Leonard Hamilton, was named the National Coach of
the Year by Basketball Times and the ACC Coach of
the Year by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media
Association in 2009
Hamilton was the
Washington Wizards' head coach in 2001 and the
head coach at the University of Miami for ten years
prior to that (1991-00) when he became the eighth
head coach in Florida State men's basketball history. In his final season at
Miami, Hamilton guided the Hurricanes to their second straight 20-win season,
a share of the Big East regular season championship and the school's first trip
to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
At the end of the 1999 season. He was named Big East Coach of the Year for

Gregory led the University of Dayton to 97 victories over
the last four years and worked under Tom Izzo at
Michigan State when the Spartans won the 2000 NCAA
championship. He is the 13th head coach in Yellow
Jacket history.
Gregory coached eight seasons at Dayton where he
compiled a record of 172-94 and participated in the NCAA
Tournament or NIT five times. His 2003-04 and 2008-09
teams earned NCAA Tournament berths and last season the Flyers captured
the NIT crown after beating North Carolina in the championship game. The
1990 Oakland (Mich.) University graduate won 150 games faster (seven
seasons) than any coach in Dayton history.

Devon Bookert made 2 FT with 5.1” left to give FSU its second consecutive win at the
McCammish Pavilion---10th straight win over Tech. FSU trailed 53-48 with 3:31 left, but
held the home team scoreless the rest of the game. Xavier Rathan –Mayes scored a game
high 20 points, while Jarquez Smith added 15p, 6rb and 3 BK.. FSU became just the 3rd
team to out-rebound the Jackets(35-34) and had 9 blocks(matching an ACC best (3x). FSU
led 32-23 at half-time. The NOles had 18 turnovers and the Yellow Jackets scored 19
points off those turnovers.
Michael Snaer’s driving lay-up beat the buzzer by a half second and FSU beat GaTech for
the 8th straight time---4th in a row in Atlanta. It was Snaer’s 3rd buzzer beating basket of the
season and his 5th career buzzer beater. Snaer led all scorers with 15 points. Boris
Bojanovsky had a career high 10. FSU out-rebounded Tech 30-24---FSU had been outrebounded in 9 straight games(since Tulsa)

Devon Bookert scored 16 points off the bench, going 4 for 4 on 3-pointers, Okaro White
finished with 18 for Florida State as Aaron Thomas added 15. Montay Brandon grabbed a
game-high and career-high tying 12 rebounds. The Seminoles shot 61.1 percent from the
field after halftime.(52% for the game) and cashed in from the line—31-37FT.
FSU won its school record 6th straight ACC game despite poor shooting in the first half.
The NOles trailed 25-24 at halftime, but exploed for 44 2nd half points , led by Michael
Snaer. Snaer scored a game high 22p(16 in 2nd half). He also had a career high 5 steals.
Brandon Reed led GaTech with 18p and Derrick Miller had 10p and 9 rebounds for the
Yellow Jackets. FSU forced 24 turnovers, and committed just 15
GaTechs 7 game winning streak.
