Welcome
Once again it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Brandl Cattle Co. Bull Sale.
This is our 9th annual sale and our 35th year of raising Angus cattle. This year is exceptionally exciting for us as we will be hosting the sale in our new sale barn right in the
yard.
Please note the change in format. This years sale will be a live auction. The sale
will start at 3:00 PM and the bulls will be broadcast on video for the sale. Internet bidding will also be available. We have found that as we continue to sell more bulls each
year it is necessary to make some changes in our efficiency. As always it will remain an
event that you will not want to miss!
This years offering of bulls is as strong as ever and genetically unique. Bulls designed to influence the future of your cowherd and improve your bottom line with less
inputs. We have a great selection of yearlings born in January and February, so these
bulls will all be 17 – 18 months old when most of you are breeding. We also have a selection of older bulls as well.
It will be our honor and pleasure to have you appraise our cattle on March 5th. It
promises to be a day of fellowship with cattlemen, good times, good cattle, plenty of
food and fun as the sale will be followed by a roast beef supper and entertainment by musician and comedian “Ben Crane”
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us or any of our competant
sales staff. Remember bulls have the greatest economic impact on your breeding program.
We look forward to seeing you March 5th,
Byron & Gwen

Lets start this off with a bang! Premium Edition is a 3 year old herdsire in his prime. We have used him the last
two years and he has proven to offer exceptional calving ease and phenominal performance. To date his male
calves have averaged 81 lbs at birth, 753 at 205 days and 1255 at 365 days with a weaning index of 117 and a
yearling index of 105. We have used Limited Edition, Special Edition and Premium Edition quite heavily and
only because we've retained many daughters from each will we part with this great young bull. His dam 88J is
an ELITE female with 10 calves having a 107 weaning ratio.

A rare opportunity indeed! No semen was ever sold on the
2009 Agribition Grand Champion Fort Rock. Only through
our good friendship with Bryan Mackenzie who owns part of
the bull were we able to breed our donor cow Lynn 31'97 to
him. Lynn was one of the most fertile milk machines to ever
walk Brandl pastures and is now a donor cow for Blairs.Ag in
Lanigan, Sask. Note that she is not only the dam of these two
ET calves, but the grand dam of Premium Edition as well.

Southolm Accutron was a popular bull in the early 1990's. He has
proven himself as a calving ease sire that will improve udders and
feet. Many of his daughters are ELITE females and have lasted
into their teenage years. 15X descends from Georgina 96M who
produced until she was 19. Georgina 15K was an ELITE female
headed in the same direction until a snow loaded cattle shed fell on
her this Winter.

Simmental / Angus Hybrid Bull
In 2009 our kids pooled their resources and purchased a
Black Simmental bull from Barclay Smith. We showed
against him as a calf and in fact he was the Supreme
Champion Bull at Mayerthorpe Fair. They bought him to breed their commercial cows but I couldn't resist trying to raise a few good hybrid bulls as well. I think this 56 is pretty darn good. If you have kids in
4-H I think they'd be better showing this guys sons than showing against them!

Valley. They purchased this bull in our 2009 sale for $4600. With their herd being smaller
and them retaining daughters from 98T they have decided to move him while he is in his
prime. Sons of 98T have averaged 72 lbs at birth and an excellent 723 at 205 days. This
bull is stout, easy fleshing and made right. Sired by the 2004 Farmfair Supreme Champion
Bull and from an ELITE dam. Maternal brothers include a $4500 bull to Abraham land &
Cattle, $4600 to Blaine Dunlop, $3000 to L4L Ranches and another to Ben & Hendria Hospers.

may be interested in purchasing back an interest in Emperor.
