OUR BACKGROUND
Commencing operations in 1990, Westbury has grown from a small toner remanufacturer, servicing
end users, to a company with more than 30 full time staff with a focus on distributing the highest
quality products via resellers throughout Australia. Westbury is situated in the Melbourne suburb of
Dingley, and occupies a factory and warehouse with over 18,000sq feet of space.
Westbury supplies resellers both large and small, locally and nationally, with an extensive range
of remanufactured and compatible imaging products.

Westbury offers one of the most extensive ranges of remanufactured
laser cartridges in Australia. We remanufacture cartridges to suit
Apple, Brother, Canon, Epson, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Sharp,
Star and Xerox laser printers.
Our cartridges are sourced through our buy-back program and
are carefully checked before being approved for remanufacturing.
Each cartridge is completely disassembled, cleaned and checked
before being reassembled with new components and filled with
new toner. The toner and parts used in the remanufacturing
process are of the highest quality, to meet the needs of even the
most demanding office user. Cartridges are print tested prior to
final cleaning and packing. All remanufactured cartridges are
guaranteed to perform as effectively as any new branded cartridges

The process for remanufacturing laser cartridges to suit plain
paper faxes is the same as that for laser printer cartridges.
This enables Westbury to remanufacture laser fax cartridges

THE WESTBURY

PROCESS
TESTING
At Westbury, toner, drum and other component combinations are thoroughly tested for
both print quality and page yield. We offer guarantees that our cartridges will perform as well
as original cartridges so we are constantly monitoring and testing our products to ensure that
they are of the highest possible quality.
We are also doing a lot of testing and experimenting with colour toner and other components
to discover solutions suitable for the new colour laser printers coming onto the market.
This market is rapidly growing and we see it being crucial to our long term ambitions in
the remanufacturing marketplace.
THE REMANUFACTURING PROCESS
Once in the Westbury factory, used cartridges are sorted according to their general condition
and whether or not they have been previously remanufactured. Each cartridge is then completely
disassembled and cleaned. All components are checked and, if necessary, replaced. In some
ranges certain components are always replaced with brand new components
Cartridges are filled with high quality toner specific to the cartridge type being remanufactured.
All of the cartridges are print tested before packing and the original manufacturer’s labels and
trademarks are either removed or covered. Final cleaning and buffing of the cartridges occurs
next, to achieve the best looking end product. Finally, cartridges are packed into the appropriate
boxes as requested by our customers.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
By remanufacturing toner cartridges Westbury is significantly reducing the amount
of waste going into landfill. At the same time we are reducing the amount of oil and
other raw materials required to be used when making brand new cartridges. Westbury
disposes of the small amount of waste generated in the remanufacturing process in
an environmentally responsible manner. Examples of this are that all waste cardboard
is sent to Visy recycling and all waste toner is disposed of in a manner approved of
by the Environmental Protection Authority.
At Westbury we are serious about protecting our workers within their working environment.
Whilst working on cartridges all of our employees are supplied with full-face masks,
specially equipped to have a constant flow of clean filtered air blowing through.

AND DEVELOPMENT
INDUSTRY RESEARCH
Westbury has an entire area solely dedicated to
research and development. We see the growth
of this area as being crucial to the future survival
and positioning of our company. Currently Westbury
is involved in a variety of research projects to
develop new products and equipment for this
rapidly changing industry.
Westbury has it’s own printer service and repair
division. This area of the business was created
in 1998 in order to back up the products
manufactured and sold by Westbury. Westbury’s
remanufacturing division is kept abreast of
product performance by our service technicians.
All knowledge gained from the field is applied
back into our remanufacturing process which
means we have first hand experience of how
our products are performing. In the event of a
problem we can address it immediately with our
own service department.
New toners and components are constantly
made available to the remanufacturing industry,
Westbury remains at the forefront of product
testing, to ensure any new product or process will
meet our exacting standards before being used.

As part of our ongoing research and development,
Westbury has assembled a team of highly skilled
designers and engineers who are constantly
designing, building and upgrading our remanufacturing equipment and processes. This ensures

product varies depending on

who can make use of them. Westbury picks up
used cartridges from both resellers and end users

Westbury not only remanufactures toner
cartridges - we also offer a team of service
and repair technicians constantly on the
road, whose sole job is to service and repair
laser printers. Our laser printer servicing
consists of contracted maintenance programs
or one-off emergency call outs, depending
on our customer’s needs. We are able to offer
packages to your customers that involve
a total package including toner and all
maintenance and repairs of their printers.
All Westbury products are readily stocked in our
warehouse, allowing for efficient same day shipping and next day delivery to most cities and
regional centres around Australia. Once leaving
our warehouse all shipments can be tracked
