Greasing : Grease the MAKITA GREASE on the movable/sliding faces on the points shown below before assembling. Up/down swinging points of blade case Blade case, arm, pipe 16-113 Arm beveling points in left/right and movable points Arm and arm holder complete(faucet joint and center shaft) Guide plate face(the side where steel ball hit), edge on the hexagon bolt M10x90 Support point for turn base turning in left/right and moving points Armature Turn base, Boss at center on the base, Left/right moving face on the base Edge of link plate Outer circumference on the center plate Side face on the hole for mounting the blade case and compression spring Moving face on the sub-fence Screw on the stopper holder Oil applying Slide plate Pan head screw M5 Bearing retainer 66 Disassembling/assembling of gear Unless the armature is disconnected, the gear cannot be disassembled. Accordingly first take away the armature. To disconnect the gear, remove the pan head screws M5(2 pieces) for holding the bearing retainer 66 from inside the blade case. To assemble the gear, proceed in the following steps. i) Set the rubber ring 20 on the spiral bevel gear 33. ii) Place the flat washer 14 in the spindle, insert the key 4, and set the spiral bevel gear 33 mounted with the rubber ring 20. iii) To assemble the circle clip(shaft)S-14, use the arbor etc. to press the spiral bevel gear 33, and assemble it while crushing the rubber ring 20. After assembling, make sure that the circle clip(shaft) S-14 has been securely inserted in the groove. Rubber ring 20 Flat washer 14 Key 4 Spindle Circle clip(shaft) S-14 Spiral bevel gear 33 For disassembling of blade case, compression ring 28 and link plate, proceed in the same procedures as LS1011 and LS1030. Assembling of the bearing box B complete For this machine, the bearing box B complete is screwed so that the distance between the shaft receivers of two slide poles can be adjusted. Therefore assemble in the following orders. i) Temporarily mount the bearing box B on the turn base. ii) Mount the arm holder complete and then fix the bearing box B while the arm holder complete is being inserted in the deepest. Bearing box B Turn base Arm holder complete iii) Slide the arm holder complete and fix the square rod complete while the groove on the slide pipe edge comes nearest to the bearing 30. Square rod complete Bearing 30 (already inserted into the turn base) Rubber pin iv) Assemble the square rod complete in a way that the rubber pin comes at bearing 30 side. Adjusting the ball notch strength with the beveling at 0 (right angle) For this machine, the right angle corner is positioned without clearance using the ball notch comprising two steel balls. If the ball notch functions too strong or weak when the motor is inclined, turn the hexagon holed stop screw at right side to adjust the function. For reference of the functioning strength, make arrangement in a degree that the base leg may not float when the motor is inclined(when the ball notch is disconnected). Arm holder The screw at left should be positioned while returned by 1/2-turn from the same face as the aluminum face and do not adjust it. Use the screw at right to adjust the function. Fastening the hexagon bolt M8 for mounting the turn base Adjust the fastening degree of hexagon bolt M8 at the center on the turn base so that the turn base can be smoothly turned without clearance. Turn base Hexagon bolt M8 Fastening the hexagon lock nut M8 for mounting the arm Adjust the fastening degree of the hexagon lock nut M8 at center of arm turning so that the arm can be inclined in left/right smoothly without clearance. Arm Hexagon lock nut M8 Assembling of the pin holder Since the lock pin for positive stopping may wrongly move depending on the assembling conditions of the pin holder, assemble the pin holder while checking if the lock pin can move smoothly. Assembling of the pipe 9-200 Once the grip has been removed from the turn base, the pipe inside the turn base may be dropped. If the pipe 9-200 has been dropped, also remove the knob 48 complete from the turn base and then assemble through the screw hole of the turn base edge while the knob 48 complete and pipe 9-200 are being inserted in the grip. Turn base Grip Knob 48 complete Base Pin holder Lock pin Pipe 9-200 Assembling of the grip 37 and screw M8x320 Adjust the length of the screw M8x320 so that you can get the size shown on the below figure. To fasten the hexagon nut M8, fix under the fastening torque of more than 100 kgf.cm.
