1 mile south of I-390 Wayland Exit #3, 3 miles south of
the Wayland Village Rte. 63-15-21 intersection; 16 miles

Operating dairy and potato farm here since 1948,
discontinuing dairying due to expansion in the potato
farming field. Selling will be:

A parlor trained herd consisting of 110 milking age females
with 25 first calf heifers just fresh in February and March!
20 cows are fresh since January and 14 head are due
April through June! A good herd of average size cows in
good flesh or “TMR” utilizing homegrown feeds. These
cattle are home raised and for all purposes a closed herd
except for purchased bulls and the last purchased cows
from the Fay Bennett herd auctions 15-20 years ago! The
cows are “A.I.” bred! Feet are trimmed on schedule and
the herd is on a regular pregnancy examination schedule.
NO BST used here! Cows are currently averaging 61 lbs.

HEIFERS: 22 bred heifers (heifers are bred natural service
with bull from True Farms, Perry, NY). 23 heifers are big
enough to go to the bull to join your breeding schedule.
There are 13 short yearlings and the balance from newborn
to about ten months old. Over the years, selected bulls

FEEDS ON HAND: (sell after cows and before heifers,
about middle of auction) Pit of haylage at Murphy farm;
Pit of haylage at home farm; Pit of corn ensilage at home
farm. NOTE: Haylage and ensilage are in concrete pits
with concrete floors, will be sampled just prior to auction
day and measured by an independent party for volume.
All pits are to be emptied by May 15, 2013.
