2012 Show Review 1,310 exhibitors 16 countries / regions 22% from previous edition 50,000 sqm of trade space Hall 1: Suiting’s, Ladieswear, Functional and Sportswear (Domestic Hall) Halls 2, 3, 4: International Halls Country / Regions Pavilions Germany Italy Japan Korea Pakistan Portugal Taiwan, China In halls 2 and 3, SalonEurope attracted more than 150 premium apparel fabrics and accessory companies from Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UK. debut Milano Unica Pavilion grouped 95 companies, who displayed the finest quality fabrics such as prints, silk, cotton, and wools for ladieswear and menswear. The “Made in Italy” products attracted more than 2,000 VIP buyers, while a majority of them came from mainland China. • The Hall 5: Accessories Hall (Domestic & International) Halls 6 & 7: Casual wear fabrics (Domestic Halls) Hall 8: Ladieswear fabrics (Domestic Hall) the first time, a new Portugal Pavilion displayed a variety of raw materials and end products all made 100% in Portugal. Cotton and denim fabric specialists featured special use of colour moderation and repeat patterns suitable for ladieswear, causal wear and children wear. • 92% SalonEurope exhibitors were happy with the quality of domestic and international buyers on-site. • For Accessories Hall 5, grouped 137 accessory suppliers showcasing buttons, cords, interlining, threads, tapes, zippers and many more items. International Halls 3 & 4 • The Japan Zone presented 11 suppliers selection of top quality ladieswear and menswear fabrics. • Nearly 60 suppliers at the Korea Pavilion displayed a great variety of functional fabrics suitable for casualwear, ladieswear and sportswear. • Both the Pakistan Pavilion and Taiwan China Pavilion presented an array of cotton, denim and polyesters. • A number of new exhibitors from India introduced their range of lace and embroidery. • Other exhibitors from Australia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore showcased a several different types of natural, manmade and recycled fibres. Over 26, 000 buyers 78 countries / regions 5% from previous edition Anta, Bosideng, K-boxing, Saint Angelo, Septwolves, Toread, Vancl and Vero Moda were among some of the popular attending domestic brands while Burberry, Kenneth Cole, Li & Fung, Prada, Tory Burch and Zara were among some of the well-known international buyers.
