Georgia is coming off a 197.525-196.825 loss at No. 1 Florida last week, while the Bruins defeated Arizona State, 198.050-194.850, on Sunday. Georgia and UCLA have combined to win 13 of the last 15 NCAA titles, including seven by the Gym Dogs and six by the Bruins. Georgia-UCLA History This marks the 52nd all-time meeting between Georgia and UCLA with the Gym Dogs holding a 35-16 advantage. In 16 dual meets between the two schools, Georgia is 12-4. Georgia has won the last four regular season meetings, including a thrilling 197.900-197.875 win over the eventual national champion Bruins in 2010 and a 196.175-195.750 win last year in Los Angeles. This is UCLA’s third trip to Athens in as many years. In the 2011 NCAA Athens Regional, the Bruins and Gym Dogs placed first and second, respectively, to advance to the NCAA Championships. Noteworthy UCLA scored a 198.050 in its win over Arizona State last Sunday. The last time a team posted a 198 was in 2009 when Georgia beat Florida 198.200-196.650 ... She set a career-high with a 39.450 against Kentucky on Feb. 18, and nearly matched it with a 39.425 at Florida last week ... Based on scoring averages, Georgia ranks fourth overall, third on bars, fourth on beam, eighth on floor and ninth on vault. Last Time Out Georgia posted its second-highest road score of the season, but it wasn’t enough to beat No. 1 Florida as the Gators prevailed 197.525-196.825 last Friday at the O’Connell Center. The Gym Dogs lost despite their highest road vault score of the year and their second-best road bars, beam and floor scores. Kat Ding had a 39.450 in her third straight all-around, and Noel Couch nearly matched her career-high with a 39.425. Rankings Georgia enters the month of March and the final two weeks of the regular season ranked No. 4 in the GymInfo Top 25.
