Safety Instructions Overview • Before connecting the appliance to an outlet, make sure that the voltage listed on the appliance matches the mains voltage. • For safety reasons, this class I appliance is fitted with a grounded socket. • Always connect the appliance to a grounded outlet. • This appliance can be used by children from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are 8 years and above and supervised . • If the appliance is switched on or cooling down, keep it and its power cord away from children of under 8 years. • The temperature of accessible surfaces can be high when the appliance is in operation. • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to prevent a hazard. • The appliance is not intended for use together with an external timer or a separate remote control system. • Do not immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or other liquids. • Check the power cord, the appliance, and an extension cord regularly for damage. Set the grease drip tray under the drain. 1 The pilot lamp (orange) lights once the plug has been plugged into an outlet. Set the temperature, it can be adjusted steplessly. Place the distance wire frame onto the lower heating plate. 1. Wipe the outer surfaces of the cooled appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Afterwards wipe it dry. Do not insert it into water. 2. Afterwards wipe it dry. •Operate the appliance with closed heating plates for approx. 4 to 5 minutes (see “Operation”). Then allow it to cool down and wipe the grilling surfaces with a damp cloth. Before grilling, wipe the grilling plates with a paper kitchen towel soaked with cooking oil. •Smells or light smoke may be caused at the time of first use. This is completely normal! Only use according to these instructions. Improper use is dangerous and will void any warranty claim. Observe the safety instructions. Close the grill for heating to the set temperature. The green pilot lamp lights when the set temperature has been reached. You can start grilling. 4 | EN After Grilling, set the switch to OFF and pull the mains plug. Use only the required card length and wind the rest onto the spool at the foot of the appliance. Engage the lock for transport. 5 | EN Use only the carrying handle to carry the appliance. 6 | EN Recipes Elements of Lifestyle Meat, Poultry, Fish Marinating the meat is recommended for the preparation of especially tender and juicy meat. The basic liquid for marinades consists amongst other of oil, vinegar, buttermilk, lemon juice, or soy sauce. You can refine these basic liquids according to taste with mustard (or mustard seeds), dill, garlic, laurel, ketchup, and spices (like paprika, curry, and pepper). Salt draws water from the meat and thus should not be added to the marinade. Salt the meat after grilling. Add the meat and turn it several times in the marinade, so that it is completely moistened with the marinade. Leave the meat in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in a refrigerator. 3 tbs. vinegar (for example Balsamico) 4 tbs. olive oil 2 tbs. of honey 1 tbs. of spicy chili paste (for example Sambal Oelek) Mix the ingredients well in a bowl. Add the meat and turn it several times in the marinade, so that it is completely moistened with the marinade. Leave the meat in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in a refrigerator. Lamb: Rosemary, garlic, oregano, chili, coriander • • • • • 500 g flour 1 P. dry yeast 1 tbs. salt 1 tbs. sugar 250 ml lukewarm water Ingredients for the topping: • • • • • • • 300 g minced meat 1 onion (finely chopped) 2 red paprika peppers (diced) 2 tomatoes (diced) 3 tbs. of tomato paste 2 tbs. of olive oil Salt, pepper, and chili powder as desired Mix the flour, the salt, the dry yeast, and the sugar and add the lukewarm water under steady stirring. Mix to a soft dough and let it rise for 40 minutes. In the meantime, finely chop the onion and the red paprika peppers for the topping, add them with the other ingredients into a bowl and stir well. Roll out the dough thinly to the size of the grilling surface and distribute the chopped meat uniformly on it. Place the pizza onto the grilling plate and set the distance wire frame onto the appliance.
