Safety Instructions
Overview
• Before connecting the appliance to
an outlet, make sure that the voltage listed on the appliance matches
the mains voltage.
• For safety reasons, this class I appliance is fitted with a grounded
socket.
• Always connect the appliance to a
grounded outlet.
• This appliance can be used by
children from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are 8 years and above
and supervised .
• If the appliance is switched on
or cooling down, keep it and its
power cord away from children of
under 8 years.

The temperature of accessible
surfaces can be high when the
appliance is in operation.
• If the power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly

after use.
• Line the power cord, and, if required, the extension cord so that
it will not be pulled or present a
tripping hazard.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation or
connected to the mains.
• Clean the appliance after every
use. Allow the appliance to cool
down completely before cleaning
and storage.
• Clean the grill surfaces with a
damp cloth. Do not use aggressive
detergents or sharp tools.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Warning:
Switch off the appliance before cleaning,
pull the power plug, and let the appliance
cool down.
Set the grease drip tray
under the drain.

1. Wipe the outer surfaces of the cooled
appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Afterwards wipe it dry. Do not insert it into
water.
2. Clean the grill surfaces with the cleaning
spatula and a damp cloth. Do not use
aggressive detergents or sharp tools.

Intended Use

•Wipe the outer surfaces of the appliance
with a soft, moist cloth. Afterwards wipe
it dry.
•Operate the appliance with closed heating
plates for approx. 4 to 5 minutes (see
“Operation”). Then allow it to cool down
and wipe the grilling surfaces with a damp
cloth. Before grilling, wipe the grilling
plates with a paper kitchen towel soaked
with cooking oil.
•Smells or light smoke may be caused at
the time of first use. This is completely
normal! Accordingly, provide sufficient
ventilation.

This appliance is intended only for grilling
of food for use in a household or a similar
non-commercial area. Only use according to these instructions. Improper use is
dangerous and will void any warranty claim.
Observe the safety instructions.
Close the grill for heating
to the set temperature.

Meat, Poultry, Fish
Marinating the meat is recommended for
the preparation of especially tender and
juicy meat. The basic liquid for marinades
consists amongst other of oil, vinegar, buttermilk, lemon juice, or soy sauce. You can
refine these basic liquids according to taste
with mustard (or mustard seeds), dill, garlic,
laurel, ketchup, and spices (like paprika,
curry, and pepper). Salt draws water from
the meat and thus should not be added to
the marinade. Salt the meat after grilling.

In the following, some suggestions for the
seasoning of meat:
Poultry:
Curry, paprika, garlic, sage, thyme, lemon,
ginger, honey
Pork:
Honey, sage, mustard, rosemary, thyme,
garlic
Beef:
Mustard, chili, horse radish
Fish:
Lemon, curry, coriander, dill, honey, caraway, thyme, juniper, laurel

Ingredients for 3 to 4 pizza doughs (depending on the dough thickness):
Juice of 2 lemons
3 teaspoons ground, sweet paprika
3 tbs. olive or sunflower oil
Pepper
3 crushed garlic cloves
Mix the ingredients well in a bowl. Add
the meat and turn it several times in the
marinade, so that it is completely moistened with the marinade. Leave the meat
in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in a
refrigerator.

4 tbs. olive oil
2 tbs. of honey
1 tbs. of spicy chili paste (for example
Sambal Oelek)
Mix the ingredients well in a bowl. Add
the meat and turn it several times in the
marinade, so that it is completely moistened with the marinade. Leave the meat
in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in a
refrigerator.

250 ml lukewarm water

300 g minced meat
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 red paprika peppers (diced)
2 tomatoes (diced)
3 tbs. of tomato paste
2 tbs. of olive oil
Salt, pepper, and chili powder as desired
Mix the flour, the salt, the dry yeast, and
the sugar and add the lukewarm water under steady stirring. Mix to a soft dough and
let it rise for 40 minutes.
In the meantime, finely chop the onion and
the red paprika peppers for the topping,
add them with the other ingredients into a
bowl and stir well. Roll out the dough thinly
to the size of the grilling surface and distribute the chopped meat uniformly on it. Place
the pizza onto the grilling plate and set the
distance wire frame onto the appliance. Set
the lid onto the distance wire frame and
cook the pizza with a medium setting.
