How to set up Remote Desktop on a Mac
Install the application Microsoft Remote Desktop
Open App Store to get the application.
Type in remote desktop in the search field located in the upper right corner. Use Enter to perform
the search.
Click the GET button next to Microsoft Remote Desktop to install the application.

When the installation completes, locate Microsoft Remote Desktop in Launchpad.
Click Microsoft Remote Desktop to launch it.
Configure the Remote Desktop profile
Place a checkmark for "Don't show this again".
Click Close.

Student - New profile
Click the "New" button with the + icon to create a new profile.
Connection Name: HiMolde
PC name: karpe.stud.himolde.no
Gateway: No gateway configured
User name: stud\studentnumber (to type the \ on a mac with a norwegian keyboard layout, hold
the keys alt+shift , press 7.)

Password: Type in your himolde password.
You may now close this windows.
Employee - New profile
Click the "New" button with the + icon to create a new profile.
Connection Name: HiMolde
PC name: havsil.himolde.no
Gateway: No gateway configured

User name: himolde\username (to type the \ on a mac with a norwegian keyboard layout, hold the
keys alt+shift , press 7.)
Password: Type in your himolde password.
You may now close this windows.
Logon to the Remote Desktop session
Doubleclick the profile to start the Remote Desktop session.
