SJSM Church Camp: 16 – 19/20 June 2014 A. Via Car (self-drive) a. On Day of Departure to Bukit Gambang Resort (Mon 16 June) 1. General Notes Ensure that you have all your valid travel documents with you. Journey from Johor Bahru to Bukit Gambang Resort (BGR) is approximately 350km via the North-South Highway and Yong Peng / Segamat / Muadzam Shah / BGR trunk-road. The entire road journey including lunch and toilet breaks should take approximately 6 hours. Leave early. Drive safely. Overtake with care. Keep within the speed limit. Drivers should take frequent breaks along the journey. Plan to be at Bukit Gambang Resort by 4.00pm on Mon 16 June. Phase 1: Proceed to Causeway or Tuas 2nd Link to clear Singapore CIQ and Malaysia CIQ. via Causeway (Woodlands): Sultan Iskandar CIQ, or via 2nd Link (Tuas): Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ 3. Phase 2: Journey to Yong Peng (100km) After clearing Sultan Iskandar CIQ (via Causeway) or Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ (via 2nd Link), head towards North-South Highway (E2). Travel on North-South Highway in the direction of KL for approximately 100km before exiting @ Exit 242 (Yong Peng Selatan) After toll plaza, turn LEFT onto Jalan Besar and head towards Yong Peng town center. Recommended to break for lunch at Yong Peng. Phase 3: Yong Peng to Segamat (75 km) From Yong Peng, travel NORTH towards Segamat via Jalan Labis. Phase 4: Segamat to Muadzam Shah (80km) After leaving Segamat, o lookout for Petronas Station on the left. Recommended toilet break at Petronas Station. o lookout for blue “Kuantan” road-sign. Turn RIGHT at traffic junction after road-sign. Travel about 80km towards Muadzam Shah Phase 4: Segamat to Muadzam Shah (80km) Turn right at traffic junction “Kuantan” road sign Petronas Station Drive Route Page 4 of 6 SJSM Church Camp: 16 – 19/20 June 2014 6. Phase 5: Muadzam Shah to BGR (80km) At Muadzam Shah, recommended toilet break. Continue for about 80km. Look out for “KL Left, Kuantan Right” road-sign on the left. Look out for “EXIT 251” road-sign. Turn LEFT, towards KL. Travel 2km, look out for “BGR 2km ahead” road-sign. Look out for “BGR turn RIGHT” road-sign. On Day of Return to Singapore (Thu 19 June | Fri 20 June) Back-track from BGR to Muadzam Shah to Segamat to Yong Peng. Recommended lunch break at Segamat. At Yong Peng, reconnect with North-South Highway and travel SOUTH toward JB / Singapore. c.
