“Yoga with Najah”
Gentle Hatha Yoga Classes, suitable for everyone. No previous
experience is needed for these relaxing classes.
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm at Molesey Centre
for the Community (Mole Hall), 2 Bishop Fox Way,
West Molesey, KT8 2AS. Drop in classes £10 or
enrol for 8 classes (£64 – paid in advance).
Fridays 6-7 pm at Xcel Leisure Complex,
Waterside Drive, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2JG.
Chair based Yoga Class / GP referrals, suitable for newcomers
with health issues or those with aches and pains - £5 per session.

Healthy Walks and Cycle Rides
We love our walks and rides and we hope you will too. We’ve been
organising them for over 11 years and they are great for meeting new
friends, filling your lungs with fresh air and discovering new places in
your local area.
With Walking for Health, you can take part in a free walk nearby to help
you get and stay active at a pace that works for you.
Short walks: 15 and 30 minutes
Walking for fifteen minutes or half an hour may be longer than you’ve
walked for a while but we’ll be there to help you. Plus there’s no rush.
Walk at a pace that’s right for you and take time to soak up the beauty
of Elmbridge. Doesn’t that sound achievable?
Walking for Health walks are free, between 15 and 90 minutes long
and less than 3 miles in length. Walks with this symbol are
accredited and approved by the national Walking for Health
programme.
Volunteers: If you enjoy going on slow walks, 30-90 minutes long,
and want to help improve other people’s lives in your area, you sound
like you’d make a perfect Walking for Health walk leader. We’ll give
you all the training and support you need to help you be top notch.
Did you know that many of our walks are on bus routes? Bus timetables are available from libraries or post offices.
If you are a new walker or cyclist, please arrive at least 15 minutes
before the start to allow time to complete the outdoor health
questionnaire. Walks and rides leave promptly at the published
time. Please don’t hold the group up.

Walks/rides are classified by pace, gradient and length of time
they take. Make sure you fully enjoy your walk/ride by
choosing carefully. We often stop for coffee afterwards, to chat and
get to know each other better.
If you prefer longer, faster walks, or walks out of the Borough, you
may enjoy walking with Ramblers, Go50 or Surrey Walks Club.
Very
slow
If you are not a confident walker or returning to
walking. Normally between 15 and 30 minutes,
always on easy terrain, at a pace to suit you.
Slow
For those capable of walking continuously at 2mph.
Moderate For regular, reasonably fit walkers who can maintain
a steady pace of 2.25-2.5 mph for the
duration of the walk.
Brisk
For those able to walk 3mph for the walk duration.
Nordic
Bring poles or walk without poles. Warm up pre-walk
and cool down post-walk included. All welcome.
Cycle Rides, at a pace to suit. 4 miles to 20 miles.
Choose according to your skill and fitness.
