DIAMOND DRILLS COMMON USES EXAMPLES OF COMMON USES Ø 6 - 8 - 10 - 12 mm Ø 12 - 14 - 16 - 18 - 20 mm Ø 20 - 27 mm Ø 35 mm Ø 40 mm Ø 65 - 67 - 68 and 75 mm Ø 85 mm Ø 85 - 105 - 125 - 150 mm For all type of supports of accessories or equipment with plugs, diameter depends on the weight and therefore the diameter of the screw. For access to copper pipe ducts, water supplies, radiators or electrical cables. For access to copper or steel pipe ducts for radiators. For access to the discharge pipe in copper or PVC for bathroom sinks (Ø 32 mm). For access to the discharge pipe in copper or PVC for bath or sinks (Ø 40 mm). For standard electrical boxes (depth 40 mm) sockets, switches, telephone, TV, computer, etc ... For standard electrical boxes cable exit and 32A socket ... For access to PVC drain pipe evacuations. EFFICIENT WET DRILLING PRACTICE › The maximum drilling depth is 40 mm. › The use of a cylindrical sponge allows the use of water. › Hole saws cups from Ø 18 mm are provided with a sponge adapted to their diameter › Prior to the drilling operation, soak this sponge for 3 to 4 minutes in a container of water, and then introduce it into the cup without applying pressure. › During drilling the water in the sponge, by centrifugal effect, will be released to the crown to provide adequate watering for drilling a material with a maximum thickness of 10 mm and the right density (equivalent to that of sandstone). IMPORTANT : When piercing materials of a thickness greater than 10 mm or very hard materials and abrasion resistant, repeat the dipping operation of the sponge as often as necessary. › To drill correctly, just press reasonably, without forcing, so that the Hole Saw advances (bit and hole saw cup), being very careful to exert this pressure vertically. With this movement, which is easy after 1 or 2 attempts, you can excavate the residue from drilling and allow the water to go down to the bottom of the circular furrow. Nevertheless, for optimal use of the Hole Saw, you should withdraw it completely after approximately 8mm penetration. › Allow the Hole Saw to cool down sufficiently between 2 drillings. PROTECTION AND SAFETY RULES › Furthermore, it is essential to respect the statutory protective measures such as gloves and goggles and to take care not to jam the diamond bit in the material. IMPORTANT : It is essential to evacuate the core from inside the bit before drilling again. WARRANTY › Contrary to diamond cutting discs, which you can revive after a “waxing”, this is not possible with FORAGRES bits. › A FORAGRES diamond bit that no longer penetrates a material any more is definitively worn naturally. No complaints shall be accepted for natural wear.
