project brief
Develop a new cross country product
As a sport with a very high participation rate,
there is an opportunity to sell to a large market.
Currently cross country runners don't purchase
many things, shoes, spikes, bibs.
Gill Athletics is the innovative source for your
Cross Country needs because we understand and
meet the needs of this unique track and field event.
Cross country
A sport in which teams, comprised of individual
runners, run a race on an open air course over
natural terrain
The distance: 3K 5K 10K
Cross country is a competitive sport for
middle school students, high school students,
and college students
Training can very from 1 mile runs to 15 mile
runs, depending on age and intensity
Problem Statement
When running, a person should drink 4
to 6 ounces of water every 20 minutes.
After 90 minutes of running, some of this
intake should switch to a sports drink to
replenish nutrients and electrolytes.
However...
Cross country runners often do long
runs as part of their training
These runs can vary from 6 to 12 miles.
During these runs, most runners carry
no water
What happens then?
Dehydration
Slower times
Worse performance overall
