Dana Foley sold her original designs while Anna Corinna sold her expertly curated vintage clothing. Each had acquired a cult following of downtown fashionistas and established designers who found inspiration in their style. Dana and Anna quickly realized the synergy of their design aesthetic and eye for trends resulting in a potent blend of style and launched Foley + Corinna in 1998. The following year, the first Foley + Corinna boutique opened on the Lower East Side, fully stocked with Foleylabeled apparel and Anna Corinna one-of-a-kind bags. By November 2003 retail accounts increased from 50 to over 100 and F +C became a staple amongst the celebrity crowd. Within a year, Foley + Corinna began producing handbags in a cohesive line as opposed to single-issues and retailers rose to over 300 stores worldwide. At the same time, the press caught wind of the brands popularity and publications such as Harper’s, InStyle and British Vogue all featured the brand. 2004 marked an exciting milestone in the growth of Foley + Corinna. They reopened their boutique in larger space on Stanton Street and held a launch event hosted by Lucky Magazine. By 2007, Foley + Corinna had become a ubiquitous name within the contemporary market place and celebrated its presence on the West Coast, with another star-studded event, which took place at the Chateau Marmont in July. The Dixie Chicks, Molly Sims, and Nicole Miller were just some of the attendees. In June 2008 the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) took notice of all of the acclaim the brand and its designers had achieved and invited Dana and Anna to join their ranks. In July 2010, Foley + Corinna powered into the future, launching its own online store – its first venture in selfbranded e-commerce. In late 2011, Artisan House purchased Foley + Corinna, adding it to their portfolio of proprietary brands. Under the Artisan House roof, Foley + Corinna continues to grow their handbag lines with top-tier resources at their fingertips. Today, Foley + Corinna remains a favorite of editors, stylists, celebrities and fashion icons everywhere. b ra n d d es c ription Sometimes sexy, sometimes understated, but always striking. Almost immediately after debuting, the collections received overnight success. In 2001, the designers were nominated for the CDFA Perry Ellis Award for Excellence as well as the Designer of the Year Award from the Accessories Council in the same year. Isabella Fiore was the first of its kind to create a contemporary handbag niche within the marketplace. For the first time, consumers were able to purchase a designer handbag at an affordable price; a revolution that still exists today. Gracing the pages of publications such as Instyle, People Style Watch, Lucky, Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue and Elle, Isabella Fiore established itself as one of the most successful contemporary handbag brands on the market early on and has only advanced on this notion over the years. Isabella Fiore continues to be a favorite among celebrity fashion icons such as Jessica Szor, Katherine Heigl, Kate Bosworth, Mena Suvari, Jennifer Garner and Kate Hudson, whom the designs have been spotted on. Perhaps most notably, in 2006, Katie Holmes wore the famous Whip Flash Audra, named after the stitching used to construct it, called “whip stitch,” on her first date with Tom Cruise in Italy. Frenzy quickly ensued, prompting the Isabella Fiore team to create the bag, which was originally made for press, for the general public. People loved it so much, it not only sold out immediately but it is still one of the most commonly seen designs on the streets. Today, Isabella Fiore is owned by parent company Artisan House, helmed by Steve Russo and maintains its artistic and free spirited approach of the past, while providing unique artwork and fine, handmade craftsmanship. b ran d d es c ription Isabella Fiore represents the art of subtle contradiction between the past and current, masculine and feminine, and the expected and unexpected. Designed with the Isabella Fiore girl in mind, the collections embody a carefree, spontaneous, fun, hip, and inspired individual, who relishes the bohemian, traveler lifestyle. Similarly, pieces are elegant but understated; they are often vibrantly colored and made from hand woven leather, original artwork, beading and embroidery with materials imported from all over the globe. The designs are fun, feminine but presented in a sophisticated and luxurious way. nota b l e sto c kists Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Kitson pri c e point $250-$425 isa b e l l a fiore c a m pai g ns isa b e l l a fiore c a m pai g ns isa b e l l a fiore press isa b e l l a fiore a d v ertisin g isa b e l l a fiore BL O GG E R S a b out d anie l l e ni c o l e Danielle Nicole handbags fuse runway inspiration and real life accessibility in a feminine, chic and contemporary way. The brand represents a fresh twist on classic styling and incorporates detailed custom hardware and exclusive materials from all around the world. Danielle Nicole was founded by Designer and Creative Director Danielle DiFerdinando, who began her journey in the fashion industry at the age of 18. While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, her passion led her to study abroad in Europe where she apprenticed with several major high-end design houses. Upon returning, Danielle put her new insider’s view of the design and manufacturing process to work by designing, constructing and, of course, wearing her own handbags. It was during her internship at Bergdorf Goodman that her talent was first noticed. The cosmetic buyer was impressed by Danielle’s work and asked her to create a line of cosmetic bags for the store. The rest, as they say, is history. Before long, Danielle was designing complete leather collections for Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Lane Crawford. Having already seen success in just a few years, the brand was taken to the next level in 2010 after becoming part of the Artisan House company, founded by Steve Russo. The category expertise and resources of Artisan House enabled the Danielle Nicole brand to flourish. Danielle’s incredible journey continues. The brand is currently sold in major retailers and specialty boutiques all over the world, and has attracted a growing following of celebrities and fashion trendsetters. Never taking her success for granted, Danielle is committed to giving back. She serves as a member on the Board of Associates for Ronald McDonald House New York, and has volunteered and helped raise funds for notable charities like the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, House of Ruth, the Lupus Foundation, and American Heart Association. b ran d d es c ription Danielle Nicole Handbags are fashion-right, elegant and edgy. Having launched their blog, BagSnob.com, 10 years ago, the two have become the go-to site for discovery and information about the latest accessory trends for the season. Their following includes luxury brands and designers, all huge fans and supporters of this dynamic duo. The credibility of the Bag Snob blog is what has differentiated them from the rest. Both women find themselves from front row seats at fashion runway shows to contributing for major publications. It is this incredible access and experience that laid the groundwork for the launch of the Snob Essentials brand in Spring 2014. Craig and Cook have set out to change the landscape of traditional luxury by bringing elevated designs with a precise eye for detail and craftsmanship at an accessible price point. The designs are based on adhering to the 4 pillars of their vision: Fashion, Function, Quality, Value. “I feel like we have lived the ultimate fashion fairy tale, and now we have come full circle,” says Craig, looking back at the past year, one that saw the transition from bloggers to designers.
