Kasabian holds an MA in English Literature from Boston College and is constantly expanding her research on the ways in which historical signage and traditional arts inform the culture of our day. INNER LEFT FOLD > < FOLD Signs have existed for millennia, but the current tradition of sign painting as a lettering art has only been practiced for little more than 200 years. For her lecture at The Society of Printers on December 2nd, Kasabian will discuss the history of 18th century pictorial signs and how sign-regulating traditions begun in the 18th century continue to affect the way we navigate and judge our cities today.
