About
Eamar
C.E.O Nasser Al Abadi
Eamar Engineering Consultancy is one of the leading Omani-Managed engineering consultancies in the Sultanate of Oman.
It was established in 2008 ( license 172/2008 ) by Nasser Al Abadi a qualified civil engineer who gained his degree at Nottingham Polytechnic in the United Kingdom.
Since it was established, Eamar has been based at offices in Al Khuwair, Muscat but before then Nasser gained his experience working for Muscat Municipality starting as Civil
Engineer in 1992 and reaching the level of Deputy Director General at Bausher in 2008 .
Nasser believes in hard work and improving the community by using his talent and experience to raise the level of design in Oman.
Initially Eamar was mainly involved with Planning, Buildings and Survey undertaking
many quality designs in the building sector. At the end of 2010 Eamar expanded into
Highways and Infrastructure sector to offer a ’one-stop-shop’ service to its clients.
Making the changes necessary to meet the needs of highways and infrastructure takes
time but during the first year of change it gained much credibility in the area of Highways
and Infrastructure.
His aim is to expand the company, investing in the future development of Omani Architects & Engineers for the betterment of Oman and its people.
As the company is in its infancy it relies on some of its associate companies to provide
the experience and expertise in areas it cannot cover internally.
Quality management is key to success in expansion and Eamar are currently reviewing
procedures in-house to ensure we reach ISO standards for quality management.
Eamar is fortunate that its associate companies are amongst recognized leaders in their
fields of activity and provide it with a huge platform of experience and expertise which enables it to consider design projects of any magnitude.
The following pages give a glimpse of some of our past projects and an indication of our
capabilities as Eamar independently or in a JV or Partnership with one or more of our associated companies.

HIGHWAYS & INFRASTRUCTURE
Eamar undertake Highway and Infrastructure design and supervision.
Our services cover all elements of Highway and Infrastructure Design including Traffic
Analysis, Feasibility Reports, Signing, Lining, Street Lighting, Volumes, Surface Water
Drainage, Utilities etc..
All of our designs are produced in a 3D model which has dynamic capability to enable total coordination of all elements of the design automatically, reducing the time
required to check amended design data during the design process.
Utilities and drainage are placed in the ‘live’ model fixing the cover levels to the proposed or existing surfaces as required and design data is transposed electronically to
the design model ensuring no errors between the design software and design drawings.
Volumes of all design elements including slope protection, kerbing, ducting, drainage,
earthworks and construction layers are automated from the design model.

Road Design
WADI SALLAN
Wadi Sallan is a unique project in Sohar. The project is divided into 2 main elements.
1.
2.
Beautification of Wadi Sallan ( North of the Batinah Highway )
Design of a custom access road for Sallan fishing village.
The design of both were to incorporate a new aspect of design moving away from the traditional Blacktop and Block Paving
construction with an innovative and fresh economical and practical approach.
For this we proposed the use of polymer base stabilizers in the Beatification, Wadi Protection mixed with well-graded natural locally available materials to give the project a natural appearance whilst remaining practical and durable at an economical construction and maintenance cost.
In addition to this we proposed a ‘Rammed Earth” construction for the buildings, again using a polymer based stabilizer to
retain a natural and environmentally friendly construction.
Road and path construction was designed to have a natural look and feel with the surface extending to the houses along
the frontage to Sallan Fishing village.
Phase 1 of the project is the North Bank of the Wadi Beautification due to go to tender soon.

WADI SALLAN—Coast Road
Wadi Sallan Coastal Road is designed primarily for the benefit if Sallan Village occupants, it involves the
provision of a subtle feature access road, lighting and planting and the renewal of the beach structures
used for everyday maintenance of nets and boats and community life in the fishing community.
Unlike many coastal and cornice roads in Oman, this road will provide access to the village and will be designed specifically to enhance the everyday life of the inhabitants whilst blending into the background as an infrastructural entity.
A small coastal protection wall will be provided along the initial stretch of the 3.5Km road to increase the diminishing
width of access and prolong the accessibility to the village. The building structures will be mainly of natural materials to
enhance the natural beauty of the village whilst maintaining an environmentally safe approach to construction and design.

High Tech Design to exacting detail
Our PDO projects were undertaken through IBN BHALA ENGINEERING a close
associate of Eamar.
The internal dualisation of the PDO site was completed to a high level of detail
to ensure all elements of the road design fit perfectly on site.
‘The better the design model the better chance of good construction’
Attention to detail allows us to demonstrate to the Client that the design works
in practice before going to tender, thus significantly reducing design problems
during the construction phase.
Addition of structural features such as the sea-wall protection are displayed at
all levels of detail throughout the model, as required and adjustments during
the design process are automatically reflected throughout all elements of the
model including plan, sections and 3d visualizations.

Quality Topographical Survey is the basis of a quality design. This depends
on not only having the right equipment and using it at the appropriate time
but also in the Surveyor having sound understanding of the requirements in
data collection to build a topographical ground model to accurately reflect
the existing surfaces existing on site, whether open ground or existing
roads, car parks etc..
In addition, services need to be properly represented in accordance with the
needs of the Client, Utilities Companies and the designers.
Ar Eamar we use the best surveyors and latest equipment. Our 10 survey
teams are highly experienced survey teams briefed by the design section in
how the data should be collected and represented to provide the highest
quality digital terrain models.
We have one of the largest survey capabilities in Oman and specializing in 3
dimensional design, we are best placed to realize the importance that correctness in data has on the accuracy of design data and volumes used for
budgetary and detailed cost estimates.
23
Topographic Survey
Most of our design work is based upon topographical survey carried out by
ourselves to ensure the highest quality of data is used for the design process..
Built-in software features highlighting areas of ponding on sites or to determine catchment areas for surface water calculations add to the advantage
of using Eamar to do the topographical survey work.
From basic ground surveys aimed at volumetric calculations to detailed surveys involving existing features and utilities we can provide the survey capability.
If you already have a survey we can adapt the information from any format
and advise you on any further information you may require.
