Gyeong-Bok-Gung Palace
Miso : Bae Bi Jang – Jeon
A satirical novel which was written by an unknown author in the
late Joseon Dynasty. Humor stands out vividly as it evokes laughter
by alluding to the hypocrisy of the ruling class and natural human
desires.
It was built in 1395, three years after the Joseon Dynasty was founded. The
Palace was named Gyeong-Bok-Gung Palace, which means the "Palace Greatly
Blessed by Heaven."
With Mount Bugaksan to its rear and Mount Namsan in the foreground, the
site of Gyeong-Bok-Gung Palace was at the heart of Seoul. Today, the palace is
regarded as the most beautiful and biggest palace in Seoul.
