Both teams will be on the same side of the field, spectators will be on the opposite side. 5. All USA teams are required to present player picture identification cards that are issued by their governing body at registration and at all matches. All international teams are required to present passports at registration. Tournament player picture identification cards will be made for all international players and must be presented at all matches. Identification cards will be checked by the referee prior to each match. The player’s shirt number must be the same as the shirt number on the daily match report. If the numbers are not the same, the referee is instructed not to let the player take part in the match until tournament officials resolve the matter. 6. All matches will be full length. Matches will be counted as: Win -3 points; Tie - 1 point; Loss - 0 points. In the elimination stage, if the score is tied at the end of regulation time, extra time of two ten (10) minute periods will be played in all age groups. If a winner is not decided after this extra time, kicks from the penalty mark as per FIFA laws will decide the match. 8. a. The teams that win the Three (3) Quarter Final Games will advance to the Semi Final games. The 4th team in the Semi-Finals will be the Winner of the Young Champions Tournament. c. Note: In the pre-determined pairings for the first game of the elimination stage, adjustments will be made if the wild card team comes out of the same preliminary round bracket, to avoid teams that have already played each other having to play each other again. No adjustments will be made after that. 9. In the event a tie breaker is necessary to determine which teams will advance beyond the round robin, the following order of tie breakers will apply: For All Age Groups: (1) goal difference in overall competition; (2) highest gross goals scored in overall competition; (3) head to head competition; (4) least amount of penalty points (caution = 1 point, sendoff = 2 points); (5) Tournament Manager's decision. 10. Substitution will be allowed during natural stoppage of the match at the referee's discretion. For the Super Group, U19, U17, U16 and U15, each team may nominate up to a maximum of seven (7) substitutes; however, the team may only use a maximum number of six (6) substitutions during a match. The substitution is completed when the substitute enters the field of play and the player whom he is replacing ceases to be a player. Free substitution is not permitted. Once a player leaves the match and is substituted, he cannot return to play further in the match. For U14 and U13, free substitution up to seven players and re-entry will be allowed. 11. The official match report for each completed match must be verified (i.e., score, cautions, send offs) immediately after the game by the team coach or manager. Match reports that are not verified stand as submitted and may not be contested or appealed. 12. Players or Coaches sent off during a match are not allowed to play/coach in the next match. A player receiving two cautions during the preliminary round robin of the tournament is not allowed to play in the next match, including the first game of the elimination stage. A player receiving two cautions during the elimination stage of the competition is not allowed to play in the next match. Cautions received during the preliminary rounds of the tournament do not carry over to the elimination rounds. In case of continued bad conduct of players, teams, officials, or supporters, the team may be withdrawn from the competition and reported to their association. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their team and supporters. 13. Any player or coach sent off during the tournament or any player receiving multiple cautions during the tournament may be required to attend a Disciplinary Committee hearing. Players must be accompanied by their coach and/or manager. Official Match Reports will be reviewed by the Disciplinary Committee, and they will determine if a hearing is necessary. Any hearing could result in the player or coach being required to sit out additional matches or being withdrawn from the competition. Team officials will be notified as soon as possible if a hearing has been scheduled. 14. Judgment calls by referees may not be appealed. 15. Disciplinary Committee decisions may not be appealed. 16. All protests must be submitted in English to the Disciplinary Committee within three hours of the end of the match with a $500 (US) cash non-refundable fee. Only protests that concern the Laws of the Game and ineligible players will be considered. All decisions will be in the best interest of soccer and may not be appealed. 17. Subject to the foregoing, FIFA laws, as modified by USSF, USYSA and NTSSA rules, apply. Please note that per FIFA Laws of the Game number 4, the wearing of shin guards by players is mandatory. No player will be allowed to play without shin guards. 18. In the event of inclement weather, bracket games that have completed the first half will be considered complete games and will not be rescheduled. For Quarter-final, Semi-final and Final games, play will be resumed from the point of suspension if weather and field conditions permit (this may be the following day). The final decision will be made by the Competition Committee, in conjunction with the Board of Directors. 19. In the event that the tournament is cancelled because of rain or inclement weather with no games played, up to 50% of the entry fee may be retained by the tournament, as determined by the Board of Directors. 20. Currently, his duties are the Executive Director of Dr Pepper Dallas Cup and serves as a FIFA Match Commissioner in CONCACAF region. Swift began his professional career in broadcasting in 1989 at KFWD, Dallas’ fledgling Telemundo affiliate, where he advanced from news editor to producer in under two years. In the early 1990’s, he launched his own television production company specializing in the Hispanic and corporate markets. As a television producer, Swift was the recipient of a Telly and a FREDDIE, among other industry awards. During this time, Swift also served as the Dallas Cup’s media liaison for seven years, and was on ABC/ESPN’s production crew for its coverage of the 1994 World Cup. In 1996, Swift joined the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas), one of the charter franchises in Major League Soccer, as the team’s Director of Community Relations and Hispanic Media. One year later, Swift was named the Burn’s Director of Hispanic Marketing, where he started and developed Major League Soccer’s first Hispanic marketing department. Subsequently, in 1998 and 1999, as Vice President of Marketing and Broadcasting, Swift negotiated broadcast agreements for television and radio, which saw the Burn become the first professional sports team in Dallas to have regular-season games broadcast on both mediums in both English and Spanish. During this time’s Hispanic marketing initiatives were also nationally recognized within the sports industry. In 2000, Swift was named the Burn’s President and General Manager, a position he held until 2003. During his first three seasons as the Burn’s GM, Swift guided the team to consecutive overall attendance and team revenue increases each year. In 2002, the Burn surpassed team records for both season tickets as well as sponsorship sales for the second consecutive year. On the field, the Burn maintained its reputation as one of the most competitive teams in the league, qualifying for the playoffs during each of its first seven seasons. In 2004, Swift was named Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Major League soccer and Soccer United Marketing. A Subsequently, in 2005, Swift launched his Dallas-based business, which continues to offer his clients expert consulting in marketing to Hispanics. Swift, who was raised in five different Latin American countries, is a graduate of Texas Christian University, He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Seven players, picked from all USbased teams that are competing in the U16 Dallas Cup age group, will be chosen to represent the United States in the international 5v5 tournament. Dr Pepper Dallas Cup Announces Addition of Under 17 Super Group For the second year, Dr Pepper Dallas Cup will feature Super 17s for the 2015 tournament. Composed of six international and six domestic teams, the Super 17s bracket will provide the U-17 age group a standout division similar to the U-19’s esteemed Gordon Jago Super Group. “The quality of teams that applied for the U-17 age group this year was once again tremendous,” said Dr Pepper Dallas Cup Executive Director, Andy Swift. “Due to the number of exceptional teams, we were able to create a twelve-team Super Group while not diminishing the regular U-17 bracket, which will still consist of 28 highly regarded domestic and international teams.” The creation of the Super 17s allows the tournament to accept 25% more teams to the U-17 age group than in previous years, an important aspect to the numerous scouts and college coaches that attend the annual event. The twelve teams that will participate in the Super 17s hails from three countries and six states. Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVI will run from March 29th through April 5th, 2015, with the Super 17s final being played on April 5th at Toyota Stadium Frisco. 2015 Dr Pepper Dallas Cup Super 17s Participants Club Name LFC Foundation College CF Monterrey Rayados SPORTING Blue Valley FBSL - Real Tuzos Almaden FC TwinStars Academy Arsenal FC Maebashi Ikuei High School FC Club Santos Laguna Jaguares de Chiapas Ohio Premier - OP Green Gallos Blancos Queretaro FC Solar Chelsea SC Country England Mexico USA USA USA USA Japan Mexico Mexico USA Mexico USA Competing Teams in Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVI GORDON JAGO SUPER GROUP Everton F.
