Register for MyAccount using myGov Overview There are two ways to login to MyAccount: using a DVA Account using myGov This document covers the registration process using myGov. To register for MyAccount this way, you must first obtain an Activation Code from the Online Services Helpdesk. 1. Call the DVA Online Services Helpdesk on 1800 173 858 during business hours and request a myGov activation code. 2. Write this code down. 3. Go to https://myaccount.dva.gov.au. The DVA Online Services screen displays. 4. Click the Register now | Activate account button. Enter your date of birth. 8. Enter your MyAccount activation code. 9. Click the Submit button. The Confirmation screen displays. 10. Click the Continue button. If you already have a myGov account, see I already have a myGov account. If you do not have a myGov account, see I do not have a myGov account I already have a myGov account You will need your myGov username and password. 1. Enter your myGov username. 2. Enter your myGov password. 3. Click the Sign in button. Click the Next button. You will be automatically redirected back to MyAccount. If you agree to the terms and conditions, select the Yes radio button. 8. Click the Continue button. To access MyAccount in future, click the Login button on the DVA Online Services screen. For more information about performing transactions, click the Help button located at the top right of each page. I do not have a myGov account From the Welcome to myGov screen. 1. Click the Create a myGov account button. Select the terms of use hyperlink to read the myGov terms and conditions. 3. If you agree, select the I accept the myGov terms of use check box. 4. Click the Next button. Clients will need to provide an email address that is not associated with any other myGov account. 6. Enter your mobile number (optional). Enter a password, and then confirm the password. Your password needs to be at least 7 characters long and include at least 1 number 7. Choose three secret questions and provide answers. 8. Click the Next button. If you lose this username, you can use the myGov username reset function to get a reminder. 9. Click the Next button. Select your preferred method of notification, either email or SMS. You will need to provide a valid Australian mobile number if you wish to use the SMS option. 10. Click the Continue button.
