the infrastructure to support it. We recently dined at
Luna grill and had to park in front of Market Street - there was NO parking anywhere near the restaurant. Same thing happens frequently at
Mellow Mushroom, Texas Roadhouse, Mooyah and other popular places.
Fewer chains, more locally owned options
We need more options on south side of Town. Most everything is at 2499 and 407. We also need more restaurants with live bands playing on
weekend.
No restaurants that are exploitative-skimpy clothes, girls/women. No place for that trash here. Our family won't eat at Jakes, FM, which
represents itself as a family restaurant but the girls are inappropriately dressed and exploited.
More dessert places. We have to venture to Dallas to get good desserts.
Bring in a Main Event or other bowling establishment.
Love all of the new stores and restaurants!
Take a peek at denton town square and their quirky yet affordable restaurants and shops. Also try to get maybe a German restaurant?! Das is
gute!!!
Just that for my restaurant suggestions, I would like to see them located in south Flower Mound, near 2499 and 3040 rather than further
clumped close to 2499 and 407. Like that wasted space west of the Walmart grocery store.
No more donuts, pizza, hamburger places We need some national brands that want to stay to fill up Parker Square, it COULD be a destination
place rather than a pit
We look forward to seeing some of these retailers and restaurants here in flower mound
I would like to see more LOCAL (not chain) retailers and restaurants. Also, I would like to see a NICE steakhouse - I go to PRIME and 12 Stones,
but would like to see something more like a Pappa's or Bobs (I know they won't come to FM) - not really impressed by what we have in town.
Let's get some fine dining and entertainment places in Flower Mound. Our location is really missing these and we have to go to other towns
for these experiences. Especially lakeside can be a great destination location, as there is a lot of desire for this and very little to satisfy.
Any restaurant that puts in a playscape will be instantly popular. For example, Jakes fountains and Market Street playground are always
packed. There is a huge market for this type of dining experience where kids can play outside while parents eat. Also, we desperately need a
baby supply store like buy buy baby or babies r us/toys r us combo.
Mi Dia will be an amazing addition to Flower Mound. Thanks to town staff and council for working to bring this to our town.
less chain restaurants and more variety
Should consider not only establishment for people to support but also to be employed. I recently moved to Flower Mound from Las Colinas. I
am in the F&B industry and would look forward to work closer to home but very limited opportunities. Currently I commute to and from
Dallas. Flower Mound needs operators that economically viable but also present an element of culture that sets it apart from just another
suburb. There's a lot of local businesses looking for that 'right burb'.
Please no more fast food type hamburger or pizza places. Also we have an abundance of donut shops, cleaners and nail salons.
Page 9
277. Unique, but affordable, fresh food places would be appreciated. We love locally owned and small business type places. An Eatzi's would be
really nice. We frequented the Plano one a lot when we lived there.
278. Please continue to attract business to our town so that I don't have to leave Flower Mound to spend my entertainment budget.
279. Please no more nail salons, banks and fast food!
280. I am supportive of full liquor sales in FM. I frequent total wine in Lewisville for wine selection but also ability to shop broader selections of
alcohol. FM is missing tax revenue pushing this business to other cities
281. It would be nice if we could create an area like the shops of legacy where you have a lot of places to eat and shop. Looking for gatherings of
people rather than just a bunch of restaurants put down here and there throughout the town. Was hoping that the Riverwalk would
accomplish this but not sure if it will.
282. Main thing FM is lacking is a good quality BBQ restaurant probably one that is not a chain.
283. We are getting an excellent selection of restaurants and retail. I worry that we may be overbuilding and have to deal with empty storefronts in
the next downturn. I would prefer to grow carefully to make sure that we don't overbuild and make sure our inevitable growth is done
properly in a sustainable manner. Plus, the western corridor of town along 377 and 35W seems more poised for growth than the center of
Flower Mound with the current Riverwalk and Lakeside projects. Please let those mature before bringing in much more new development in
those areas.
284. I constantly hear from other Flower Mound citizens how we need our own Southlake Town Center here in Flower Mound!!!!!
285. Please stop building all this crap!!! We really don't need more aces to spend money. Most of us moved here for the country feel and a lot of us
are moving away due to the loss of that special quality Flower Mound used to have.
286. Playtri is an upscale triathlon store spreading rapidly throughout the DFW area and would serve a large number of active residents looking for
swimming ,biking ,running, accessories, apparel supplies and training as well as weight training ,yoga, and more!
287. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide feedback!
288. good job so far keep em' comming to our town!
289. Please one that has, enough parking, call ahead seating, and maybe meeting or special event space!
290. Would love to see more outside/patio type restaurants. To sit and relax with friends in a nice outdoors atmosphere. Where there are mature
trees and walking paths near the restaurants. Places to sit, like a Central Park feel. I think the families and locals would cater to this type of
area. We need more parks with lots and lots of tree canopy and places for recreational type activities such as, volleyball-sand pits, basketball
and a big play ground area. You can find these places in Euless, Grapevine areas. My teenagers often go over to those parks and participate in
park activities such as volleyball tournaments, basketball, and other group activities with church groups and college groups. They complain
that there are no places nearby. You may want to check into this and visit other communities that are successful in this area. I wish we had
something closer and the kids in FM would really benefit. The churches and other recreational organizations would benefit as well. Otherwise
happy with FM community,
291. Southlake has all the great dining choices!!!
292. We need a good steak place.
293. We need places to buy clothes. We have Belks, Kohls & JC Penny's. Need Dillard's or Macy's.
294. Please put some nice restaurants/shops in Parker Square
295. Restaurants with outdoor seating, Areas where kids can also play
296. I answered this in regards to what I would like, not necessary what is most realistic. You're bringing in Steel City Pops so I know you know
Alabama has got it going on when it comes to food:) These are some of my favorites. I often hear people asking for good barbecue and I just
had my favorite AL bbq in Denver at Jim n Nicks so why not Flower Mound too? Finally, I think we're good on Mexican here.
297. How about getting Central Market here? or Costco?
298. Shouldn't this have been done before the Lakeside Project even started????
299. We would love to see a restaurant open that is not as kid friendly. Flower Mound has many wonderful kid friendly places but sometimes adults
need a place to go that is not loud and over run with children. Love to see a pub with great food open
300. Too many small mom and pop businesses and not enough main stream change stores.
301. Doing great with the selection so far!
302. Please look for healthy dining options. Our town has enough fast food chain restaurants. Seasons 52 would be an excellent addition to our
choices here!
303. Concentrate on organic and gluten-free restaurants. Maybe a fresh juice bar or Paleo restaurant.
304. Instead of bringing in only pricey upscale restaurants, we need a balance with a mix of cafes and some fast food too. Same with retailers. Not
everyone in this town is wealthy or wants to spend a lot of money when they go out. A balance offers options for everyone.
305. I'm concerned that by adding all of these new places so quickly, some aren't going to make it & will be gone in a year. Hope not.
306. There are too many duplicate chain restaurants here. We need more variety. A good Chinese delivery restaurant is needed.
307. I don't want more stores / restaurants if it means additional development areas
308. Too many expensive restaurants.
309. I think the fine dining restaurants are nice, but this is a community full of families and we need more places to eat for families where children
enjoy the food like The Olive Garden or BJ's.
310. Please stop expanding this place is too congested as it is. I have lived here since 94 and it is now way overgrown. The infrastructure is
unsustainable as it is. Please double taxes so you have the money to make this place great.
311. More clothing retailers would be great as well as more options for entertainment and fine dining.
312. I love the new openings in this town. It keeps Flower Mound interesting. :)
313. Would like to see more options for organic and non GMO healthy food dining options at reasonable prices.
314. We have a laughable craft beer scene.
315. Make sure there is balance in variety. We have a ton of pizza places and probably don't need any more, or donut shops.
316. More locally owned (non-franchise) restaurants that are locally sourced similar to monument cafe in Georgetown, TX.
317. I did not move here to go out to eat or shop. I moved here for the serenity of Flower Mound.
Page 10
318. Stop building stuff. Adhere to the master plan
319. Hoping they have more teen shops in town (most of the ones in Highland village shops left). I hate driving to other towns for teen clothes for
my kids.
320. I would love to see a Dave & Busters in the Lakeside area. A good draw for kids and adults in our town, and something more to bring travelers
and conventioners from the airport area.
321. Please for the love of God..no more nail salons or dry cleaners!!!
322. We moved here in 1993 because it was not over crowded. Please slow the growth!!! It takes sooooo long to drive anywhere these days.
323. Just good, fair priced that you can get in and out restaurants.
324. Keep up the good work!
325. There are too many now. Is that all there is? Restaurants I'll try once and retail that I'll never shop at?
326. Chuy's, Zaxby, those two are close and if I remember right, Chuy's has previously expressed interest in building in Flower Mound.
327. Incentives to source local ingredients, organic options, vegan options, and no more tex-mex.
328. No more pizza places, donut shops, hamburger places or cleaners!!!!! Parker Square needs more business's in there. It's not an appealing place
to look.
329. Need a restaurant where one can have a few beers with friends and listen to music in an outdoor venue. Katy Trail Ice House type concept.
330. Trader Joe's would be great.f.m.likes organic quality food without the Whole Food price. Cafe brazil , there's no Brazilian in flo mo.
331. I think that people that gripe about the growth shouldn't be able to go to the new places.
332. Bank ATM's in grocery stores needed? Less fancy, expensive restaurents. Lots of retired folks in Flower Mound would appreciate this!
333. Hopefully with all of the construction going on, we can fill some of our existing spaces as well. Parker Square is an eyesore until some
businesses see a reason to be there
334. I fill these out every time you send them, yet we typically don't see results (think I've seen results of this once). Please publish results as I'm
curious if we're all on the same page.
335. Restaurants with outdoor or open air seating. Casual eclectic Craft beer type restaurants or pubs
336. No more pizza or donuts. Got plenty.
337. Please stop scaring off businesses with strict, senseless regulations. We need to lower homeowners' LISD tax burden.
338. Please focus more on independent or specialty retailers and restaurants. In my opinion, the metroplex is overrun with chains. We don't need to
add to the clutter. We need good, honest stuff that you don't see on every corner. I loved the addition of modmarket and twelve stones. That
makes me feel like we are on the right track. Less Wendy's, more Start. Less Tom Thumb, more Trader Joes.
339. Bring in only high end chains ie. Pappa's, PF Changs, etc. Not really interested in the small no-name places ie. Prime, 12 Stones, etc.
340. No more nail salons, donut shop, Insurance agents, dry cleaners or fast casual!!!!!
341. CREATIVE restaurants with good food. NOT another Chili's over-used chain!
342. Thanks for asking for feedback!
343. Surrounded by communities that welcomed business - opportunity may have passed.
344. Save the trees!!!
345. Please bring more retail, restaurants and a corner store to Lakeside DFW. I don't understand why nothing else is being added to our
community while more & more homes are being built here -- we want to support our community!
346. Flower amount is too suburban and need to be more like north Dallas or Southlake. It's too far to drive out and the traffic is awful so we need
some good things here like in Addison.
347. Leave some nice area, don't cut down all the trees, maybe even make a hiking trail, that would be nice
348. Please focus on developing Lakeside. We moved here with the understanding that the businesses would be completed. Disappointed still have
very few retail or restaurants.
349. Very poor selection of Restaurants. Everything else is pretty awesome.
350. We DO NOT NEED anymore nail salons, massage facilities. Or minor medical facilities either.
351. Would love to have a Central Market or HEB.
352. No more nail shops or donut stores
353. Don't just build new stores and restaurants just for the sake of building. I would like to see empty shopping centers being used before new
ones get built. Perhaps more multi-story developments or shops close together like Southlake Town Center
354. I would love to see a mix of good chain stores (e.g., Williams-Sonoma) with local merchants sprinkled in. Give a tax break and lower rent to the
locals so they can afford the space. Also I would love to have a good farmer's market with local craft artisans, like the Coppell market. It could
be in Parker Square (also try to get some good chains into Parker Square).
355. It would be great to have a good Chinese restaurant in town.
356. I am very happy to see the progress the town has made to allow chef driven, fresh restaurants to flourish. I would prefer we continue that
investment over bringing additional chain restaurants in.
357. I'm very excited about steel city pops and Mi Dias!
358. Although having popular restaurants and retailers is important. But I hope Flower Mound can keep it's unique identity and become another
destination similar to Southlake Town Square. Good luck - I appreciate the chance to participate. Keep Flower Mound beautiful and
awesome!!!!
359. It would be nice to have more variety to chose from in both dining and shopping. A chain is not a bad thing as long as there is not one 5 mins
away like the banks, dry cleaners, donut shops, and nail salons. We have too many of those already.
360. This town desperately needs more family activities such as a bowling alley. There is only so many movies these pre-teen and teens can see and
only so much walking around the shops they can do.
361. I absolutely LOVE Luna Grill! Great job for bringing them into Flower Mound!!!
362. I'd prefer that FM be more particular about the restaurants' employee dress "uniform". I was disappointed that I don't feel comfortable visiting
Jakes. I thought they were a family friendly place...not dressed like that!!
363. Please bring in more ethnic options and fine dining restaurants.
Page 11
364. Prefer to less less chain restaurants and more independent restaurants.
365. We need more variety. We have tons of fast food restaurants which is great but not many restaurants for going on date nights with the
husband. We mainly go to Southlake or Fort Worth to get a real dining experience and would LOVE to have something much closer to home.
Also because Janie and Jack and children's place is gone in finding myself shopping online much more than I ever have. I would rather put that
back into our community. We need more boutique style children and women's stores.
366. TRADER JOES!!! PLEASE!!! Anytime I am in the Southlake or Plano Trader Joe's (I drive over there weekly for groceries), I almost always see
someone from Flower Mound spending money in another town. The employees have told me Flower Mound is mentioned often for new
locations. Sprouts is almost always crowded anytime I go in there. Clearly, there is a market for people looking for affordable, convenient,
healthy foods in the Town of Flower Mound.
367. We have enough pizza places already.
368. Slow the flow. We have too much of the same thing. Why add so much stuff at once? Who needs a popsicle store?? I haven't had a popsicle
in....can't even remember and my kids rarely eat them. I can't see anyone eating them come December.
369. Thank you for all that you do to make Flower Mound such a great community!
370. More specialty organic retail shops would be nice.
371. There needs to be more business that caters to family. Every one seems to complain that kids ruin dinner at a restaurant. SO GET restaurants
that have parks and playspaces attached to them. Also, there is NOTHING to do in flower mound. Seriously, do you see any 20-somethings
roaming around here? No! The population consists of soccer moms and tweens. SO CATER TO THAT! A great idea would be to get a putt putt
golf course or something. Do you know how many church groups and tweens would utilize that. Its a gold mine. Also, it will look more like a
park because of the grass, instead of some gross parking lot for yet another DONUT SHOP, DENTIST OR NAIL SALON. GROSS! Get some fun
out here. Sheesh. Ive already gone to moviehouse 4 times since it opened last month. WE NEED MORE ENTERTAINMENT! AGGGHHHH! ok,
vent over. thanks : )
372. Please put in a Taco Bueno like the ones in Southlake or Roanoke.
373. We really need a music store (guitars, etc) on the 2499 side of town.
374. We just need more options, besides medical and office buildings.
375. More vegetarian and vegan restaurants please. Less nail salons, banks and cleaners
376. a drive-in theater would be a wonderful family place...maybe somewhere near lakeside...a Wawa has been a want for many years...a lot of us
northerners miss our Wawa...but won't give up the Texas life. :-)
377. No more dry cleaners or nail salons please or gas stations
378. It would be nice to have original restaurants - not chains.
379. I would love for our town to have shopping that's as great as the Southlake town square area. I had such hopes for our area but we driven out
Thai Tango and the other good restaurants that were in Parker Square. It was a shame.
380. Do a better job of parking for any new retail
381. Would love to have a grocery store near Lakeside DFW.
382. I'd really like to see more locally owned businesses and A LOT less chain and franchise restaurants. Downtown Grapevine is a prime example of
stores and shopping that I would love to see in the area.
383. Would love a restaurant like the Rustic or Chicken Scratch with fun outdoor seating and live music
384. We almost always go out of Flower Mound to shop and to dine. Tired of chain food restaurants like Chili's, etc. Want more variety. As for
shopping, there really isn't anywhere to shop without going to another city.
385. It would be nice to attract more restaurants that are not burgers, Mexican food or Italian. We have more than enough now.
386. There seems to be a high concentration of higher end retailers, restaurants and entertainment moving in to the community. Lets not lose focus
on the fact that our town also includes citizens that are lower income and/or relaxed in their retail and entertainment needs. Remember just 20
years ago we were considered a small farming and ranch community, we don't need to compete with Plano, Frisco and Southlake we need to
be unique. If some folks want a fancy restaurant then they can drive a little further to Southlake. We are turning our town and it's youth into a
bunch of spoiled little snobs.
387. Yes, we need more Chinese or Asian restaurants or a nice Sushi buffet place.
388. I appreciate the idea of supporting local small businesses; however, in my opinion, many of the businesses in the area (past and present) lack
continuity of service and quality. Over time, this makes patronizing other establishments in surrounding areas more appealing.
389. more craft beer options
390. Please no more donut shops, subways or pizza places. We have enough of those. Let's get something different. We love Jake's! We were going
to the Jakes in Grapevine and now we can just go across the road!
391. I think you are doing a good job at getting more restaurants in town.
392. We need a place to buy baby clothes and toys and maternity clothing. This town does not cater to young families so we may as well have
bought in Frisco.
393. We need some good super markets like Trader Joes and Central Market. Although very thankful for Whole Foods.
394. We need more places with great patios/restaurant/bar combos.
395. FM is a food wasteland. There are only a handful of non-chain restaurants that are good. We need to recruit more unique culinary places to
give FM some flair.
396. Nice to see fine dining coming to Flower Mound. We have no sports stores and then we have multiple stores. We don't need so many of the
same thing. Doc in the box places are popping up everywhere, how many do we need? An empty lot with trees always looks better than a lot
with an empty building.
397. More support for independent restaurants (we loved Dolce and miss it terribly!) and a stronger presence of stores in Highland Village - that
shopping center has lost some great retailers in the last 2-3 years and has struggled to replace them.
398. I would love a Farmers Market
399. I and many others in Flower Mound eat kosher and therefore we go to Dallas to the Kosher Tom Thumbs and kosher Restaurants. We do go to
Trader Joe's in Plano vs Southlake b/c they are more kosher meat.

The town has made a lot of progress in the past few years! You've been able to attract a lot of my favorite stores!
Seafood, breweries, and non-chain restaurants are the biggest gap we find in FM.
Please no more retail or restaurants. I would like to see a focus on recreation and entertainment.
More older adult activities of interest including live music- Too many kid places are everywhere
I think the town is doing a great job bringing in new business! Keep it up!
It has been fun to see the new restaurants added over the last few yrs added to flower mound...and the new ones with plans to come. I have
lived in this community since the early 1980's and have loved every moment of such a wonderful town.
There are no specific restaurants that I would like to have here, because Flower Mound has ENOUGH chain restaurants. Rent needs to be lower
so that unique individually owned restaurants can afford to come here, and we don't have to go into Dallas for that. We need more ethnic
cuisine that isn't already here, something besides Mexican, Italian, Chinese.
Panera Bread!!!
No more nail salons dry cleaners or donut shops. I feel I see these retailers everywhere and they are all the same.
Love all the new restaurants so far.
We need a true sports bar.
Need Trader Joes. Been trying to get it here for 13 years. ??????
I think Flower Mound has made great progress in recent years with lots of great new restaurants!
We already have SO much here that it's a great place to live as it is!
We need an upscale area like Plano has with restaurants and shops. We could also use some chain restaurants so we don't have to travel to
Southlake to eat.
It would be nice to have a few bar options in Flower Mound
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help us get a Trader Joe's!!
Keep our nature!!!!!
I talked to the owner of Snappy Salads once and he said that FM is not a lunch crowd. I think that is highly inaccurate because I'm a stay-athome mom. I know for a fact that moms are a huge lunch crowd and we'd LOVE healthier lunch dining options. Someone go after Snappy
Salads! Also, get more restaurants out toward 3040 and Morris/Garden Ridge. We live out there and always end up going to Lewisville for all
shopping and eating because all the FM eating joints are farther for us to drive too. We want to support our community but it just doesn't
make sense for us to drive 1/2 across town to go eat.
Make rent more affordable for retailers
We need more entertainment and nightlife. Activities. Please put in a Frisco Gun club or the like. There's nothing around in under 30 minutes
and there's a lot of people traveling for it. There's nothing to do here- so we go out of town. Often.
More eating establishments that offer a larger selection for vegans.
Get several Whataburgers with the distinctive orange & white buildings and signs!!!!
Fewer donut shops, nail shops, hair shops please.
An Apple Store would be a great addition to the town. Costco also would be nice.
The eating places that are in Flower Mound are mostly fast food or the stand in line to give your order and it may or may not be brought to
your table. Flower Mound is building 6 figures and more in price for a home yet they do not look for upscale restaurants to feed them nor do
they seem to care about serving the people of Flower Mound. You are looking at a town full of people that pay high taxes and yet the money
is leaving Flower Mound in order for people to go to a nice restaurant. Grapevine, Southlake even Fort Worth and Dallas benefit from Flower
Mound. Don't you think those communities start coming over here? I do. Flower Mound has built lots of houses in the last 6 years. Where are
the furniture stores in Flower Mound to shop for furniture? Where are the clothing stroes. Where are the nice shoe stores. You have failed to
realize that people who buy $500,000 to over a $1,00,00 houses are more and more going out of town for clothes and furniture and eating
because Flower Mound doesn't have it. Plano, Frisco, and Richardson have attracted new businesses to make their headquarters here in Texas?
Did Flower Mound even try to attract them? Think on these things! What about small upscale gift shops!
