Poultry Club National ChaMpionship Show 2012 Patron H.R.H. The Prince of Wales Registered Charity No. 298415 THE POULTRY CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN 17th and 18th November Stoneleigh Park Warwickshire CV8 2LZ Schedule Entries to be submitted by 4th October 2012 In association with THE NATIONAL SHOW 2012 The coveted Isherwood Perpetual Trophy for Supreme Champion (photo by Chris Parker) FROM THE PRESIDENT It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Poultry Club of Great Britain, to introduce the Schedule of Classes for the 2012 National Show. This year is the 40th event in the long running series of National Shows and I am delighted to write that both new exhibition halls, used for the first time last year, are to be used once again. Thus we shall have all the extra room available which helped to make last year’s event the most successful National ever staged. I believe we all can be justly proud of our National Show and already I have heard of several fanciers from abroad who intend to travel long distances to be present. It has been a great privilege to be a part of the team that has overseen recent improvements and we are indebted to all our National sub-committee and backroom staff for their countless hours of freely given time. The theme of generosity of volunteers expressed in the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games is just as relevant in the planning of our National and any extra help is more than welcome, for all our volunteers in the past have contributed enormously to the success of the event. This schedule contains details of several events including the Hen Hut Lecture Theatre, which is to be held in a larger venue, the Saturday evening dinner and social, the A.G.M. of the Poultry Club, the Ecumenical Service of Worship, the show timetable, car parking and accommodation, but most of all there are classes for every known breed kept in Britain. In addition numerous special prizes and trophies are offered and a win at the National Show really does count, so the Council of the Poultry Club looks forward to welcoming you to an occasion that promises to be a memorable weekend.
