OVERVIEW
Renova Energy contracted with Halverson Company to design and build
a facility for storing and grinding dry corn to service their ethanol production facility.
The project included the installation of a high capacity receiving system
utilizing a 20,000 BPH receiving drag conveyor and 20,000 BPH bucket
elevator. The project also required the design, fabrication and installation of
the supporting towers and catwalks. Halverson also provided all concrete
work for the two 72’ bins which were installed with above ground 6x6
tunnels. The reclaim system utilized drag conveyors and bucket elevators
and was designed to match the input requirements of the ethanol plant. The
hammermill systems included the installation of a 200HP hammermill with
Kice air assist baghouse, plenum and fan.
