Olympic Games
It’s time to start thinking
about forming your teams for our Olympic
Games!
As cold and flu season approaches….
What are the Olympics Games?
Here are a few suggestions to prevent catching and spreading cold and flu viruses.
Each year we form Olympic Teams to play
specially designed games.
Importantly, if you are not feeling well, aching, under the weather, feverish, coughing,
sniffling, sneezing, you could have a cold or
the flu. Please stop in to see our nurse, Maria, in the Wellness Center on the 2nd floor.
Please take a few days to stay home, rest
well, and stay properly hydrated and nourished. You will give your body the rest it
needs to recover and help to stop the spread
of the virus among your neighbors, friends,
family and tablemates.

All teams must have a minimum of four
members and if you choose, you may have
one alternate member. This will help other
residents who are looking for members to
join their teams. The more teams we have
the better!

Two games are set-up in the MPR for
teams to compete at the same time.

One-at-a-time each team member will play
until all four members have played each
game.

All teams will play both games.

Scores are kept until the end of the year.

We will have a banquet where the top
three teams are awarded their Gold, Silver,
and Bronze Medals.
-Avoid shaking hands.
-Wash hands thoroughly and frequently. Use an antibacterial or dish
washing liquid soap.
-When sneezing or coughing, please
cover your nose and mouth with clean
handkerchiefs or new tissues, and dispose of promptly and properly.
-Clean and wipe all surfaces with a
disinfectant cleaner.
For the well being of all residents, please ask
family, friends or other visitors who are experiencing cold or flu symptoms to please
postpone their visit until they are well.
We wish you good health!
2
All interested residents should attend this
meeting to ask questions and meet with the
other residents that are interested in forming a
team.

They are going crazy over coloring and some
psychologists say the simple act of staying in

focus and creativity.
Here are some dates that are set aside
for those who may want to color together. Colored pencils and markers
will be available for you to use along
with multiple pages for you to

Veterans Day Program
Many Americans mistakenly believe that Veterans Day is the day America
sets aside to honor American military personnel who died in battle or as a result of wounds
sustained from combat. That's not quite true.
Memorial Day is the day set aside to honor
America's lost soldiers.
Veterans Day, on the other hand, honors A LL
American veterans, both living and those who
have died. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIV ING veterans for dedicated and loyal service to their country. November 11th of each year is the day that we ensure veterans know that we deeply appreciate
the sacrifices they have made to keep our
country free.
Join us as we come together in remembrance
of our Veterans.

Dausey, from Wheaton Bible Church, will

This book is about who angels are, how they
help, and what the Bible reveals. People have
long been fascinated by stories of angel sightings, yet many contemporary beliefs about angels are based on misconception and myth.
The author uses Scripture to unveil the remarkable truth about these agents of heaven
and their role and work in our world.

Thanksgiving Trivia
How many Turkeys Can
you Find?
The Pilgrims wanted to cook
turkey for a Thanksgiving Meal with the
local Indian Tribe. The Pilgrims set out
to hunt the turkeys for their meal.
Count how many Turkeys you can find
hidden in this newsletter.
Before the Pilgrims could get all the
turkeys back to camp, half of them got
away. The Pilgrims decided that 3 of
the turkeys were to small to eat so they
let them go.
How many turkeys did the Pilgrims
bring back for the Thanksgiving Meal?
If you have the correct answer, you will
receive $3.00 in Fun Money Dollars.
Thanksgiving Dinner
21 Pilgrims decided to have a Turkey
for their Thanksgiving Dinner. The
menu would include; oven roasted turkey,
baked potatoes and pumpkin pie. 11 men went
into the forest to hunt for wild turkey leaving
the women behind to prepare the Thanksgiving
Dinner.
2 Pilgrims fell into quicksand and 2 more Pilgrims tried to save them, but also fell in never
to be seen again. 1 Pilgrim ran into a tree and
knocked himself out, while 4 more Pilgrims got
trampled by Buffalo. The remaining men returned with the turkey, to give to the women to
prepare for dinner.
After a long day of hunting Turkey, how many
Pilgrims did it take to prepare Thanksgiving
Dinner?

Leslie Goddard Portrays Jackie Kennedy
It is 1964, and former First Lady Jacqueline
Kennedy is besieged by sightseers around her
house in Georgetown. As she deliberates what
to do next, she shares the story of her life in
the White House, including her struggle to retain her family’s privacy in the face of media
onslaughts, her restoration work, and her attempts to showcase the arts. In a climactic revelation, she recounts her husband’s death and
comes to a heartfelt decision about how to
begin a new life for herself and her children.
The Bensenville Library welcomes Leslie
Goddard and her first-person portrayal of one
of America’s most iconic first ladies.
Bensenville Movie Theatre
Rosewater
In 2009, London-based Iranian-Canadian
journalist Mazier Bahari is detained in Iran
after he reports on violence against protesters
of the country’s presidential election, as well
as giving a satirical interview with Jason
Jones of the Daily Show. While his pregnant
fiancée waits for him, Bahari spends 118 days
at Evin Prison being brutally interrogated.
Bahari is usually blindfolded while being interrogated, and his interrogator’s sole distinguishing feature is that he smells of rosewater.
