TRADE GO GUIDE PG15 general information Driving in New Zealand Industry Discounts Although New Zealand is a relatively small country and all roads are well maintained, journeys may take longer than expected as open roads often only have one lane in each direction and can be hilly, narrow or winding. The speed limit in New Zealand is 50km/h in built up areas and 100km/h on the open road and driving is done on the left hand side of the road. In general it is recommended to allow 1 hour to travel 60km-70km. Trade Partners are invited to travel with GO Rentals on their own personal holiday or familiarisation trip within New Zealand. Industry rates are available and vary depending on vehicle availability, time of the year and direction of travel. Fuel Costs GO Rentals recommends PriceWatch as a source of the most updated New Zealand fuel costs, listed by region and updated every 24 hours. www.pricewatch.co.nz. Payment may be made electronically or by cash at one of the self service kiosks located at each end of the road. Visit www.tollroad. govt.nz for full information.
