Please read through this carefully and contact us if you have any questions. Mazunte, Mexico February 14 - 23, 2014 Off to Mexico with Shanti Retreat A magical winter retreat awaits you as we journey through the chakras together in the Oceanside town of Mazunte, Mexico. Immerse yourself in the profound practice of Energy and Chakra Yoga, breathing exercises and meditation. Each day will be a journey of self-discovery as you gain greater insight into the transformative power of each chakra. You will learn how to practically use the teachings so they can serve you in daily life. The retreat includes workshops and yoga twice daily, informative evening programs, organized group activities as well as free time to explore nature and nurture one’s Self. Lacey, Shanti’s manager, will be handling the preparations for the group. Anything she can do to help make your retreat more enjoyable, would be her pleasure. Please contact her with any questions at info@shantiretreat.ca, by phone at 613-777-0247, or visit our website for more information. www.shantiretreat.ca Mazunte is a laid back town with a dazzling sandy beach on the Pacific Coast. In the morning, you will be greeted by the sun’s warm glow over the ocean, and the evening sunsets are unforgettable. A highlight for many is the thrilling adventure to journey by boat to get up close to sea turtles, dolphins, and perhaps even witness the majesty of grey whales as they make their annual pilgrimage along the coast. The warm ocean breezes, clear blue skies, and beckoning surf of Mazunte provide the perfect setting to retreat. We look forward to sharing this experience with you. About Wendy & Darin Fellow travelers in life, Wendy and Darin have been studying, practicing and living yoga for more than 20 years. Their desire to explore this ancient philosophy has taken them on many journeys around the globe. Both are trained in classical Hatha yoga, in the Sivananda tradition, and have studied extensively a form of energy and chakra yoga, Agama Yoga, in southern Thailand www.agamayoga.com with Swami Vivekananda Saraswati. Their daily Spiritual Heart (Hridaya) meditation practice follows Ramana Maharshi’s Self Inquiry Method. During the winter season they take the opportunity to deepen their practice by participating in 10 day silent meditation retreats in Mazunte Mexico, at El Corazon Yoga School www.hridaya-yoga.com, with their teacher Sahajananda. When in Canada, Wendy and Darin run Shanti Retreat on Wolfe Island, near Kingston Ontario. This year marks the 10 th anniversary of Shanti Retreat Arriving at the Airport When you arrive at the Huatulco International Airport (HUX), you will first go through immigration, then you will pick up your bags.
