Through their awards, arbitral tribunals contribute to the strengthening and development of the international legal order, and no international lawyer could fail to quote them in furtherance of his legal reasoning. Until now, research has been hampered by the difficulty of finding the decisions. This new Repertory is intended to eradicate this problem. It covers the widest possible field of international arbitration, including ad hoc arbitrations between States as well as decisions of claims commissions, judgments of Mixed Arbitral Tribunals and transnational awards. The Editors have selected extracts from the awards which present the legal rules by the arbitral bodies in each case, and they have organized them in a thematic order. The Repertory is composed of quotations from the actual text of the decisions given in their French and/or English authentic version. Accompanied by several indexes, the Repertory should enable the reader to find his law conveniently, and to trace the evolution of all aspects of international law over the last two hundred years. The Repertory of International Arbitral Jurisprudence was awarded, after publication of its first two volumes, the Rene Cassin Prize (Academic des Sciences morales et politiques, Institut de France), and the Certificate of Merit of the American Society of International Law. This three volume set is now complete and may be ordered at a reduced price. 1991,1:1044 pp., II: 1040 pp. Hardbound $585.00/Dfl. 895.00/C306.00 ISBN 0-7923-1090-X Set ISBN 90-247-3760-5 Martlnus Nijhoff Publishers, Dordrecht P.O.
