Step-By-Step:
•Starting off a slightly off-center parting, take
a zigzag overhang of natural hair and clip it
away. Take a vertical slice parting around the
hairline and leave it un-foiled. Take a vertical
slice parting and apply Formula 2 toward
the scalp area, feathering the lightener
approximately 2 ½ – inches from the edge
of the foil to halfway down the parting; apply
Formula 1 to the remainder of the slice
parting.
•Take a second back-to-back vertical slice parting and
repeat the process and formulas. Leave a vertical slice
parting of natural hair un-foiled, then repeat the process
for an approximate total of eight slice partings.
•Proceed to the longer top/fringe area, then take a diagonal
zigzag overhang of natural hair. Picking up the points of the
zigzag, take a diagonal parting; apply Formula 2 approximately
2-inches down the parting (feathering the lightener), Formula 1
for 2- to 3-inches and Formula 2 to the ends to create a lighter
center band in the hair. Take an additional three back-to-back
slice partings and apply the two formulas in the same manner.

•Start in the back. Take a section of hair about 2
inches wide and backcomb at the roots to prevent
bleeding to scalp. Start applying the lightening
formula ½ inch from roots – mid shaft to ends.
•On the side of the head at the hairline, work your
way up the head on a diagonal angle for “face
framing”. Repeat the same on opposite side. From
fringe area take a horizontal weave parting from
hairline and apply lightening formula 2-3 inches from
roots to the ends. Leave a slice of hair not foiled,
then directly above, take a second horizontal weave
and repeat. Process until level 8 is achieved.

the color downwards to create a “false regrowth look.” The feathering will soften the
line of demarcation.
