Web searches offer clues
Man, 48, on
trial in death
of his wife

WATERBURY — “Carpet
cleaning.”
“Cleaning stains.”
“Dumpster rentals in Connecticut.”
Those were a few of the
Google search terms that
were recovered from a computer found in a business
owned by 48-year-old Patrick
Cannon, who is now on trial
for murdering his wife Cynthia.
Performed in the months
leading up to her homicide in
May 2010, the web inquiries
may be key to the case
against Cannon, as police
found blood stains on the car-

Cannon was charged with murdering his 35-year-old wife Cynthia. Her body was found in
Cheshire in May 2010, but a sleeping bag with her blood on it and a length of blood-soaked
nylon rope was found in Waterbury days before her body was discovered. Cannon’s murder
trial entered its fourth day on Friday.
