Agenda 4th Annual DHL LLP Services Conference October 15 – 16, 2013 Buch am Ammersee – Germany welcome to the 4th annual DHL LLP services conference and workshop sessions In times of economic challenges and volatility, outsourcing becomes an important possibility to reduce risk and cost while increasing flexibility. Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) services are a good way of coping with these uncertainties and supports the logistics needs to enter new markets. This enables more efficient and frequent deliveries to retail distribution centers and retail stores at lower transportation and handling costs, provided a number of process innovations are implemented. Workshop A: Emerging markets This workshop is about how LLP can support your company to enter new emerging markets and facilitate future growth. During this session we look for answers on what you would expect from LLP by entering emerging markets and what challenges you might face when doing business in these markets. 4 Workshop B: IT developments and future trends Is your company truly ready for integrating carriers, suppliers or vendors into your existing IT system? This workshop will give you an introduction on how LLP can support you to achieve a smooth integration by implementing a customer solution via different maturity levels. A jointly agreed company-specific roadmap provides guidance to the evolution which brings many benefits in the end. This session will also touch the topic of future IT platforms. Workshop C: Building the business case for CHANGE LLP can optimize and improve your supply chain performance. Travel by Plane The closest airport to fly in is Munich Airport. Arrival at Terminal 1:After customs you will be awaited by a driver with a sign “Deutsche Post DHL” Arrival at Terminal 2:After customs, please proceed towards the exit of the terminal to Starbucks Coffee (Terminal 2, Level 03), which is our meeting point. A taxi driver will be waiting for you with a sign “Deutsche Post DHL” We will also take care of your transfer back to the airport (or into Munich) after the conference on Wednesday October 16th. The exact timing of this transfer will be communicated via an information board on the second day of the event. Travel by Car From Highway A 9 Nuremberg-Munich Exit A 92/A 99 in the direction of Stuttgart-Lindau. Then take the A 96 towards Lindau to the “Inning a.A.” exit. Take highway B 471 in the direction of Herrsching/Breitbrunn. After entering Buch, follow the signs for Deutsche Post AG’s Management Center. Billing Instructions DHL Global Forwarding will absorb all costs for your hotel accommodation, airport transfer, meals and drinks during the event. Travel expenses need to be paid individually.
