Nusa Lembogan is a true island paradise, a world away from the hassle and hectic pace of South Bali. Neither hawkers nor traffic mar the magnificent scenery; this is a fine place to just put your feet up and relax. Main activities include surfing, diving and snorkeling. The water is some of the clearest you will find anywhere, and a vivid aqua blue in colour. Even as Nusa Lembongan grows in popularity, it remains a mellow place. Many areas around the island are good for diving and snorkeling, with abundant marine life and healthy coral. For surfers the waves are good with several popular reef breaks. There are several white sand beaches away from the main centres which are virtually never crowded and the secluded and traditional Nusa Ceningan is a fun scooter or bike ride away over a small bridge. Many Santosha students (and teachers!) have visited this island and fallen in love with its relaxed pace, stunning beaches and breathtaking sunset views. It is the perfect place to relax and revitalise away from the stresses of the fast paced world. We would like to prescribe to everyone some time on this magical island paradise to rejuvenate and renew! For this very reason we are so excited to be sharing our new shala in this beautiful location with our 2017 students. We cannot wait to show off our new home and enjoy all the island has to offer with you! Nusa Lembongan – How to Get There There are a wide range of options available for boat travel from Bali to Nusa Lembongan.. Which boat you take depends mainly upon your budget and time frame. If you are coming from Bali, all boats leave from north Sanur, where the harbour is located at the end of Jalan Hang Tuah. You will find the offices for all boat companies on this street. To reach Sanur, you will fly into (Ngurah Rai) Denpasar Airport in Bali. Sanur is around 45 minutes drive from the airport. Rocky and other Fast Boat services can arrange an airport pick up for you. Request with them at time of booking. Fast Boats – Santosha recommends!! 20 – 30 mins - approx 500.000 IDR return ($50 AU) Packages include pick-up from south Bali and transfer to your hotel in Nusa Lembongan. Rocky Fast Cruises: This company offers a complete package and provides transport door to door throughout south Bali. They have four departures throughout the day and take care of your luggage. See more here: https://rockyfastcruise.com/ Scoot: http://www.scootcruise.com/ Bali Fast Boats booking agent: http://www.balifastboats.com/ Other options: Public Slow Boat: These large wooden outrigger boats leave Sanur at 10:30 and cost 100,000 IDR ($10). The journey takes about 1.5hrs. Return boats leave Lembongan only once a day at 08:00 am. The public boat organisation is run as a cooperative, so each day a different family provides the service. When you arrive in Jungutbatu, be aware that you may not come into the public boat office, but return to the family mooring somewhere along the beach. Most guesthouses offer a free pick up service – specify that you will be landing here. Public Speed Boat: The public speed boat leaves Sanur at 09:00am, 12:30pm and 16:00pm and takes 30 min to reach Lembongan. Don't get on a boat at other times unless you want to end up on Mushroom Beach, which requires a motorbike taxi to get to our side of the island. Return boats leave Lembongan at 08.00am, 10:30am and 15:00am. Like the public slow boats, you may be dropped anywhere along the beach when you arrive in Lembongan; not necessarily at the public boat office.
