working coffee plantations. Characterized by plantation-style home comfort and luxurious
guest amenities, Arusha Coffee Lodges’ Plantation Suites are a haven for calm and composure before or after a safari.
SkySafari guests’ stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge will be on an all-inclusive basis. On arrival
at the Lodge our guests receive a warm and friendly greeting and immediately sample a cool
and refreshing coffee-infused welcome drink. All SkySafari guests receive an immediate
room upgrade to one of the luxurious Plantation Suites that lie surrounded by the ever-present coffee trees of the plantation. Both dinner and breakfast can be taken in your
Plantation Suite or enjoyed in the Plantation Lodge House in either the Plantation Restaurant, the Coffee Lodge Garden, or the Bar.
Day 2: The Safari takes to the Air
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, all our SkySafari guests are invited, should they so
wish, to take a fascinating ‘Bean-to-Cup’ Walking Tour around the coffee estate to learn
how the humble coffee bean is grown, harvested, processed and eventually ends up in
your morning cup of coffee. Following this optional tour you will once again return to
enjoy a light lunch at the Lodge, after which our SkySafari guests will be chauffeured
the short one-mile journey to the Arusha airstrip where the Executive SkySafari Cessna
Grand Caravan awaits.
Arusha to Tarangire – The Safari Takes to the Air
Fast-tracked into the airport, you will be greeted by your SkySafari Pilot who will invite
you aboard our Executive SkySafari Cessna Grand Caravan and take you on a short
but enjoyable 20-minute flight to the Tarangire National Park. From the air you will be
treated to an exceptional and rare view of the shapes and colours of the landscape below
and, as the bush draws near, begin to spy the wealth of wildlife that awaits in Tarangire.
Tarangire – The Ancient Land of the Elephant
On landing at Tarangire airstrip, our SkySafari Guests are met by the Tarangire Treetops
Guide and a ‘special’ SkySafari welcome in the form of a finger buffet, soft drinks and
chilled sparkling wine is provided to all. The transfer to Tarangire Treetops includes a
fascinating game-drive through the famed Tarangire National Park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. Tarangire is a dramatically beautiful and
diverse eco system, boasting one of the largest concentrations of elephant in East Africa.
These mobs of elephant are easily encountered, wet or dry. The swamps, tinged green
year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the most breeding species in one habitat
anywhere in the world.
SkySafari Package by Elewana Collection
A Traditional Maasai Boma Dinner
Dinner on the first evening is taken within a traditional Maasai boma. This evening will introduce our guests not only to traditional African fare prepared by the Executive Chef and
his team, but also to the sights and sounds of the Maasai who visit the Boma to entertain all the
guests with songs and dances that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Day 3: The Land, Elephants and Masai
Walking Safari
For the more adventurous of our SkySafari guests, The walking safari is most of the time offered in the afternoon, sometimes in the morning (depending on weather). After breakfast enjoy
a visit to a traditional Masai ‘Manyatta’ etc. Lunch will be enjoyed at the lodge. The afternoon
is spent on a game drive, a walking safari, sundowners and an exciting night game drive on the
way back to Treetops. For others the desire to laze in bed whilst looking out across the treetops
of Tarangire is also too difficult to give up. However after a relaxing and hearty breakfast, all
our SkySafari guests are invited to enjoy a game drive in Tarangire followed by a Bush Luncheon at a pecially selected site. Dining in the Bush The site for this Bush Luncheon is carefully
located to optimize the experience of visiting this beautiful and stunning landscape. It is here
where the Tarangire Executive Chef once again demonstrates the hospitality for which the Elewana Collection is renowned. During the day it is also possible to visit the Maasai Village and
sample the genuine warmth of the local indigenous people. With some members of the village
working within the Treetops Lodge, any visit from our SkySafari guests is indeed a heartwarming and welcoming experience.
Spectacular Sunset Cocktails in The Bush
On arrival back to the Tarangire Treetops Lodge and after a short rest, our SkySafari guests are
invited to sample the true drama and beauty of an African sunset. After a short 25-minute drive,
our vehicles climb the few hundred feet up a hilly outcrop of granite, quartz and mica, known
as Sunset Hill. Here our SkySafari guests will enjoy a Sundowner Cocktail whilst the
sunsets over the distant but shimmering Lake Manyara. And as the dying sun creates a
rich palette of reds and oranges, thousands of stars begin their nightly efforts to illuminate the darkening landscape.
The Sights and Sounds of a Night Game Drive
As night draws in, our SkySafari guests then begin a Night Game Drive as part of their
journey back to the distant glowing lights of Tarangire Treetops. On the return to Treetops and as preparations are made for dinner, some of the resident animals are also arriving from the bush to sip their evening beverage from the ever present Treetops waterhole
that lies less than 50 metres from the main lodge.
Day 4: From Tarangire to Ngorongoro
Departure to Ngorongoro Across The Great Rift Valley
After yet another filling breakfast, our SkySafari guests are taken on one more morning
game-drive through the Tarangire National Park. Stopping at leisure for a picnic lunch
on your way to Kuro airstrip, our SkySafari guests will then once again meet up with the
SkySafari Executive Cessna Grand Caravan to fly the short distance to Manyara airstrip
where our Elewana Guide will be eagerly waiting to provide a warm welcome to each
of our SkySafari guests. Following a short but comfortable transfer to The Manor at
Ngorongoro, high tea awaits at this beautiful and magnificent home- style lodge set in a
lush and verdant Arabica coffee plantation.
High Tea in an Opulent Setting
Warmly greeted by the managers of The Manor, and having enjoyed The Manor’s special
‘High Tea’, our SkySafari guests will be invited their very own Manor Cottage to unpack, unwind and relax before being invited back to the Main House for evening dinner.
SkySafari Package by Elewana Collection
And for those who wish to explore, the swimming pool, spa, games room and stables await
discovery.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Full Day in The Crater
After an early but delicious breakfast, our SkySafari guests will be invited to travel to what
undoubtedly is one of the ‘Natural Wonders of the World’ – The Ngorongoro Crater. Filmed and
documented by naturalists from the four corners of the earth, The Ngorongoro Crater, the largest ‘dry’ caldera of its kind, is home to almost all the animals that you would wish to see in East
Africa. Large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn,
the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dewladen grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai tribesmen herd their
cattle and goats over green pastures through the highland slopes, living alongside the wildlife as
they have for centuries.
A Luncheon to Remember
Luncheon is served in the Crater under an awning of one of our SkySafari vehicles in a campaign-style luncheon. This spectacular setting at times belies belief. Whilst the resident hippos
enjoy their daily bathe, and herds of zebra and wildebeest keep a wary eye out for any number
of predators, our Skysafari guests can sit and watch this ‘live’ show whilst enjoying the very
best picnic luncheon that The Manor can offer.
Your Choice of Manor Dining
Following this exciting full day in the Ngorongoro Crater, our SkySafari guests are then transferred back to The Manor where preparations will already be underway for the evening meal.
Private dining options are available at The Manor on request. These include dining under the
stars, room service or a private dining room ideal for couples and honeymooners.
Day 6: From Ngorongoro to the Serengeti
Morning at The Manor - A Haven of Tranquility
On the morning of day six our SkySafari guests are given the option of either visiting
Lake Manyara National Park, located at the steppe of the Rift Valley, or to stay at The
Manor to explore the estate and choose from a host of activities. These activities include
horse riding, mountain biking, massage treatments, or simply walking around the beautiful and sensuous gardens whilst contemplating the journey to come. After luncheon at
The Manor, our SkySafari guests will be driven to the Manyara airstrip to meet up with
the SkySafari Cessna Caravan once more for the onward 45-minute flight to the worldrenowned National Park of the Serengeti.
From Ngorongoro to The Serengeti - Flying Over The Vast Plains
Following this 45-minute scenic flight, a Serengeti Migration Camp Guide will meet and
greet all our SkySafari guests in the now customary fashion. Once again a ‘special’ welcome, including finger buffet, soft drinks and sparkling wine will be offered, after which
a transfer to Serengeti Migration Camp will begin, arriving in time for Sundowners on an
elevated wooden terrace overlooking the distant Ndasiata Hills, all by the warming glow
of an open fire. Spending two nights at Serengeti Migration Camp, our SkySafari guests
will not only enjoy the luxuriant tented accommodation but also the drama and beauty
of the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife – and for most of the year the amazing sight of the
annual migration.
The Serengeti - Magnificence Beyond Belief
A million wildebeest... each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role
in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating;
survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters
on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.
SkySafari Package by Elewana Collection
Day 7: The Serengeti
Breakfast is served at the Main Camp Tent on one of the three terrace balconies over looking
the Grumeti and the hills beyond. Mingling with the Migration Post breakfast game drives are
then the order of the day and these are either full-day game drives with picnic lunches provided,
or half-day game drives with lunch provided back at the Serengeti Migration Camp. The length
of the drive depends on the season and the proximity to the Camp of the annual migratory
animals. However the beauty of Serengeti Migration Camp often draws SkySafari guests to
spend at least one afternoon within the Camp, either relaxing on their 360 degree verandah that
embraces each private tent, or simply sitting atop one of the three terraces watching the wildlife
walk past and often through the Camp
Dining Under Canvas or Under The Stars
Dining at Serengeti Migration Camp can either be in the Main Camp Restaurant or our SkySafari guests can choose to dine in more private and intimate surroundings under the stars or under canvas back in the privacy of their own tent. Each meal is prepared by the Executive Head
Chef and to our guests’ taste. As the night sets in and the nocturnal animals begin their nightly
activities, the Camp yet again becomes alive with sounds if not the sights of Serengeti.
Day 8: Serengeti to Arusha
Visiting the Hippos on the Grumeti
Following a hearty and healthy breakfast, our SkySafari guests are enticed by the opportunity
to venture out on a walking safari along the banks of the Grumeti River with one of the highly
knowledgeable guides.
Serengeti to Arusha
After a leisurely lunch, our SkySafari guests once again take to the road for a game drive enroute to the Lobo airstrip for the onward flight to Arusha.
During this 50-minute flight, you will be able to see, from the air, the ever-changing
landscape of the bush and the mountainous topography that reminds all who see it of
Tanzania’s violent geological past. On arrival at Arusha airstrip, our SkySafari guests
will be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge and will either be offered a day room to relax
and freshen up before leaving for their onward flight or to be checked into a Plantation
Suite for one final night of relaxation before flying out from Kilimanjaro the next day.
Departure
An additional night at Arusha Coffee Lodge is not included in the SkySafari package and
will be charged as extra.

Onsea House is located just outside the town of Arusha. Situated between Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha town, it is perfectly positioned for the first stop of your holiday after a long
flight into Tanzania. Spread out over two levels, Onsea House has the feeling of a private
home instead of a boutique hotel. Owner managed, and with a reputation of culinary excellence, Onsea House provides the perfect start or finish to any safari experience.
Overnight Onsea House
Day 2:
After breakfast, depart with your Asilia driver through Arusha town and to Arusha Airport.
Connect with your Air Excel flight to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. On arrival at
Kuro, you will be met by a guide from Oliver’s Camp. A welcome table will be set up either
at the airstrip or a short distance away, with tea & coffee, cold drinks and snacks allowing
you to refresh while your guide briefs you on the surrounding area. A short game drive takes
you into Oliver’s Camp.
10 Days Best of Asilia Package
Oliver’s Camp is located in what is no doubt the most spectacular location in the park close to the
animal dense Silale Swamps. Overlooking a flood plain of the Minyonyo Pools, part of the Tarangire
River, the camp has a spectacular view and easy access to a dense concentration of wildlife. Consisting of only ten beautifully appointed, spacious tents, intimacy is ensured. A world-class team of staff
completes an experience that guests consistently rank amongst their best, and most inspiring of all time.
After lunch, there will be a chance to relax and settle in to your new surroundings, before heading
into the bush for an afternoon game drive. As sunset approaches, the game drive slows to a halt in the
perfect location to enjoy a cold drink as the day draws to a close. As darkness descends, head back out
for a night game drive. A spotter with a powerful night-light sweeps the ground and the trees looking
for the telltale reflective glow of eyes in the darkness.
Overnight Oliver’s Camp
Day 3:
Strike out into the bush on foot this morning. A walking safari offers you the opportunity to focus on
the smaller details and ecosystems of the bush while at the same time achieving the thrill of stalking
larger game on foot.
After lunch in camp, there is a chance to relax before an afternoon game drive takes you towards the
swamps and in search of some big game.
Overnight Oliver’s Camp
Day 4:
After breakfast, pack your bags and transfer to Kuro Airstrip for your Air Excel flight to Manyara.
On arrival at Lake Manyara Airstrip you will be met by an Asilia driver guide and transferred to Lake
Manyara National Park.
One of the smaller parks in Tanzania, Lake Manyara offers a microcosm of the safari
experience to be found in Tanzania. The diverse landscape includes lush ground water
forest hosting baboons, monkeys and canopy dwelling birdlife. Grassy floodplains play
home to larger mammals like buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. Inland one might
find the famous tree climbing lions and herds of elephant. In addition to the wildlife, over
400 species of birds have been recorded within the park.
In the afternoon, make your way up the steep Rift Valley escarpment, into the small town
of Karatu and up to Plantation Lodge. After checking in, enjoy a refreshing swim or relax
under the trees in the beautiful garden.
Plantation Lodge is located on a 45-acre working coffee plantation, just outside the
town of Karatu. The rooms are in small white cottages dotted around the well-kept
gardens, where there is also a peaceful pool area with great views over the Ngorongoro
Highlands. Each of the rooms is individually decorated in a traditional safari feel with
a contemporary twist and features a sitting room with fireplace, private veranda and en
suite facilities. The food and service is very good and most of the produce used to create
the meals is from the extensive farm gardens. For those wanting to visit the Crater during
the day, but to get away from the crowds at night, the lodge offers very good value in a
beautiful setting.
Overnight Plantation Lodge
Day 5:
An early start to the day is best in order to avoid the later influx of tourists into the
Ngorongoro Crater. The park gate opens at 0600, so it is best to be there as close to this
time as possible.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a large, unbroken, un-flooded caldera, formed when a giant
10 Days Best of Asilia Package
volcano erupted and collapsed some three million years ago. Had it not become a caldera, it is
possible that the volcanic mountain would be about the same height as Kilimanjaro. Down on
the crater floor there is an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, wildebeest, zebra and
eland. There are a number of lion, which are typically larger in size than an average lion due the
large amount of game in the area. The crater floor tends to get very busy, with there often being
numerous vehicles at any wildlife sighting.
Enjoy a packed lunch under the trees on the crater floor, but keep an eye out for the monkeys,
which are always keen to take advantage of an opportunistic moment. In the afternoon, drive up
and out of the crater, and back down the road towards Karatu. Spend the afternoon in the pool,
schedule a massage, or catch up on some reading under the trees.
Overnight Plantation Lodge
Day 6:
After an early breakfast, depart from Plantation Lodge making your way to Manyara Airstrip.
Here you say farewell to your Asilia driver guide and connect with your Regional Air flight to
Seronera Airstrip in the Central Serengeti. On arrival at Seronera you will be met by a resident
guide from Dunia Camp. A welcome table will be set up either at the airstrip or a short distance
away, with tea & coffee, cold drinks and snacks allowing you to refresh while your guide briefs
you on the surrounding area. Depending on your preference, you may enjoy a short game drive
or head directly for camp.
After lunch, there is time to unwind and relax before heading out for a late afternoon game
drive in an open safari vehicle. The afternoon culminates with the sunset sliding into the
Serengeti plains whilst you enjoy your drink of choice.
Overnight Dunia Camp

and when the big game gets too much, the prolific birdlife here will delight even the most disinterested of twitchers.

DAY 4. Ruaha to Selous:
After breakfast in camp, say goodbye to Kigelia, and head back to Msembe Airstrip to take
a flight to the Selous. On landing at Kiba Airstrip, another warm welcome and short drive to
camp will see you at Sand Rivers Selous for lunch while enjoying the spectacular river view.
If you can tear yourself away from the river, head to your beautiful riverfront room to relax
through the heat of the day, gathering back in the mess for tea at cake as the sun starts to cool.
Then it’s time to board a small boat for a relaxed meander up the river – a wonderful contrast
to the previous days’ game drives. As the sun sets, drift back to camp in time for sundowners
before dinner.
