He was a family man, working man, businessman, inventor, tradesman, manager, entrepreneur and genius. In other words, he was a farmer. For more than 50 years, we’ve shown that same commitment in the hay and forage business, too. Since 1955, Hesston has been the undisputed leader, with innovations like the first self-propelled windrower, the first hydrostatic windrower and the first big rectangular baler. Today, more than ever, we’re determined to prove that the heart of the original Massey Ferguson and Hesston brands still beats under the shiny new exteriors of every model we make. 1847 1955 Daniel Massey establishes what will become Massey Ferguson – the same year Thomas Edison, Joseph Pulitzer and Jesse James were born. 1926 Harry Ferguson patents the 3-point hitch and changes tractor design forever. Hesston introduces its Model 100– the first commercially available self-propelled windrower. 1967 Hesston introduces the Hydro-Static 600 – the first hydrostatic drive windrower. “Beauty in engineering is that which is simple, has no superfluous parts and which answers exactly its purpose.” 1947 –Harry Ferguson Now part of the Massey Ferguson family, the Hesston Manufacturing Company is founded. 1974 Hesston by Massey Ferguson introduces the 16-foot RazorBar™ cutter, featuring the lowest profile in the industry for a closer, faster, cleaner cut. 2009 The inaugural Hesston belt buckle is issued – the first of the famous series still coveted by collectors today. 1978 Hesston introduces the first large square baler. Massey Ferguson leads the way in clean air technology with its visionary e3™ SCR system. 2008 2011 Our new WR Series introduces electronically controlled hydraulics, operated by a virtual computer terminal, allowing precision control of windrower functions and the incorporation of features unheard of in previous windrowers. Farmers. It’s no exaggeration to say the WR Series is the most important advance in Hesston technology in 30 years, featuring more than a dozen proprietary features developed in response to direct input from working hay producers. For instance, we’ve become the first in the industry to operate all hydraulic, engine and drive functions by means of an onboard virtual computer terminal, utilizing hydraulic technology that provides a level of precision previously unheard of – while actually making the controls easier to use. Hesston Exclusive FPO New to QRC scanning? See page 30 for directions. The all new WR Series. Yet another benchmark from the company that introduced the first SP windrower back in 1955. And nothing less than a new standard that will redefine windrowing for years to come. WR9735 AGCO POWER 4.9L WR9725 Cummins 3.3L ™ 188 Disc Draper Auger Our new 4-cylinder windrower, this model is designed to perform just as well as, if not better than, most 6-cylinder windrowers. By increasing boost pressure, our new 4.9-liter QuadBoost engine generates more than enough power to run a 9196 model 16-foot disc header, equipped with an advanced conditioning system. 137 Draper Auger Built for the producer who wants to operate an auger or draper header, this model features the same 4.9-liter AGCO POWER engine, but without QuadBoost technology. It still provides more than enough horsepower to operate those headers, even in adverse conditions. 137 Draper Auger This narrow cab swather model is primarily designed for wheat and canola, and for use with draper and auger headers only several months of the year. It comes with the same frame, engine and components as the WR9740. 100 Draper Auger Another narrow cab model, designed for wheat and canola, this is our smallest swather and is only available with the smaller cab. It’s equipped with a Cummins Tier 4i 100 HP engine that’s highly efficient to operate. See complete specs on page 32. Introduction AGCO POWER 4.9L This top-end model competes in a new class of 200+ HP windrowers, with the muscle to operate in heavy crop conditions like winter forage, wet silage hay, and hilly or rough terrain. Our new 6.6-liter AGCO POWER Tier 4i engine uses four valves per cylinder to enhance airflow and increase horsepower for high-capacity mowing operations. Hesstonology. Other manufacturers pride themselves on their technology. Brand after brand, year after year, they follow each other, struggling to play catch-up, with some “innovative” new feature. But the Hesston name has always been recognized as a leader, not a follower. And we have a philosophy about innovation that’s all our own. In short, if it doesn’t go beyond enhancing your speed, your comfort and your efficiency – to actually improving the quality of your hay – it isn’t innovation at all. It’s just embellishment. That’s why every technological advancement we’re now introducing with our WR Series windrowers is designed to do one thing – assure you of reaping Hesston Hay. The highest quality, highest nutrient, highest value hay possible. Another first in SP windrowers, from the brand that invented the category. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – our all new WR Series SP windrowers are absolutely the first in the industry to operate all hydraulic, engine and drive functions by means of an onboard virtual computer terminal. Utilizing the most recent advances in electro-hydraulic technology, we’re now providing you with computer controls that provide a higher level of precision than has ever been available on a windrower. A multi-tasking monitor that’s years ahead. Consider our extraordinary new FieldMax monitor. It enables you to maximize your productivity in every way, on every acre of every field – every day. Virtually all functions of the Windrower are controlled from right here, offering you immediate access to features like a fuel economy monitor, performance monitor, header flotation settings – even diagnostics and troubleshooting. The four main screens include a main work screen/dashboard, engine information screen, fuel economy meter and acre counter. We’ve made sure each one is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to navigate while you operate the windrower. The main dashboard is icon-based for no-nonsense readability. And a simple, yet comprehensive icon guide is attached to the console for easy reference. A wealth of useful information is displayed here, including: Miles per hour n Header and engine RPMs n Fuel levels n Diesel exhaust fluid n n n n n Coolant temperature n AG Cam compatible Left/right flotation Header tilt, header height Engine oil pressure Header drive motor pressure (Acts as a pacer for optimum speed) PAGE 9 Technology Innovative software that works harder, so you don’t have to. Obviously, as goes the header, so goes productivity. And thanks to our windrower software improvements and electronic displacement pump controls, the response time of the automatic header speed control has been reduced, making you more productive than ever. It actually operates and adjusts the header speed independently of the engine speed. The benefits are obvious: Head speed remains constant when engine speed decreases n Consistent cut and conditioning n Solid performance even on hills and when mowing thicker patches of crop n Mow all day – or even two – without refueling. Another great feature of the WR Series is the convenience of having the highest capacity fuel tank in the business – 130 gallons. No other windrower holds more. Couple that with our e3 fuel-saving technology, and you can go for up to two full days in alfalfa. Lightweight and portable, System 150 can even be moved from vehicle to vehicle. And you can transfer field information using a standard USB thumb drive. n n n n Straight line driving Reduced operator fatigue Center pivot circles Contours Real time fuel data for real fuel efficiencies. GPS isn’t the only tactic to increase your fuel efficiency. Another great way is by measuring fuel usage against the amount of work done – not just against the time you’ve spent doing it. And the FieldMax monitor digital fuel economy meter on these WR Series windrowers does just that. By monitoring acres per gallon and your operating speed, you can make adjustments to maximize your fuel use. For example, in certain situations, a field speed of 16 mph might not be as fuel efficient as 12.5 mph. When fuel prices are high, you can drive to maximize fuel economy. When fuel prices are low, you can drive to maximize productivity. Technology For example, the automatic header speed control allows the header to communicate directly with the windrower header drive pumps and the engine rpm. Other systems like the V-Cool System are controlled by the same software for optimum efficiency. Automatic header speed control. Hesston Exclusive PAGE 11 The software incorporated in our WR Series design is the latest, greatest technology available to take care of a multitude of windrower functions that you’d otherwise have to handle yourself, such as automatic header speed, cooling system, steering system and System 150™. Automatic precision. Automatic productivity. Just Plug & Play – because all WR Series windrowers are pre-wired to accept System 150 AutoSteering. And System 150 communicates directly with our electro-hydraulic steering, so it eliminates the need for additional steering hardware. The response time is drastically reduced for a much higher degree of steering accuracy. Once you’ve got the WR Series in the field, you’ll find everything about it is designed to make every pass more profitable. But the proven performance of our System 150 positioning technology is a key factor in maximizing your return on investment. Whether your goal is to reduce skips and overlaps or to work at faster speeds, you can achieve it, thanks to the most sophisticated positioning system available. More specifically, System 150 technology allows you to use the full width of your header, which means greater efficiency and fuel economy. Its hands-free steering reduces operator fatigue and enhances your comfort. You’ll also be working at faster speeds, so you’ll cover more acres per hour. And pass-to-pass accuracy can be maximized from +/- ten inches down to +/- a single inch, depending on the correction signals you choose. Easy to operate – when System 150 is “on,” the GPS signal replaces the signal from the steering wheel. If the steering wheel is moved by hand, the windrower automatically goes back to manual steering**. The world’s most advanced hands-free* steering. Hands down. Stable 21 mph road transport. It only makes sense that the next generation of windrower would make the most of the next generation of hands-free steering technology. And the WR Series does – with System 150 Precision AutoSteering. Thanks to the increased precision and accuracy of our electro-hydraulic steering and Electronic Displacement Control, our 21 mph travel speed offers better control, quicker response and more stability. Optional on the 4.9 liter models. Field speeds of up to 16 mph – with extreme accuracy, especially for a windrower. The aggressive line acquisition and on-line performance of System 150 is second to none. And easy-to-use features like boundary and area cut mapping allow you more control over everything from planning your swath patterns to identifying areas of overlap. *Please refer to the operator’s manual for proper operation of System 150 Precision AutoSteering System with the WR Series Windrowers. **Operators can easily engage the System 150 AutoSteering by pressing a button on the back of the FNR handle. Adjustable steering that’s as easy as one, two, three. Because our all new WR Series Windrowers utilize electro-hydraulic steering through our Electronic Displacement Control (EDC), you’ll enjoy more precision and quicker response time. Not to mention your new windrower will be easier to drive, with more control, at faster operating speeds. But that’s not all, because these machines even allow you to adjust the steering to your personal preference. It’s tunable at three levels in terms of: Steering resistance (friction) n Steering sensitivity (steering wheel movement) n Multi-position steering column n PAGE 13 –Farmer / Nebraska 2,000 acres in hay Technology “I don’t want to adjust to my windrower steering. I want it to adjust to me” Cooling fan technology that’ll blow you away. Our high-performance cooling fan, part of our new V-Cool System, goes far beyond ordinary rotary vacuum screen cleaners. Because it’s hydraulically driven, it can run at variable speeds, allowing it to match the cooling needs of the engine. Again, because it’s hydraulic, it can auto-reverse to clean out the radiators and fan screen. And that’s just what it does at 15-minute intervals. The fan reverses upon header shutdown. The reverse fan also senses the cooling performance and adjusts the fan speed or increases the reversing cycle. When you tally up all the advantages, you’ll be a fan of this fan too: Fan speed is independent of engine speed n Adjusts to conditions n Saves fuel by operating at lower rpm when extra cooling isn’t needed n Reduces risk of water pump failure due to less load on the pump bearings n AGCO POWER engines that clearly live up to their name. n Our six-cylinder AGCO POWERhouse. You might say reliability is built into our 6.6-liter engine’s DNA – along with durability, strength, longevity and outstanding fuel economy. Manufactured at our own SISU diesel plant in Nokia, Finland, these engines are backed by over 65 years of innovation and proven performance. A four-cylinder engine that thinks it’s a six. No one else in the industry offers anything like our 4.9-liter QuadBoost engine. Because this 4-cylinder power plant features higher power density, it generates significantly more horsepower, not to mention excellent torque and fuel savings. And you thought only a 6-cylinder engine could perform this well. Higher power density simply means our new QuadBoost engine provides more power from the same engine volume. Features common to all. Four valves per cylinder – provide a better fuel/air mixture, optimum combustion and a reduction in thermal loads. Cross flow cylinder heads Mid-cylinder liner support n Turbo-charged n Air to air intercooled n Common rail fuel injection n Fracture split connecting rods n Balanced rotating assembly Common rail fuel injection – delivers improved fuel application with precision metering. New full-authority Electronic Engine Management. Balanced rotating assembly – a feature normally found only in highperformance racing engines, this ensures smooth running dependability. When it comes to complying with EPA Tier 4i standards, we’ve been way ahead of our competitors in proving that SCR emission technology is the only way to go. In tandem with the EEM4 system, our updated e3 clean air technology means these AGCO POWER diesel engines will run better, stay cooler and last longer. Read on. We’d love to bring you up to speed. n n Working in perfect unison with the electronic fuel injection system to provide quick and precise response to throttle movement, our EEM4 system continually adjusts fuel injection in relation to engine speed and load to maximize power. “If you haven’t got an engine you can count on for the power, the reliability and the fuel efficiency you need, the rest doesn’t matter.” –Farmer / California 5,000 acres in alfalfa Engines 6.6 liter / 220 HP 4.9 liter / 188 HP QuadBoost n 4.9 liter / 137 HP n The best way yet to deal with Tier 4i. Hesston Exclusive PAGE 15 After all, isn’t POWER what engines are all about? Their sole purpose is to deliver the POWER to do what you need – hour after hour, day after day, year after year. Rest assured, the AGCO POWER engines in our new WR Series windrowers do more than deliver the goods. Compliance without compromise. Compliance without compromise. Start to finish, e3 is designed to help you meet upcoming emission standards without sacrificing your own. It provides you with all the energy you need in the form of undiminished horsepower and torque. And it’s a fact that SCR systems get up to 10% better fuel economy than engines using other emission technology. As simple as it is effective. The key to e3 technology is that it stays out of the way of what the engine is built to do – provide power. Because e3 is a post-combustion, after-treatment process that takes place in the exhaust system, it never interferes with the engine itself. And there’s no need for a larger radiator. Believe it or not, the e3 process actually allows our AGCO POWER diesel engines to perform better, run more efficiently, stay cooler and last longer. Cleaner air. Pure performance. e3 technology treats the downstream exhaust with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), which breaks down into harmless nitrogen and water. The technology is simple, robust and reliable, consisting of very few parts. Main components include a tank, an injection system and an SCR catalyst chamber. Our AGCO POWER diesel engines are optimized for high performance, low particulate emissions and low fuel consumption. Tank that holds Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) PAGE 17 The pump and injection system unit reacts to the emissions output of the engine by continuously varying the amount of DEF added to the exhaust stream – effectively maintaining control of emissions released into the environment. e3 In the catalyst chamber, nitrogen oxides (NOx) are transformed into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor. Hardworking cab improvements to make your life easier. Everything about our new cab is designed to give hay producers all the features they’ve told us they want and need. To increase efficiency and reduce fatigue, we’ve redesigned these cabs top to bottom – and in the process, we’ve delivered a substantially better ride. Upgrades include: Optional semi-active air suspension seat n A more convenient, intuitive side console n Better lighting n Optional automatic climate control n A brand new steering column, with a greater range of steering wheel positions and adjustments n Oh, and there’s one more feature professional producers asked us to address that came through loud and clear. A cab so quiet you can hear jaws dropping. Seriously. The reduction in operating noise on the WR Series is so significant it’s stunning. Thanks to our quieterrunning e3 Tier IVi engines, quieter hydraulics, extra sound-deadening material and a thicker floor mat, it’s almost like working in an office environment. Only with a much better view. A seat so responsive it anticipates every move. Our optional deluxe semi-active air suspension seat takes sensor readings more than 60 times per second. Then it reacts to field conditions and adjusts the seat suspension instantaneously, improving the ride and reducing bounce. Since the jarring forces during windrowing are predominantly horizontal, our seat also moves laterally, fore and aft and side-to-side, to help reduce operator fatigue. It also actually keeps you cooler in the summer and warms you up in the fall. And because most hay farmers tell us they’d windrow as fast as they could – as long as they can stay sitting down, we’ve made sure our new seat helps them do exactly that. In fact, we’ve had it specially customized so now the seat cushions conform along with leather side cushions even more precisely to the operator, almost like a seat in a sports car – just to help you stay put. Bottom line, this industry-exclusive seat is specifically built to enhance your comfort, health and productivity – not to mention your speed. Enhanced cab suspension. On the WR9770 and WR9760, we offer an optional cab suspension system that incorporates dual air bags, an air reservoir and dual shock absorbers – especially comforting features when harvesting rough fields with the highspeed 9195 or 9196 RazorBar disc header. With pressure settings from 15 to 35 psi, the suspension is similar to that of a tractor cab – a real plus when you’re operating on pivots, borders or conditions involving dips, ruts or ditches. GlideRider adjustment-free rear axle suspension. This durable, maintenance-free system is composed of a solid oscillating rear axle beam attached to the frame by parallel maintenance free link arms on both sides and a lateral support arm underneath. Providing the suspension are two gas shocks and a spring in the center of the axle. This completely new approach means GlideRider transfers load to the main frame, so bounce is reduced and your comfort level is increased – even at higher field speeds. PAGE 19 Ride & Comfort Climb every mountain. Or at least every hill. Let’s be honest. Hydraulically driven equipment like windrowers, combines and sprayers aren’t exactly known for their pulling power. Especially when it comes to climbing hills or working in muddy conditions. So we’ve significantly boosted the pump flow to give the WR Series unmatched hill-climbing ability, with more torque in the field and increased transport speed. Three selectable ranges provide the hydraulic power you need, at the rate you want to run. Range 1: 0 to 13 mph (operator adjustable) n Range 2: (Field) 0 to 16 mph n Range 3: (Transport) 0 to 21 mph n “It’s no secret farming has its ups and downs. You just have to know how to make the most of them.” –Hay producer / Idaho 1,500 acres in hay Independent header flotation. Another WR Series innovation that’s having a major impact on productivity is our independent header flotation. By adjusting each lift arm independently, you can increase the lift pressure on one side only, making it easier to cut over irrigation borders and center pivot irrigation tracks as well as allowing for a closer cut without gouging into the ground. You can also balance the header from side to side without making mechanical adjustments. And a return-to-level cut feature allows you to go back to your previous settings. The header can rotate on an angle because of the modular design of the cutter bed. Eliminates the need for balance weights n On-the-go adjustment n Decreases overall machine weight n Reduces ground compaction n No need to raise the header to adjust flotation PAGE 21 Header Lift & Tilt n We call it TwinMax but it’s really one-of-a-kind. Is your header working as hard as you are? Unless you’re running our Hesston by Massey Ferguson TwinMax Advanced Conditioning System, probably not. TwinMax double crimps the stems, reducing drying time by up to days, while allowing the leaves to stay healthy and whole, retaining their vital nutrients. The result is Hesston Hay – a higher quality crop that earns you a higher price on every bale. Crimp vs. crush. Competitive windrowers still feature systems that condition your crop by crushing both the stems and the leaves to accelerate drying time. But damaging the leaves means lost nutrients, lesser quality hay and lower market value. Hesston Exclusive The only thing we crush is the competition. Instead of using a single set of conditioning rollers with no gap between them, TwinMax uses two sets of steel-on-steel conditioning rolls, finely tuned to maintain a roll gap for varying crop conditions. The gap is sustained by hydraulic roll tension that provides constant roll pressure and easy adjustment. The crop feeds into the first set of rollers, where stems are crimped every two to three inches while leaves pass through unharmed. It then passes through the second set, where the stems are crimped again every one to two inches. The herringbone pattern on the rolls creates a broad, well-formed, level windrow that dries faster, more evenly, and rakes together more easily for better baling. “Premium hay is the difference between making money and not making money. That’s the bottom line.” –Hay producer / Western Canada 8,000 acres in hay PAGE 23 Advanced Conditioning Disc headers designed to make hay pay. If you’re determined to increase your acres per hour while achieving a closer, cleaner cut, there’s no faster way to do it than by driving a 9195 or 9196 Hesston by Massey Ferguson disc header, with our industry-exclusive low-profile RazorBar cutterbar. The modular, heavy-duty spur gear design of the RazorBar means each gear assembly and idler gear can be individually removed without taking the whole cutterbar apart. And there’s no need to split the gear modules for servicing. Easy to unbolt and reassemble, the idler gears and pins are removed through the top of the module, so there’s also no need to remove the rock guards for servicing. And each module is now sealed with O-rings instead of silicone. In the unlikely event a gear spindle breaks, it will be sheared off outside the cutterbed to prevent contamination of other gears. If a shaft is sheared, the complete hub assembly can be quickly replaced. And because the RazorBar gears are designed to handle a higher load than competitors’, a weak point or shear hub is simply unnecessary. Our 13-foot and 16-foot RazorBar cutterbars feature a low-profile, spur gear cutterbed that’s thinner in design for closer cutting – so you can slice through lush alfalfa, tangled grass and tall Sudan with ease. Other features include: Counter-rotating discs with increased overlap n n n n Sloping disc hub mounts for reduced debris buildup Ductile cast-iron module housings, machined for perfect alignment and maximum durability Infinitely variable disc speed, from 1,000 to 2,500 rpm to match crop conditions Standard or Advanced Conditioning With a single set of steel-on-steel conditioner rolls, the 9195 RazorBar header crimps stems every two to three inches. To speed drying time and further preserve leaf quality, our 9196 model features the new TwinMax Advanced Conditioning System, which “double crimps” the crop through a total of four conditioning rolls, resulting in a crimp approximately every inch. The herringbone pattern on each model helps feed the crop evenly on both sides. And conditioner roll pressure is maintained by a hydraulic roll tensioning system, allowing for consistent roll pressure, effective crimping and the best quality hay possible. Our improved, extended turbulence reduction roll features built-in side augers to produce better windrows with fewer drives and a better cut in light crop. Dual hydraulic motors, which drive the cutterbed from each end, provide even torque load across the entire width of the cutterbar for increased reliability. Disc Header Radura® high-carbon steel knives in a choice of degrees and bevels PAGE 25 n The top of the heap in sickle bar headers. Available in 14-, 16- and 18-foot widths, the 9126 from Hesston by Massey Ferguson features our trademark dual augers, along with a double sickle and a single pair of rubber-on-steel or steel-on-steel conditioner rolls. Available in 14- and 16-foot cutting widths, the 9146 model boasts our exclusive TwinMax Advanced Conditioning System. All models feature hydraulic drive, hydraulic header flotation and hydraulic roll tension for easy adjustment and time-tested reliability. n Dual, counter-rotating augers – provide two separate “live” feeding elements, to ensure even feeding across the full width of the conditioner rolls. A half-swaybar dual sickle drive system uses a counter-balanced flywheel to reduce peak starting, stopping and cutting loads. The system also reduces vibration and side-to-side movement while driving the sickle at 1,840 strokes per minute. n n A standard header reverser on both of these models allows the operator to back large objects or slugs out of the header without leaving the seat. Tine tubes are segmented between bulkhead spiders for quicker and easier tine replacement. Reel tine tubes also rotate on sealed ball bearings for longer life and less downtime. n Unlike the competition, we use a dual auger system that includes one floating auger – a sure fire method to convey both light and heavy crops more gently and smoothly, consistently laying them in uniform windrows with little or no adjustment. n Sickle sections are bolted to the sickle bar, rather than riveted, for quicker, easier field replacement. n Our hydraulic roll tensioning system maintains consistent conditioner roll pressure for effective crimping and the highest quality hay. “It’s all about the header. And when you’re running a Hesston header, you know you’re running the best. – Farmer / Idaho 2,000 acres in alfalfa Unlike traditional conditioners, the TwinMax System on our 9146 auger header features two pairs of independently controlled, steel-on-steel conditioner rolls for quicker drying, higher nutrient retention and simply better hay in every bale. PAGE 27 Sickle Headers Draper headers built to cut a more impressive swath. A rubber-coated draper belt drive roller provides positive traction, less slippage, better belt tracking and less need for increased belt tension – which means the draper head not only performs better in heavy or wet crop conditions, it also lasts longer. Heavy-duty, nylon-reinforced belts are driven by a hydraulic motor and are adjustable from the cab to any speed from 0 to 600 feet (0 - 183 m) per minute. Turn any WR Series model into a high-capacity swather by simply adding a Hesston 5200 Series draper header. Choose from five center-delivery header widths or three double swath models. These shiftable draper heads let you position the swath at the center or to the left and right side of the header for double swaths. A great fit with our all new WR Series WR9735 and WR9725 swathers. Our sickle drive planetary gear system. Because our sickle drive is a hydraulically driven planetary gear system, it stays in rotation at all times, so there are no peak starting and stopping loads. That means no matter how close you’re cutting, the 5200 Series delivers smooth, clean performance in cereals, grass, forage or specialty crops. With fewer shafts, belts and sheaves, it also demands far less maintenance. 5200 Series updates: Optional Schumacher sickle system n Electric reel fore/aft (standard) n Rubber-coated drive roller n Heavier reel mount motor n New sickle drive motor with heavier seals n The hydraulic reel drive is infinitely variable from 0 to 60 rpm to precisely match reel speed to ground speed and crop conditions. Our optional SCH sickle system. In previous systems, the knife in the cutterbar of the sickle was supported by a wear plate. But today’s wider platforms and the demand for better cutting performance have led to excessive wear on the knifeback and the wear blades. Now, we’ve solved that problem, by utilizing the new SCH Roller Guide. It requires less power, reduces friction on the knifehead and enhances overall cutting performance. “At the end of the day, it just comes down to this – I need quality hay.” – Farmer / Colorado 3500 acres in hay PAGE 29 Draper Headers State-of-the-art serviceability. Radial tires. The efficient performance of the new WR Series doesn’t stop at downtime. We’ve made servicing your windrower faster and easier than ever. Most service points are conveniently accessible from ground level. n Service diagnostics are readily provided by the FieldMax monitor. n n Individual side shields offer easy access, n Better component access includes a as does the end cap for the radiator lower frame rail. compartment. n Electric and hydraulic components are located on the right side, so there’s no need to crawl beneath the windrower. Self-cleaning, maintenance-free cooling. How cool is that? Airflow for our new V-Cool System on the WR Series is provided by a temperature-activated, variable speed hydraulic fan. Operating automatically through the windrower software, this system is so advanced, it actually cleans itself – reducing service time, optimizing efficiency and saving on fuel. For improved traction, increased flotation and simply a better ride, we offer two radial tire options on the WR Series: 23.1 x R26 This turf tire is for use on pivots, borders or other flat field conditions. The turf pattern makes a less aggressive footprint and helps reduce ground compaction. It’s also gentler on the crop, especially on short headland turns. 620/75R26 For hilly or rougher terrain, this ag tread tire combines a deep lug pattern with radial tire flexibility to make it a great solution when additional traction is required while still maintaining a smooth tractor ride. “When it’s time to cut, it’s time to cut. You’ve got to stay up and running. So you’d better have a machine that works with you, not against you, when it comes to maintenance.” – Farmer / Saskatchewan 1500 acres in canola Download a QR code scanner to your Smartphone Open the application on your Smartphone Point your phone’s camera at the code and scan n The code will take you to one of our windrower videos n n Questions?
