It enables flawless communication, complies with EU directive EN 352-2:2002 and is approved for use as personal protective equipment. Depending on requirements one can use, either a lamella-shaped rubber earplug offering excellent wearer comfort or an ear piece molded from silicone (otoplastic) to match an individual ear form. Each can easily clipped on (see picture above), making the communications system personnel-independent. If personnel changes, only the CT-ClipCom earplug or ear piece needs to be swapped (also relevant in terms of good hygiene). This means that it is not necessary to purchase a complete communication system for each team member. Guarantee for the best fit of individually molded (personalized) otoplasty such like: 2 I CT-Otoplasty - hearing protection - headsets For the perfect customization of these individual products an individual imprint of the ear will be made. Therefore, the auditory canal as well as the complete choncha are homogeneously and non-porous filled with silicone. The transitions from the choncha to the outer side need to be visible at the silicone mold. The pictures above each display two molds – one good and one bad – to show the essential deformity and mistakes for easy identification. Hint: Slightly open the mouth (approximately the widths of a finger) during the process of taking the imprint. You must not speak nor chew nor move your mouth until the imprint material hardened. Please avoid inaccuracy during the molding procedure as this is the cause for non-fitting molds at the end.
