3rd Annual Gingerbread House Contest
3rd Annual Gingerbread House Contest The Gingerbread Man is Looking for a New House... ...Could Yours be the One He Chooses?? To celebrate the holidays this December, we are inviting you to participate in the 3rd Annual Gingerbread House Contest sponsored by the Littleton Food Co-op and Chutters judged by customer voting beginning at noon on December 14th. This year our theme is “Gingerbread Chalet.” Can you create a chalet for a Gingerbread family to grow old together in? So preheat the oven, gather your creative thoughts and supplies and deliver your fun and festive gingerbread house on Saturday December 14th between 8:00 am and noon. Customers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite entry displayed at the Littleton Food Co-op starting at noon on Saturday and continuing until 8:00 pm Sunday evening. You may pick up your house Monday, December 16th. • You may work individually or as a group. Gingerbread houses will be judged in three categories: Little Elf (12 and Under) or Gingerbread Pro (Adult). • You can use a pre-made kit available at Chutters, or you can make your own “house” completely from scratch if you choose. Your “house” doesn’t have to be made of gingerbread. Decorate your creation with anything you like – the ingredients need to be edible. If you wouldn’t eat it – don’t use it! • Feel free to interpret “house” as loosely as you want to (it should however resemble a structure of some nature but imagination and creativity are greatly encouraged). • All houses must be turned in with an entry form between 8 am and 12 pm on Saturday, December 14th. • Winners will be announced Monday, December 16th! Prizes will be awarded for each place with a combination gift basket from Chutters & the Littleton Food Co-op. To register to participate in the 1st Annual Gingerbread House Making Contest sponsored by the Littleton Food Co-op and Chutters, pick up your form at either location!* *Entry form also available in the Littleton Co-op Newsletter and on the Facebook page
