IT-CLEX: Fighting Early School Leaving
IT-CLEX is a European initiative that aims to
respond to the need to reduce drop-out rates and
improve the quality of education and training in
Europe.
IT-CLEX will identify and transfer best practices
especially focused on active co-operation
between educational and non-educational actors.
Who can benefit?
IT-CLEX is addressed to teachers, trainers, tutors,
counsellors, headmasters and other staff working
at Primary and Secondary Education and at VET
centres, Universities as well as to policy makers
and relevant stakeholders in the education field.
How IT-CLEX will help youngsters at risk of dropping-out
Academic failure can only be prevented and
solved if all the actors and bodies related to
children, young people and students cooperate
on a regular basis. The creation of local cluster
of education and non-educational actors at a
European level will provide an efficient and
holistic approach to work with students at risk
of dropping out.
This local cluster is created based on a
successful model developed in Norway, and
which is currently being extended to the halfsouth of the Norwegian country
How IT-CLEX will help youngsters at risk of dropping-out
“You cannot look at a stone from all sides at the same
time. It is only by telling each other what we see that we
can get a complete picture of the whole rock”.
Indian proverb
IT-CLEX main activities and outputs:
 Documental and best practice search
 Analysis of best practices according to their
