Mitten and Toede reflected back upon 13 years of developing relationships with classmates, from naptime in Kindergarten to working together on homecoming activities. Schmit likened the process of building one’s life to a Legos project… figuring out where the pieces go and changes that can occur along the way. “We will always be a model that is still in construction, just like that brand new Lego set that morphs into something new and magnificent,” he said. Foster offered a recipe for success that included being prompt, utilizing resources and having a goal. “If you have a goal, opportunity will come a-knockin’,” he remarked. “ In the words of Milton Berle – if opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” Rindo remarked that the graduates have gone through a short history that has seen remarkable advances in technology.
