This Directory
USCC Website
Our objective in preparing and distributing this Directory is to put people in touch with those entities that can offer services, products and
advice about the rapidly expanding composting and organics recycling
industry in the United States. Facilitating communication and interaction between the supply and demand sides of the composting industry
is one of the key roles that the USCC plays in our ongoing mission to
promote composting and compost utilization.
The USCC website—www.compostingcouncil.org—is an easy to use
and valuable reference site which everyone interested in compost and
organics issues and informational resources should have tabbed as
one of their “favorite places” on the internet. Many new features have
been added and more are planned for the coming months. New features include the ability to make payments for membership, the annual
conference and periodicals on-line, list your resume on-line, advertise
for employees, a number of new fact sheets for your use, and many
other new features.
This Directory contains the contact details and a brief description of
the activities of the USCC members, as well as other important compost related information sources across the country. We hope that we
can make it easier for our members, and all other interested parties,
to find the products and services that they need. Entries are listed in
alphabetical order. The US Composting Council would like to thank all
of its members for their assistance in the production of this Directory.
There are also the old stand bys, such as, the storefront area for members to advertise their services and products; a member’s only section
where you can find the current membership list and the latest RFP’s,
bids and grants available for new projects; an events and training page
where you will be able to find information on events sponsored by the
USCC and other organizations.
This Membership Directory is provided to you as one of the benefits
of membership in the USCC. Additional copies of this Directory, along
with other USCC publications, can be ordered from the USCC office
or by completing the Publications Order Form on the USCC website
www.compostingcouncil.org
The USCC is also developing plans to offer members the ability to
purchase advertising space. Anyone who would like to have events
or training listed on the calendar, purchase website advertising space
or provide any suggestions regarding the web site should forward the
information to uscc@compostingcouncil.org. Please visit the website
frequently and put these improvements to use to help your business
grow!

Wheeling, WV 26003

The ArrowBio technology processes
mixed MSW without need for
elaborate source separation. The
system's front-end uses gravitational
separation in water, aided by
hydraulic, mechanical,
electromagnectic and pneumatic
devices to recover nonbiodegradable recyclables and
remove nonprocessible materials.
The water comes from the waste.
Biodegradables dissolve, and others
are reduced to fine particulates. The
isolated organics undergo two-stage
anaerobic digestion at the system's
back-end: acidogenic followed by
methanogenic digestion of the
Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket
(UASB) type.

The West Yellowstone Compost
Facility composts unsorted municipal
solid waste collected in Yellowstone
National Park and the surrounding
region. A wet mill homogenizes the
floor sorted MSW, and a mixer
blends in amendments and bulking
agents. The material is composted
in automatically controlled and
monitored concrete tunnels. A duel
screening process removes
contaminants and the final compost
product is used in Yellowstone
National Park and the surrounding
area.
