All use of Mefjord Brygge's house, boat and equipment takes place at the hirer's own risk, and the hirer is
liable for any damage or loss that might occur during the rental period, including possible injuries to the
driver of the boat, passengers and third parties. The hirer is also accountable for anyone else he permits
to use the boat. It is strictly forbidden to bring and use own fuel.

Dear customer
We have invited you here in order for you to be able to experience a fishing adventure, an adventure that can
include good weather, bad weather, an abundance of fish, no fish, and very occasionally the big fish you have
always dreamed of catching.
In order for us to be able to continue inviting you to share this adventure in the future, Mefjord Brygge consider it
necessary to ask tourists to contribute to the regulation of fishing resources together with the rest of the fishing
industry, the authorities, research and sports fishermen. We thus ask you to respect the minimum size of fish
caught and to be aware of the fishing quota for fishing in the sea, it is only allowed to take 15 kg of fish / fishery
products and one trophy fish (at least 15kg) out of Norway.

Check in & Check-out
1. Check-in time for boats and houses/rooms is 14:00
2. Check-out time for boats and houses/rooms is 10:00
3. For checking-in or checking-out between 23:00 - 08:00 additional fee of 500 NOK applies
4. You should return clean boat with 2 clean fish boxes inside with numbers corresponding to the boat’s
number
5. The deposit 200 EUR (or 1500 NOK) per boat will be returned upon check-out when you return your boat and
cabin clean, in the same condition as you got it
6. Fuel is not included. You will pay for the fuel you have used. Please note that we can take back only full tanks
7. If your boat or house is not cleaned, additional fees will apply:
Cleaning a cabin – 500.- NOK / 65 EUR
Cleaning a big house – 800.- NOK / 100 EUR
Cleaning a boat and boxes - 500 NOK / 65 EUR
Using the boat and safety
1. Each boat has 3 x 20 liters of fuel and 2 numbered fishboxes inside
2. Never go fishing when the weather is bad or when “no fishing” sign is in use
3. Always carry mobile phone in the boat
4. In case of emergency you need to call us and tell your boat number on phone +47 77 85 89 80
to be indentified on Automatic Identification System (AIS)
refer to the Internet for more information about this safety and rescue system
5. Always wear lifejacket or floatation suit while in a boat
6. Using a boat under influence of alcohol is not permitted 1
7. The maximum number of persons permitted on the boat is 4
8. Using the boat requires special qualification certificate 2
Fuel
1. Fuel tanks cost (340 NOK / 45 EUR for 20 liters)
2. Put empty tanks in front of fuel storage
3. You can get new tanks any time from 8 am to 4 pm
After fishing
1. Make sure you switch off the engine and GPS
2. Secure your boat properly to a pier with two double ropes.
The insurance doesn’t cover accidents due to your negligence
3. Feel free to use the fillet room to cut, prepare and freeze your fish.
Always leave your working position clean and do not leave your stuff (gloves, bags, etc.) as we might have
to throw them away
4. After you have made the fillet, you must carry the waste parts of fish directly to the boat and drop it inside
the fjord
Do not keep the boxes with fish overnight

During your stay, you can inquire about:

Rental of equipment (rod 165 NOK/day), floatation suit (135 NOK/day)

Your choice of other tourist services (bar, restaurant, barbecue place, hot tube, solarium, sauna,
guided hikes, fishing guide etc.)

The nearest supermarket is in Senjahopen (5km away). It is open from 10 to 18 (Mon-Fri), 10-15 (Sat)

Permitted blood limit is .08% BAC. Please also refer to the Norwegian Ship Control rules, regulation of 11 December 1981 and the Maritime
Code. In case of accident, also blood limit up till .08% BAC
(Blood Alcohol Content) may lead till higher liability
Anyone steering a boat with a length over 8 metres or with a motor over 25 HP must have a Norwegian Certificate of Boatmanship or valid
qualification certificate. This mandatory requirement applies to anyone born on or after 1 January 1980, in accordance with the Regulation of 3
March 2009 on minimum age and Certificate of Boatmanship for leisure craft

Insurance covers damage due to unintentional damage or unlucky accident
caused by bad weather when fishing.
Insurance doesn’t cover any damage caused by improperly secured boat to
a pier, your negligence, or any alcohol related accidents.
Without vailid insurance you take the personal responsibility for any damages or accident
on the engine or the boat for up to NOK 180 000.- (24 000.- euro) in my rental period.
