29-31 October 2014 CNR EXPO FIRST EDITION AUTUMN WINTER 1516 THE PREMIUM HUB FOR MIDDLE EAST & EASTERN EUROPE FASHION WITH 8,294 VISITORS, PREMIÈRE VISION ISTANBUL MARKS SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH, SURPASSING OBJECTIVES This past 31 October, after three days of intense activity at CNR Expo, Première Vision Istanbul closed the doors on its first edition. The show was organised by a new company controlled 51% by Première Vision - the leading international trade show for the fashion industry - and 49% by CNR Holding - the leading organiser of trade shows in Turkey and manager of the CNR Expo Istanbul exhibition centre. The show’s goal: to accompany a vibrantly dynamic Turkish textile industry - 16% of the Turkish industrial sector and the second leading export area - in both a local market that is rapidly growing more sophisticated, and in regional Middle Eastern and Eastern European markets. Held in the heart of the Turkish economic capital, Première Vision Istanbul benefitted from the strengths of both entities: the experience, reputation and legitimacy of Première Vision in terms of international textile industry players, as well as its network and fashion expertise, together with the event expertise and knowledge of the Turkish market provided by CNR Holding. The event also benefitted from the direct and active support of the country’s two main professional associations, the Union of Uludag Exporters (UTIB) and the Istanbul Union of Textile and Raw Materials Exporters (IKTIB). Objectives met right from the first edition • In terms of the offer, first of all, Première Vision Istanbul brought together some 153 exhibitors: 57% of exhibiting companies were Turkish and 43% were international - from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal, Romania - selected by a Committee of industry professionals. Faithful to the positioning and identity of the Première Vision trade fairs throughout the world, the show presented a rich and diversified offer of textiles and materials - yarns and fibres, fabrics, accessories, denim - and services - textile designs, promotional organisations - marked by creativity and innovation, and of a very high quality and level. A unique selective offer new to Turkey, both in quantity and quality, corresponding to the needs of the Turkish domestic market and neighbouring developing markets. Major names from the international textile industry included: Akın Tekstil, Çalık Denim, İskur Tekstil, Sanko Tekstil and Saydam Tekstil from Turkey; and from abroad: Marzotto Group, Miroglio, Clerici, Seterie Argenti, Bottonificio BAP (Italy), Paulo de Oliveira and Riopele (Portugal), Creations Robert Vernet and Malhia Kent (France), Kindermann (Germany) and Lenzing (Austria). • In terms of visitors, with 8,294 visitors, Première Vision Istanbul can take pride in an extremely successful launch. Visitors from Turkey totalled 83% of attendees, but a large number came from neighbouring countries as well (1,381 visitors), representing fashion brands and industry professionals from the region, attracted by Istanbul as a regional hub extending from Eastern Europe to Asia Minor - Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece, and Iran and Egypt. A very positive result, far exceeding the targets set by Première Vision, confirming that the show was awaited in the region, and also demonstrating the attractiveness of the Première Vision brand and know-how. A challenge successfully met for the show organiser, which skilfully anticipated Istanbul’s potential as an essential regional industry platform, and which has established itself thanks to the right concept and the necessary, adapted investments. Acclaim for the autumn winter 2015-16 fashion expertise Based on the concept of the Première Vision shows, specific services and fashion information tailored to the zone’s local markets and regions were put in place. Visitors to the Istanbul show enthusiastically applauded this seasonal fashion information, a pillar of Première Vision’s strength and reputation around the world. For the autumn winter 2015-16 season presented at the show, the Première Vision fashion teams displayed the fashion directions, the rich and diverse offer of the exhibitors, and the seasonal colour range, all in an inspirational forum especially designed for Première Vision Istanbul. Visitors were also able to get a better understanding of the season through fashion seminars presented both by the Première Vision fashion team - with seasonal directions and keys to understanding the show’s offer, - and by the Carlin trend bureau, which focused on style and silhouette information. A second event already eagerly awaited Based on this successful first edition, Première Vision and CNR Holding intend to continue a steady but regular development of the event so as to establish it as an essential appointment for a diverse and rapidly evolving region, in complement to the global reach of Première Vision Paris.
