debt-free and maintains a multi-million dollar capital reserve.
In addition, the Club follows a fiscally responsible 5-year plan with
no foreseeable need for assessments in the future.

Berkeley Hall’s Rich History
Lord John Berkeley of Stratton, an English army officer and colonial proprietor
of the 17th Century, was one of seven original lords of the Carolina colonies.
Rewarded for his steadfast loyalty to the King of England and the royal family,
Berkeley (along with first cousin John Colleton) was granted extraordinary
powers to grant “title of honor” to hundreds of thousands of acres of land.
In January 1665, the lord proprietors issued a document to allow early
Carolina settlers self-government, freedom of religion and generous land
grants. Berkeley and other lords were entrusted with the “full and absolute
power” to determine the constitution and approbation of the provinces.
Lord Berkeley’s influence and leadership were instrumental in the export
of Sea Island cotton from Barbados and the Bahamas to the Carolinas.
The development of the cotton trade aided the settlement of Beaufort County,
where cotton was the primary crop. Because of the role Berkeley played in
the history of this part of South Carolina, the Berkeley family crest has been
adopted as the logo for Berkeley Hall and the Berkeley Hall Club.

36-Holes of Fazio “Core” Golf
Great golf is the very heart of Berkeley Hall, and golf in its purest form

golf” courses meander through an open coastal landscape framed by seaside

The North Course is a marvel of tranquil lakes, bold fairways,
challenging bunkers and large contoured Champion Bermudagrass greens.

features and strategically placed bunkers give the North Course an

Home of the Players Amateur
Berkeley Hall Club is also home to The Players Amateur
which showcases the top amateurs in the world each year.
The Players Amateur alumni have distinguished themselves
in the world of professional golf. More than 25 are now playing on the PGA
Tour, having earned over $46 million in prize money including: Matt Kucher,
Bill Haas, Ben Curtis, Dustin Johnson, Camilo Villegas, Rickie Fowler, Nick
Watney, Lucas Glover, Johnson Wagner, D.J. Trahan, Kyle Stanley and more.
Berkeley Hall Club is the only private golf community

The Learning Center
The Berkeley Hall Golf Learning Center is the crown jewel of the practice
facility - a product of experience, extensive research and brainstroming by a
panel of golf experts.
PGA Tour Players have called the 30-acre Learning Center and practice facility
one of the country’s best. The beautifully designed state-of-the-art center includes:

Award-Winning Instruction
Director of Golf Instruction, Andrew Rice, has coached many of the top amateur
and professional players in the world. Andrew is a former senior instructor at
the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and is also author of the golf training book
“It’s All About Impact.” Krista Dunton is the Senior Instructor at Berkeley Hall
Learning Center and is widely recognized as one of the best teachers in the
game. She is a former LPGA National Teacher of the Year and is listed as a “Top 100
Instructor” by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. Krista has also been named Carolina’s
PGA Teacher of the Year.

Clubhouse
Nothing better exemplifies the good life at Berkeley Hall than our
Jeffersionian-style Clubhouse. Overlooking the finishing holes of our
North Course, Berkeley Hall’s stately 45,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse features seven
(7) distinctive dining alternatives – casual fare to fine dining.
Spa & Fitness Center
Our spacious 15,000 sq. ft. Spa & Fitness Center offers state-of-the-art
facilities and fitness programs including: Cardio & Strength Equipment,
Aerobics Room, an Outdoor and Indoor Pool, Massage Therapy, Sauna and
Steam rooms, Tennis & Basketball Courts, Sand Volleyball, and a Spa Café with
Juice Bar. Director Doug Weary, a research pioneer in both the Physical Therapy
and Strength & Conditioning field, has been the exclusive trainer of many top
athletes & executives including Jack Nicklaus, Ivan Lendl and Jack Welch.
Exercise Physiologist Derek Lemire is a Titliest Performance Institute (TPI)
certified instructor educated in the latest in golf-specific health and fitness,
golf swing biomechanics, physical screening techniques, exercise prescriptions,
and the most recent research and development in the field of golf swing analysis.
The River Park
With more than one-mile of frontage along the pristine Okatie River
and 10-miles of nature trails throughout the community, Berkeley Hall
offers adventures on land and water. Take a sunset cruise on our 25-foot
pontoon boat, enjoy an interpretive kayak tour, or fish and crab from the
community dock. Finish your day with a shrimp boil or oyster roast at the
“fire pit”– a wonderful gathering place for family, friends and guests.
The Beach Club
The Sandy White Shores of Hilton Head are just minutes away and
we’ve got your private access. Berkeley Hall Members can beat the crowd

Resort & Spa - offering valet parking, beach towels and other beachside

oversees the exterior maintenance, landscaping and trash collection.

National Membership Plan { non-equity }
Berkeley Hall has recently announced a limited release of non-equity National Memberships.
Members and their guests enjoy the highest level of service and quality with access to
world-class facilities, not found in any other private community in the Lowcountry.
National Membership requires the applicants primary residence is beyond 75 miles of the
Club. Membership includes the heads of household and children under the age of 25 years.
Family membership includes 75 days of golf per year
Plus Participation in All Club tournaments
Plus Summer Reciprocal Program {May 30-September 1}
Members can play other Clubs in the program include Long Cove, Wexford, Colleton River,
Oldfield, Belfair, Secession CC, Chechessie Creek, The Club at Indigo Run, Old Tabby Links,
Sea Pines Country Club and Haig Point. Typical green & cart fees are $53.50/round.
Unlimited use of facilities that include: A 33-Acre Golf Practice and Learning Facility,
Spa & Fitness Center, River Park, and Clubhouse dining and social activities
Green fees for extended family are $35.00 plus $27.50 for the golf cart.
Full Guest Privileges with No Minimum Spending Requirements
An Initiation Fee of $5,000 has been waived for a limited time
