You have many choices.
What Sets Our Camp Apart?
Appreciation: From the registration process to the last dribble, we want to show you and your players our
appreciation for your choice of our camp. We pledge to you that we will run our camp to the highest level of
efficiency in terms of organization and communication as possible.
Fun: Camp has to be fun. We strive to build an atmosphere that is friendly and full of activities that both
coaches and players will enjoy. We like to see smiles at our camps.
Productive: We work hard at hiring the best officials possible and building a competitive schedule for your
team. Our camp is no different than your team; we never stay the same, we are either working hard to
improve or we are regressing. This will be our 23rd year of running camps and we intend for it to be the best
we have ever run.
Camp Philosophy: We began the Licking Summer Camps 23 years ago because we as coaches were tired of
paying what we thought were outrageous fees to college coaches for camps that were poorly run. We felt we
could do a better job at a much lower price. Now, twenty-three years later, we still feel the same. Our camp is
designed to provide you and your players an inexpensive, organized and competitive setting for off-season
improvement. We work hard to schedule you against teams of equal ability. It does a team no good to come
to a summer camp and win every game easily, nor is it a benefit to your teams’ development to lose every
game by a wide margin.

THE FUN
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who will we play?
A: We use several factors in building the camp schedule. First, we attempt to match your team against opponents of
equal ability. Next, we schedule you against teams who you normally do not see during the regular season. And finally,
we allow teams traveling the greatest distance to play later on Day 1, while teams who are commuting to and from
camp on Day 1; we have finish earlier in the day.
Q: What is the entry fee.
A: $295 for two day camps, 7 to 9 matches; $395 for three day camps, per team for 9 to 11 matches
Q: Can we bring more than one team?
A: Yes, and we encourage schools to do so by providing a multi-team discount coupons and by scheduling your teams
to play at the same locations and during similar times.
Q: Do you have a separate division for junior varsity and junior high teams?
A: No. We have found it to be more convenient for you if we do not. It is easier to keep all of your teams together.
Many of the smaller schools are very competitive with some of the larger schools’ sub varsity teams. The tournament
is bracketed by ability and your younger teams will be put in divisions where they are competitive.
Q: Is one camp better for a small school to attend?
A. All camps are of about the same level of talent. We are confident that we can arrange a competitive schedule for
your team.
Q: Can this camp serve as a team bonding experience?
A: Absolutely, and we encourage you to treat it as such. This is an inexpensive way for your team to bond in a
competitive, fun-filled way.
Q: What types of activities are available?
A: At our Rolla camps, we host a swim party for all the players and coaches. This is a good way for your players to meet
kids from other schools and for coaches to socialize. Also, many teams in the past have taken advantage of this area’s
many fine floating streams by staying over on Saturday night and participating in a team float trip on Sunday. We can
secure for you a special rate with one of the area’s many outfitters, if you so desire.
Q: How do I know this camp will be as good of an experience as you say?
A: Talk to any of the coaches who have attended in the past. If any of them tell you this is not a good camp, then don’t
come. We are confident that the feedback you receive will be positive. There is a reason why over 900 of your fellow
coaches decided to attend last summer.
Q: How will we get our schedules?
A: All of our schedules and coaches’ packets are posted online approximately 5 days before camp. With camps as large
as ours, there will obviously be constant changes to the schedules. Coaches have the convenience of the World Wide
Web in checking scheduling updates. Your coach’s online packet will contain all of the information you need;
schedules directions, rules and other camp information. www.lickingcamps.com will provide you with all of the camp
communication needed.
Q: At what time would we play on the first day?
A: It depends on how far you have to travel. Teams traveling a great distance have the option of arriving the evening
before camp and playing early on day 1, the advantage being that they will also be finished early on day 1; or you can
travel on the first morning and not play until the afternoon.
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: Call or e-mail anytime. 636-232-4688 or dave@likcingcamps.com
www.lickngcamps.com
Our Goal: for you to walk out of the gym
saying that our camp is not only the most
economical you have ever attended, but also
the best. If you have a problem, please bring
it to my attention and it will be fixed to your
satisfaction. We want you to know that your
choice of our camp is appreciated. We want
you to enjoy your experience in our
community and we will do whatever it takes
to make that a reality. Dave Almany

We are often asked, “what makes your camps so
successful and large?” The answer is very simple: our
staff. We have been together for years and we work
together very well. Everyone does their job and takes
pride in seeing that it is done in a professional manner. If
you have a problem at our camp and bring it to our camp
staff’s attention, you will have your problem resolved to
your satisfaction. We would appreciate being made a part
of your summer program and our effort level will reflect
that appreciation. We guarantee it.

Purpose of the Rolla/Branson Inclusive Program
We started the Inclusive program in Branson and Rolla for two main reasons: first, to hold down lodging and
meal costs for our participating teams and second, to make sure the quality of service our teams were
receiving was of the highest standards.
We were having serious issues in Rolla with motels up to doubling their normal rates on nights we held camp
knowing we would fill the town with our campers. In Branson, the problem was that there are many low rate
motels in Branson but some are not the type you want to house high school girls in. I have personally stayed in
each of our endorsed motels in Branson and found the service up to expected standards, if not above.
The savings exceed the entry fee so It is like you are coming to camp free.
We have worked very hard to secure these low rates. Our goal was to save each player $40, a total that if
you have 10 athletes on your roster would cover your entry fee ($395). So, it is like you are coming to camp
free. We are pleased to announce that this year’s inclusive package exceeds that goal and will save each
player $50 off what they would pay for menu price at the participating restaurants and walk up rate at the
motels. AND THE COACH STAYS FREE. You will not beat these rates.
This program is only an option and you are free to make your own reservations. We fill up quick at these rates
and once we have booked all of the rooms we have secured at these low rates, you will need to make your
own arrangements.
If you choose the inclusive plan, we will call you to go over your specific needs and calculate the cheapest way
to facilitate your team’s needs.
And finally, you ask what is in it for us? We run the inclusive program with a break even goal. We survive on
entry fees. The cheaper the cost and the better the experience, the more teams come to camp.

ROLLA FLOAT TRIP OPTIONS
The Water Park and Fugitive Beach are included in the Inclusive Package for Rolla and are scheduled in the three-day camp. If you
want to come in a day early or stay over a day and add a float trip as well, we can do that for you. There are many canoe
outfitters in the Rolla area. Most do a great job, however; several of our teams have had less than satisfactory experiences. To
guarantee satisfaction, we can make the arrangements for you with outfitters we have screened for quality and dependability. We
can secure for you a special low rate of $20 (lowest in the area) and can make arrangements for a team meal at the completion of
your float. The float we recommend will take 4-6 hours and will be on a “less populated” and “slower” part of the river, thus safer
and more relaxing. See our website: www.lickingcamps.com or Call 636-232-4688 for more details or to make your reservations.
