Going. Go. Green.
Amici Water Systems joins the world in the global race in Going Green. Amici is
dedicated to promoting eco-friendly products and solutions for the sustainability of the
planet. We take the lead to reduce waste and inefficiencies in the water systems
industry.
WATER HEATING
TEMPLIFIER: McQuay TGZ Templifier water heaters use a
unique technology to recover large amounts of heat that
would typically be rejected from the building and then use
that heat for processes, building heat, or domestic hot water.
The name says it all: Temperature Amplifier — Templifier. For
more on templifiers, see separate Commercial Heating
catalog.
HEAT PUMPS: A.O. Smith and Fireflux Heat Pump Water Heaters have
been saving energy and reducing the carbon footprints of over 200
commercial establishments and residential homes in the Philippines
since 2005. Heat pumps are proven technology that harvests ambient
heat to generate hot water efficiently. They're the next step after
Solar. Browse through pages 6-9 for more information on HPWHs.
GAS HEATER: The A. O. Smith Cyclone Xi is the industry’s most
technologically advanced commercial water heater. With up to
96% thermal efficiency, Cyclone Xi provides outstanding hot
water output, with dramatic savings on operating costs compared
to units with standard 80% efficiency. A. O. Smith’s leading-edge
engineering delivers conventional power-vent or sealed
combustion power direct-vent versatility, low-NOx emissions, and
excellent space-saving characteristics. See pages 17-18 for more
information.
SOLAR WATER HEATER: Our SolarActive Water Heaters harness
the sun's energy to provide hot water. This system can drastically
reduce your water heater operational costs, saving you money.
SolarActive flat solar collector panels are especially suited for the
Philippines' tropical sunlight. See pages 10-11 for further
information.

PUMPS & TANKS
CONSTANT PRESSURE SYSTEM and VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES:
Amici provides a wide range of customized package booster systems
from constant pressure switch operations to variable frequency
drives for efficient water management. You don't have to run the
big pumps the whole time any longer. Browse through our pump
and tank sections. For more details, see our Commercial Pump
Systems catalog.

SWIMMING POOL
POOL PUMP: A breakthrough in energy-efficiency and service life, the
IntelliPro® VF Variable Frequency Pump automates pump speed
selection for different pool, spa or water features applications. Pump
speeds are easily adjusted with the push of an up or down arrow button.
Standard pool pumps can consume as much energy as all other home
appliances combined. Sta-rite IntelliPro® pumps can cut energy use up
to 90%, generally saving in utility costs annually. See page 22 for more
information.
POOL HEATING: Heated pool is naturally a power hungry
luxury. It makes sense to find the best options for energy
efficiency and operational savings. An Eco Select™ Choice:
Max-E-Therm® gas heaters offer best-in-class energy
efficiency and low NOx emission, making them eco-friendly
favorites. Heat Pump water heaters save even more. And
don't forget solar collectors. They're a great way to boost
heat for an enjoyable swim. Check out page 27 for details.
WAVE GENERATION: Making great waves no longer mean an army
of powerful pumps spiking your electric bill as it forcefully push
water a few times a day. The innovative WaveBall by Wow
Company can generate fun, powerful waves continually, elegantly.
By using resonance and wave harmonics, wave energy is recycled,
amplified, and tuned to desired programming. Meet with our
Wavetech team to get the scoop.
UNDERWATER LIGHTS: LED lights use much less amount of energy
compared to other lighting options. Our diverse family of Jet-flo
and Sta-Rite pool, fountain, and landscape lighting need only 7 - 15
watts to create the same light output as traditional incandescent
and halogen pool lights at 75-150 watts – more than 85% savings.
More designs of underwater lights on page 29.
The rising electricity and gas prices coupled with the negative effects of climate
change require everybody's commitment towards a cleaner world. With our
partnerships with more than 200 hotels, hospitals and resorts, we have so far
contributed to the annual reduction of more than 15,000 tons of CO2 per year.
Let's keep it up for Mother Earth.
Heat Pump Water Heaters
Our heat pumps have been running the hot water systems of a majority
of new top hotels in the Philippines for a reason. They save these
establishments millions of peso in hot water production every year.
Our proven track record in Heat Pump Water Heaters have taken the
commercial water heating industry by storm. Now, it's time to
experience this energy saving technology right at your home.
Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) uses the same mechanical principles
as refrigerators and air conditioners to provide hot water. Unlike
conventional electricity and fossil-fuel-fired water heaters which
directly generate heat through electricity or burning fuel, HPWHs take
heat from the surrounding air and transfer it to the hot water tank.
The heat pump works by taking heat from the surrounding air and using it to heat the low pressure liquid
refrigerant in the heat pump's evaporator, vaporizing the liquid. The refrigerant then passes through the
compressor, which raises the refrigerant pressure and thus the temperature as well. The heated refrigerant
gas passes through the heat pump condenser, where it gives off its heat to the water and condenses back
into the liquid state. The liquid refrigerant now passes through an expansion valve where the pressure is
reduced and the cycle starts over.
The heat pump primarily consists of a compressor, fan, evaporator and the heat exchanger. The compressor
requires electricity to compress the refrigerant and vaporize it, and the fan requires a small amount of
electricity to continually blow air across the evaporator coils when the unit is operating. The only electricity
cost is the operation of the compressor and the fan in order to collect the free heat and pump it to the hot
water.

Using Solar Thermal Collectors, the
energy that can be saved is limited by the
duration by which sunlight directly heats
the solar panels. “Solar” Heat Pumps
however
use
the
refrigeration
technology to force free heat from the
infinitely vast atmosphere into your
showers day and night. This allows heat
pump water heaters to produce almost
20 times more hot water from solar heat
compared to a conventional single panel
solar heater.
For example:
A household with 6 members can
consume as much as 180 gallons per day.
This translates to about Php 10,250.00
per month or about Php 123,000.00 a
year to your electric bill. On the other
hand, with the use of heat pumps, this
translates to only about Php 31,000.00 a
year.

Pressurized Thermosiphon System
Thermosiphon systems do not depend on an external pump to get water moving from collectors to tank.
Instead, they depend on the natural movement of heated water moving upwards to get hot water moving.
We offer both roof-top and balcony-type solar collectors for residential use. Our solar heaters are pressurized
by design. This means you get the same pressure for hot water as you get on tap. This is unlike some of the
cheaper gravity-type solar heater design marketed here.

Residential Electric Water Heaters
Innovation Has A Name
We carry a wide selection of
capacities, wattage, and form
factors for electric water heaters.
Our tall models are suitable for
installation where foot print is
scarce and installation width is
narrow.
Our short and even
moreso the Lowboy models are
great for installation where
vertical space is limited. The
compact models are available for
under-the-lavatory installations
where hot water requirement is
limited.
Since inventing the industry-standard glass-lined water heater
in 1936, A.O. Smith has continued to be the leader in
providing home owners and developers of quality and value
hot water heating systems.

Cyclone Xi Commercial Gas Water Heaters
Extra-High Efficiency Gas Water Heaters
Introducing the World's First 96% Efficient Water Heaters
The original Cyclone XHE line (BTH-120 through BTH-250)
set standards for performance and quality that still stand:
94% thermal efficiency, multiple venting options, spacesaving, time-saving installation versatility.
Now, with an unprecedented 96% thermal efficiency, the
Cyclone XI BTH-300 and BTH-400 raise the bar yet again.
The newest Cyclones combine 130 gallon storage with
300,000 and 400,000 BTU inputs. By manifolding multiple
units together, total storage and recovery can be increased
dramatically.
The Cyclone XI far surpasses federally mandated ASHRAE
standards for heat loss and complies with CEC Title 24. Top
and bottom insulation and a sealed submerged combustion
chamber reduce heat loss to an absolute minimum. 96%
thermal efficiency allows Cyclone BTH-300 and BTH-400 to
provide total investment recovery in as little as two years.
The expanded Cyclone line gives you a commercial water
heater choice for mid-sized restaurants and 50-300 room
hotels, with significant advantages over both standard
systems and boiler installations. And breaking the 96%
barrier truly does make Cyclone the most efficient water
heater line ever built.

Pool Filters
Sta-Rite Cartridge Filters
Cartridge filters are easy to use and maintain. During
maintenance, cartridges can be cleaned by simply hosing the
cartridge. For longer maintenance-free operation, choose
oversized filters. Oversized filters mean more time before you
have to clean the filter. The simple way of cleaning cartridge
filters also saves water, compared to the automatic backwash
operation of the sand filter.
Replacement cartridges are available for Sta-Rite, Pentair,
Hayward, Jacuzzi, Purex as well as other brands.

Pool Filters
Sta-Rite Sand Filters
Sand Filters use silica sand or zeolite as permanent
filtration media. They do not depend on the
continuous use of D.E. powder to clear your
swimming pool. During maintenance, a simple and
convenient back washing is done through the
multiport valve of the filter.
The convenience, large capacity, and reduced
operational costs are what makes sand filters the
popular choice for commercial swimming pools.
Silica sand and Zeolite are available from us. Use
Zeolite media for best filtration results with sand
filters.

Prozone Ozonator
Sunshine Aqua Ionizers
Ozonators generate ozone that kills 99.9% of
bacteria, germs, and other contaminants, leaving your
pool sparkling clean. Works great together with your
salt chlorinator for automated convenience.
Ionizers are another great way to reduce chlorine
dependency. Ionizers supply copper and silver ions
to act as algaecide and bactericde. Ionizers perform
best with low levels of chlorine or other oxidizers.

Water Treadmill from Speck Pumps
Aquatic exercise is one of the best exercises you can do. Gentle and soothing swimming has historically been a
superior method for staying in shape. Now you can convert a part of your pool to a space-saving athletic
corner and enjoy all the benefits of this exceptional water therapy. The BaduJet counter swim units are a
great addition to your fitness regimen.
The SwimJet System creates a current within otherwise still water. To accomplish this, the water is pumped
into the pool through one, two, or three specifically engineered larged recessed jet nozzles. These nozzles
are mounted in an underwater housing in the pool wall or in a housing installed over the wall. The jet nozzles
can be adjusted to change the depth and width of the current for an enjoyable experience or a low impact
water exercise.
The Badu SwimJet Systems
from Speck Pumps are
designed for installation
during the construction of
your pool to create a water
treadmill.
The Badu Stream Over-the-Wall unit
provides great exercise and terrific
recreational fun for existing pools. The
unit can be mounted over the wall of most
pools with little installation effort or cost.

Pressure Tanks
Our line of pressure tanks are captive air types that completely separate air from water. These designs have
several advantages over the conventional galvanized iron or stainless steel tanks:
●
Waterlog is eliminated - Less Maintenance
●
Durability
●
Water quality – Water is contained in NSF approved membrane or tank lining
●
Space Saving – full capacity drawdown means smaller tanks for the same capacity as conventional tanks

Pool Chlorine Guide
Directions: For new or newly refilled pools, add 10 oz. of chlorine per 10,000
gallons of pool water. Then run the filtration system for 24 hours. Adjust ph
to 7.4 - 7.6 and test for chlorine residual. Do not allow bathers to swim when
chlorine residual is above 2.00 PPM. Then simply follow the chlorine dosage
shown below.
Superchlorination: Should pool water appear cloudy or dirty, add 20 oz. of
chlorine concentrate per 10,000 gallons, allowing the pool filter to run so as
to turn the pool water over in the pool. This process should be repeated until
the pool water is clear and sparkling. Normal chlorination is not necessary
during this process. Do not allow bathers when chlorine residual is over 2.00
PPM.
