by a young lawyer, Michele wants to find his children who were taken away when
he was incarcerated. He manages to become the gardener in his children's home
without being recognized. The film blends suspense with comedy, drama, and
many heartwarming moments. Nino Manfredi dominates the screen with his subtle,
beautiful performance. His strongest acting is without a spoken word, advancing
the plot using only his eyes. This is every bit as charming a film as Un Difetto di
Famiglia (both directed by his son-in-law with casting by his daughter) which we
showed Spring 2008. It is anything but "An Ordinary Story".
