FESTIVAL GIVEAWAYS
Giveaways and premiums must be appropriate for families and preapproved by Festival staff.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
No food or beverage can be distributed on-site without prior
approval from Festival staff. Anyone distributing any type of preapproved food must purchase a City of Houston Food Permit through
the Festival staff. Sponsors who are sampling MUST keep sample
sizes to 2 oz or less. Please e-mail Beth Harp at
bharp@spectrumfcs.com if you have any questions.
The hospitality area will be located in the City Hall Rotunda and on the
Bagby Side of City Hall. Based on their level of sponsorship, each sponsor
will be given a certain amount of meal tickets and PURPLE wristbands
which will say “Sponsor Hospitality.” PURPLE wristbands are also good for
Festival entry. Sponsors wearing a PURPLE wristband do not need to wear a
GREEN sponsor wristband for entry into the event.
Please inform your
guest that the wristband must be secured tightly to their wrist in order to
enter. Also, each guest must have a meal ticket in order to enjoy lunch. Food
and drink are generously donated by McDonald’s, DoubleTree by Hilton
Hotel Houston Downtown, Shipley Do-nuts, Dr. Pepper and Sparklett’s Water.
POLICIES & RULES
Child Advocates, Inc. staff and court-appointed volunteers do not promote
any specific personal value or religious preference to the children they
serve. In alignment with this commitment and out of respect for all
individuals and the diversity of the children and families that attend the
McDonald’s Houston Children’s Festival, we request that for the duration
of the Festival, corporate sponsors, media partners, vendors and volunteers
refrain from offering booth activities and distributing materials that
promote a specific personal value or religious preference.
SPONSOR FRIENDLY
WATER - SPARKLETTS
 ALL sponsors, volunteers & non-profit partners must use only
SPARKLETT’S WATER on-site. Sparklett’s water may be purchased
pre-event for $10.00 per case of 24 bottles. Water purchased pre-event
will be delivered to the sponsor’s booth by Sparklett’s.
 Sparklett’s water may also be purchased on-site at any Beverage Booth
for 12 coupons per case.
ICE
 Sponsors may purchase ice at any beverage booth for 5 coupons per
20 lb bag.

you can do this at the Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon or by e-mailing

The event headquarters is located on Allen Parkway Outbound under the I-45
overpass. Shipping address is 100 Allen Parkway Outbound, Houston, Texas
77002.

The Largest Children’s Festival
in the United States!
The Event will provide minor First Aid, (i.e. Band-Aids etc.) which will be
located near the intersection of Bagby & McKinney on the Bagby side of City
Hall.
The Houston Fire Department EMS & Houston Police Department Mobile
Command Center are located at Bagby & Lamar and will be on-site
throughout the event. In case of an EMS/Security situation, contact any staff
or security personnel or go to any Admission, Coupon or Beverage booth
and ask for the booth supervisor to radio for assistance.
FROM I-45 NORTH
Exit Dallas, turn left on W. Dallas, which curves to the north and becomes Bagby Street.
Turn right onto Dallas. Turn left onto Louisiana, then turn left onto Capitol. Turn left
onto Bagby, then left onto Rusk. Enter Theatre District parking off of Rusk.
FROM I-45 SOUTH
Exit at Houston/Memorial Avenue (Exit 47B).

FROM I-10 WEST
Exit Downtown Destinations/Smith Street (769A). Right on Capitol, left on Bagby, left on
Rusk to Theatre District Parking.
FROM I-10 EAST
Each child who comes through our gates will be “tagged” with a sticker that
has their guardian’s name and mobile phone number. The Lost Kids booth
will be located near the intersection of Bagby & McKinney on the Bagby side
of City Hall. This is where lost kids will safely wait for their parents or
guardians to find them. This area will be open during the event on Saturday
& Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. If you find a lost child or parent, please
look for a volunteer in

Exit San Jacinto, which turns into Fannin. Turn right onto Capitol, left onto Bagby, left
onto Rusk to Theatre District Parking.
RAMP CLOSURE: The McKinney Street Southbound exit ramp off I-45 will be closed
7:00 pm, Friday, April 22, and re-opened 5:00 am on Monday, April 25.

Set up for all sponsors who are not located in the street
City of Houston closes Festival streets to traffic and clears all cars
Sponsor Booth and/ or Activity set up in the street. If your location is in the street, set-up
may begin at after 8:00 PM
Temporary fencing secures the site at night and event security will also roam the site. Do not leave expensive items such
as televisions and computers. We do not assume responsibility for items left overnight.
Saturday, April 23, Festival Site, Downtown Houston
The Yellow Pass is your Site Access and Parking Pass. This
pass will grant you access onto the site at the designated VE #
(vehicle entry # is on your pass) Once you are off loaded at
your booth you will use this same pass to park. Display parking
pass on your dashboard. The parking is generously donated by
City of Houston and the Mayors Office of Special Events.
Each pass allows for free parking at City Hall Annex lot,
located at the corner of Bagby and Walker at 900 Bagby.
Your pass must be placed in the dashboard of your vehicle
and shown to the security personnel to enter site and at the City
Hall Annex parking lot to avoid parking charges. No oversized
vehicles allowed.

DURING THE EVENT, THERE IS NO PARKING AT ANY TIME:
 On Bagby between Walker and Rusk
 On Walker between Bagby and Allen Parkway & Sabine
Look for our Volunteer Director & Coordinators throughout the site who will be wearing
vests. They can radio Beth
or Kelly with the Sponsorship Department if you cannot reach them by cell phone. There are yellow vest volunteers with a radio in
every Admission, Coupon and Beverage Booth.
