Quick-Installation
Safety instructions for Creatix 949 V.1 DVB-T/TV-Tuner Card
This equipment has been designed and tested in accordance with the requirements of Standard
EN60950.
Connected antenna cable has to be grounded.
Precondition:
Under Windows XP Service Pack 2 has to be installed.
Installation under Windows XP
• Plug in the Creatix 949 DVB-T/TV-Tuner Card into a free
PCMCIA (Cardbus) slot. Turn on your Notebook.
• Windows recognize the Creatix DVB-T/TV-Tuner Card
automatically. The window „Found New Hardware
Wizard“ will pop up. Choose „Install from a list or
specific location (Advanced)“. Go ahead with „Next>“.
• To install the driver please insert the product CD-ROM
into the CD-ROM Drive and search the directories for the
right driver (for e.g. directory: d:\driver\...). Press the
button „Next>“ to continue.
• The assistant will find the “Creatix 949 DVB-T/TV-Tuner
Card” and start copying the files into the system. Press
the button „Next>“, to continue the installation.

• Press the button „Finish“, to finish the installation.
• Make a right click to “My Computer”, select “Properties”,
go to the “Hardware” tab and click the “Device Manager”
button to see if any exclamation mark (!) appears next to
the “Creatix SAA7131, Hybrid Capture Device”. If not,
your card is working well.
Installation under Windows 2000
Under Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 and Direct X 9.0 has to be installed.
• Turn off your Notebook. Plug in the Creatix 949 DVBT/TV-Tuner card into an empty PCMCIA slot. Switch on
your Notebook again.
• Windows recognize the Creatix DVB-T/TV-Tuner Card
automatically. The window „Found New Hardware
Wizard“ will pop up. Choose „Install from a list or
specific location (Advanced)“. Go ahead with „Next>“

• To install the driver please insert the product CD-ROM into
the CD-ROM Drive and search the directories for the right
driver (for ex. directory: d:\driver\...). Press the button
„OK>“ to continue.
• The assistant find the driver and copies the files into the
system. To continue the installation, press the button
“Next>”.
• Press the button “Finish” to complete the installation.
• Make a right click to “My Computer”, select “Properties”,
go to the “Hardware” tab and click the “Device Manager”
button to see if any exclamation mark (!) appears next to
the “Creatix SAA7131, Hybrid Capture Device”. If not,
your card is working well.
