Dunalino1 (Light Sooty Dunalino) Sample model horse was prepped with Krylon white primer Number of pigment layers: Dunalino1 (Light Sooty Dunalino) Layer # 1-3 Earth Pigment Color # of Layers Notes: Base color Pigment 31b 3 Solid over the horse. 4 Shading Pigment 46b 1 Shade over the topline, center sides of the rump, belly and underside, front of the shoulders, neck, head and leg points. 5 Shading Pigment 15b 1 Shade the same as previous layer. Shade the leg points, upper part of the neck along the mane and the head as desired. You can also shade other areas lightly as desired. 6-7 Shading Pigment 32 2 On the second layer, shade only the leg points if needed. — Other Black Iron Oxide 1 Shade the muzzle lightly and shade gender area. — On a paper plate, mix approximately 12 drops of Americana Bleached Sand and 2 drops of Americana Fawn. The paint color should match the lightest color on the mane. Use the reference photos provided. Base color the mane and tail and then matte spray. —- Mane and Tail See Notes —- Other Brown Ocher —- Mane and tail Italian Umber & Pigment 15 b 1 With a small 10/0 or 5/0 paint brush, use this pigment color to paint a dorsal stripe and leg barring. Use the reference photos to help detail the tail. Shade the tail with Italian Umber and at the base of the tail, shade with Pigment 15b For the mane, shade lightly as desired. 1 Matte spray. With a flat paint brush or small round paint brush, use the pigment in the tail grooves as desired. Matte spray to finish.
