In the past months, the team of C.H.WOLF has grown further. We have set ourselves
up according to the latest technological standard in the completely rebuilt rooms of
our company headquarters in Glashütte. We are especially proud of our team of
master watchmakers, watchmakers, product developers and in-house designers as
well as our experienced office and field staff.
Together, we are working with commitment on a successful future. We have refined
our brand presentation in order to better and more clearly communicate our values.
C.H.WOLF stands for watch making art from Glashütte, the cradle of German
horology. C.H.WOLF stands for the highest quality and precision. And, at the same
time, we are going in new directions:
C.H.WOLF is CONVINCING. DISTINCT.
Our watches tell stories. We are inspired by special, proven materials - among others
from aviation and seafaring or the automotive industry - as well as from classical
design elements and implement these creatively in our watches with innovative
techniques. That defines the character of our models and the spirit of C.H.WOLF.
Each of our watches reflects a certain attitude towards life and a special theme.
In this way we offer women and men a variety of models in our collection, leaving
nothing to be desired: watches with classic style, simple elegance, relaxed coolness
and athletic vigor.
On our way to become a manufactory, we are working on our own modules and
complications, which will enter production this year. With the in-house development
of our first outsize date module in the URBAN collection, we present a first milestone
this year.

C.H.WOLF FACTORY FOR precision mechanics, 1868
In 1868, Carl Heinrich Wolf founded
his „Tower clock factory and
mechanical workshop“ („Thurmuhren-Fabrik und Mechanische Werkstatt“) in Glashütte, establishing
himself at Feldstraße 2, our current
headquarters, in 1871. This was the
beginning of a long family tradition
that - along with others - established
the renown of Glashütte as a clock
making city.
The reliable and robust mechanisms
soon earned the company an excellent reputation.
Around the turn of the century, Carl
Heinrich Wolf placed the company‘s
reins in the hands of his sons.
Almost 150 years after its foundation,
we are breathing new life into the
traditional brand.
When Carl Heinrich Wolf began the
production of large clocks for churches, schools and manors, he was
venturing into what was then a
relatively rare branch of clock
making. Records from the years 1873
to 1882 demonstrate how business
with tower clocks flourished.

Reliable tower clocks
An original tower clock from the
„Tower clock factory and mechanical
workshop C.H. Wolf.“, preserved and
functional until today, is located in
Possendorf. Built in 1885, „Nr. 71“
still displays the time to residents
of the parish to this day.
The stability, robustness and precision of the C.H. Wolf movements were
renowned as especially reliable, well
past the borders of Saxony.
As this example clearly illustrates,
these were movements able to withstand the rigors of time.

Likewise, the tower clock of the city
church of Wehlen has been in service
for more than 130 years now.
Its robust mechanism allows the
clock to continue keeping time, even
in its advanced age.
In 1999, the clock was overhauled by
Andreas Vogler‘s horological company (Uhrentechnik Andreas Vogler)
and equipped with a labor-saving,
electrical winding mechanism.
This triggers the chiming mechanism
every six hours, every day, meaning
the residents and visitors to the city
of Wehlen can count on their tower
clock day in and day out.

Urban classic
The unmistakable look of the 1960s lives
on. The Urban CLASSIC reflects the
exciting era of days past in contemporary
design: elegant and stylish, with striking
details, this is a classic with character.
In a 41.5 millimeter, polished steel case,
it makes an impression. This impression
is strengthened by the perfect readability
of the time, ensured by exactly milled
and gold inlaid hour markers, as well as
gently curved hour and minute hands in
„Baton éventail“ form.
The modern retro look is completed by
either a band of elegant alligator leather
or a Milanese strap.
Altogether, the watch is available is six
different variations: with stainless steel or
pink gold casing, in combination with a
dial in black, anthracite or silver colored.
New: the Urban CLASSIC BLACK – with
a PVD-coated stainless steel case and
flat black dial with rhodiumed hour
markers.
These are accented by the unobtrusive,
central second hand. The purist design is
supported by the large, curved sapphire
glass bottom with antireflective coating,
which offers a view of the finely finished
mechanism.

The mechanism inspires with the rotor
characteristic of C.H.WOLF and the finely
finished movement, which is especially
visible through the large, sapphire crystal
bottom with its double anti-reflective
coating.
The circular housing with its diameter of
41 mm and its typically angled strap lugs,
provides the perfect frame for this simply
elegant watch. This elegance continues
with the dial.
The Urban BUSINESS is available in the
dial variants mocha, black and silver. And
especially for women: for each model
there is a version with a diamond bezel of
90 finely polished stones, for a glamorous appearance.
The consciously reduced design with
Arabic numerals, fine lancet hands and

C.H.WOLF is grand: with the model „Big
Date Business,“ the young Glashütte
company presents the first outsize date
module produced entirely in-house.
Thanks to a special cutout in the higher
of the two rings, the numbers from one to
16 appear with an elegant frame.
After a year of development work, the
extra large date display plays the leading
role as the distinguishing design element
on the dial.
In design, C.H.WOLF followed its proven
design principles: the Urban BIG DATE
BUSINESS is simple, clearly designed
and focusses on the essentials - the
greatest possible readability of the time.
The easily readable outsize-date is driven
by a mechanism of two superimposed
date disks. The upper disc is marked
with the numbers 17 to 31, the lower disc
displays the numbers one to 16.
This is further enhanced by the perfectly
dimensioned hands and the silver colored dial. Reduced to the hour, minute and
second, it accentuates the outsize date
to full stylish advantage.
The date changes automatically - daily
around midnight. Quick, manual corrections can also be made.

How the big date works
The Big Date consists of two discs that rotate, one above the other. Both date disks
have a special, exactly calculated gearing, which enables the exact advancement of the
date. They operate with very little clearance between them, which requires especial
dexterity and experience during construction.
On the upper date ring, the numerals 17 to 31 are displayed and the numbers one to
16 are on the lower ring. The upper ring has a window, through which you can read the
numbers on the lower ring.

On the inside, the finely finished handwound movement Alpha CHW302
provides the wearer with a 46 hour power
reserve, easily admired through the large
sapphire crystal bottom with anti-reflection coating.

The special refinement of the balance
cock as well as the three-quarter plate
- both visible on the movement - are
typical of Glashütte and the iconic waffle

The unmistakable C.H.WOLF casing
offers an especially good view of the dial,
with its wide opening and chamfered
inner ring. The design is both sober and
elegant, its balance accentuated by small
second display by six o‘clock.
The fine, pink gold numerals and the
matching hands form a harmonious contrast to the dial. Fascinating light reflections are created by the variously treated
surfaces of the high grade stainless steel
casing.

The Nautic collection comprises two model series, KAPITAEN and MARITIM.
Fine woods and special India rubber inlays form the basis of four unique color variations.
finishing. There is a highly elaborate process behind the look inspired by boat planks:
Teak stained kotibe wood in combination with black India rubber is used for the brown
applied to the wood. The blocks created by this process are pressed together and then
white India rubber.
The dials of both series are unique masterpieces, both in their nature and in their
delicate pieces of wood are trimmed, India rubber is mixed and, one layer at a time,
sawed into fine sheets.
Under high temperatures and pressure, these sheets are affixed to the brass backing
and sanded, calibrated, ground and then polished in a process with up to 15 steps - until
they finally have the form and character required to serve as a dial.

Siberian northern birch with grey India rubber and aluminum dust comprise an elegant,
cream-white variant and a regal model in grey is made of European grey oak and steel
blue India rubber.

from C.H.WOLF the ideal companion for
every day.
The fascinating boat plank look of the
dial serves as the highlight of the model
series KAPITAEN. Selected fine woods
and high-quality India rubber are brought
together in meticulous handwork to form
a one-of-a-kind composite and provide
the watch‘s characteristic appearance.
Starting with the handsome 45 mm case,
there are numerous characteristic design
elements in the Nautic KAPITAEN:
the winding crown in the shape of a
quay bollard, to which mooring lines are
connected when in harbor, the hands
and subtle appliqués, designed to evoke
historic marine chronometers.
The hand-wound movement
Alpha CHW 306 in the heart of the watch
offers 46 hours of reserve power.
The movement is equipped with the
three-quarter plate typical of Glashütte,
four gold-plated chatons which contain
fine jewels, and a swan neck precision
adjuster, which ensures particular exactness and the characteristic C.H.WOLF
waffle pattern on the backside of the
watch.
This truly is a prime example of Glashütte
watch making art.
A small second display by six o‘clock
completes the classically athletic impression with affection for details.

Refinement in detail
It is usually the small, fine details which bring something larger to perfection.
The overall harmony of each individual Nautic model is the result of a love for these
subtleties. The watches do not seem the least bit overloaded, and never stray from the
design principles of C.H.WOLF. The focus is on simplicity, clarity and comfortable
readability.
Nautic MARITIM and KAPITAEN have a few design refinements to offer. Besides the
characteristic ship‘s bottom surface, the elegant Arabic numerals on the dial catch the

Parts of an original anti-g suit are incorporated into the strap of the Pilot GREEN authentic material, which has proven itself in numerous operations.
Pilots wear anti-g suits when flying jets. The special suits make it possible to offset the
enormous forces which affect the human body during acceleration.
„g“ refers in this case to the force of gravity. Fighter pilots are sometimes exposed for
several seconds at a time to g-forces which amount to multiples of their own bodyweight.
When exposed to these g-forces, blood sinks into the lower extremities, causing bloodlessness in the brain, which, in turn, can cause the loss of consciousness.
In an anti-g suit, this effect is reduced by the automatic inflation of pressure pads.

Its nickname served as the inspiration
for C.H.WOLF for the creation of a
one-of-a-kind, black aviator watch.
The fidelity shown to its namesake in the
visual interpretation makes this model

The design concept of a jet black dial
with white, luminescent numbers and
indexes, the small second display and
the indicator arrow at 12 o‘clock come
together in an authentic cockpit look,
and also ensure an easy and comfortable
readability. The graphic division of the
scale is reduced to a few lines, only the
numbers two, four, eight, and ten are
Arabic numerals and displayed especially
large.
The hour and minute hands have similarly
large proportions, their form reminiscent
of propeller blades.

The watch is worn on a special strap - a
so-called „Trieste strap.“ The basis of
this band is calfskin, which is preserved
with metal salts and the imprinted with
a textile pattern. This means that the
leather looks like a woven textile, but, at
the same time, has the advantage that
the leather - in contrast to actual textiles
- keeps its well-maintained appearance
for a long time. This guarantees a particularly high level of wearing comfort and
completes the technical character of the
watch perfectly.
This model also has a large, anti-reflective sapphire glass bottom, presenting
the finely finished movement with the
C.H.WOLF‘s characteristic waffle pattern.
Aside from the exclusive finish, the
traditional Glashütte three-quarter plate

Advanced coating technology
The case of the Pilot BLACK has a special PVD coating.
This refers to physical vapor deposition. The coating is created via the environmentally
friendly PVD process in a high vacuum. In this case, a titanium aluminum plate is
changed into gas form in a vacuum chamber. The vaporized gas is then added to a part
to be coated - the case - on which it condenses and forms the desired layer.
Thanks to this extremely hard titanium-aluminum-nitride layer, the surface becomes
especially wear-resistant. Furthermore, the coating has a decorative function as well -
thanks to its jet black coloration, it completes the technical look of this model perfectly.

jacket from the Bundeswehr (German Army) is sewn into the strap of the Pilot GREY.
In order to stand up to the difficult conditions of military routine or deployment, these
jackets have to meet the highest standards: they should be warm and weatherproof,
reliably protect against heat, cold, rain and snow and, at the same time, wear
comfortably.
Thanks to their robust workmanship, the pilots‘ jackets of the Bundeswehr are considered durable and hardwearing. These properties also come to bear on the watch straps.

With the model Pilot RED C.H.WOLF honors the fascinating story of a legendary
fighter pilot and his passion for flight.
The red of the fabric on the dial and strap
forms a dramatic combination with the jet
black of the case and the calfskin strap.
It also distinguishes itself with the high
level of wear resistance, thanks to its
PVD coating. On the inside, the handwound mechanism Alpha CHW302 can
be admired through the large sapphire
crystal bottom.
The classic look of instruments in an
airplane cockpit served as inspiration:
round instruments with black background
and light colored indicators.
The dial of the Pilot RED is covered with
red cellulose acetate. In the beginning of
the 20th century, this material was used
as a covering for airplanes and airships.
The clearly designed dial with the indicator arrow at 12 o‘clock and the characteristic winding crown builds conspicuously

watches.
The fabric is similar to rayon in its haptics
and feels wonderfully soft. In addition

Many people are drawn out into the
world, all for their own reasons.
Only the hour displays at two, four, eight,
and ten are in Arabic numerals and are
portrayed particularly largely.
The Flymatic CHRONO will impress them
all: the pioneers and explorers just as
much as the globe trotters and cosmopolitans.
The hour and minute hands are also
larger and are inlaid with white luminous
material, as are the minute scale and
indexes.
The athletic timepiece offers the following
functions: the date and time display for
the current location, as well as for another location and a chronograph mechanism, with which time can be measured
exactly to the second.
Two additional push-buttons at two and
four o‘clock serve to operate the chronograph function. A large, red stopped
second indicator operates on the dial
during the timekeeping. The additional 30
minute counter at 12 o‘clock and the 12
hour counter at six o‘clock make it possible to measure longer periods of time.

Despite the numerous functions, the
watch does not make a cluttered impression. The galvanically blackened dial is

All hand-wound movements from C.H.WOLF are distinguished by a special decoration:
the so-called “waffle pattern“. This fine network of lines can also be found on historic
marine chronometers. Then, it assisted with regulating the movement.
This delicate, orthogonal decoration is C.H.WOLF‘s tribute to the pioneers of Glashütte
watchmaking art, keeping a piece of this masterful tradition alive.
A few models with ALPHA hand-wound caliber are distinguished by an additional
special feature: gold plated chatons hold four of the seventeen fine jewel bearings.
These chatons are each anchored in the three-quarter plate by two hand-polished
screws. On the anthracite-colored movement, they are a fascinating eye-catcher.

In the Ore Mountains in southern Saxony (Erzgebirge), the tradition has survived, and so
finest leather gloves are still made here, guaranteed made in Germany.
For each piece, the leather is cut, the holes punched, and the individual pieces sewn
together with needle and thread, all exclusively by hand. With the assistance of a crank
sewing machine that is over 40 years old, additional decorative seams, embroidery,
patterns or initials can be applied to the gloves. Finally, the finished glove is ironed.
To do this, the specialist pulls it over a special glove making iron and brings the leather
into its lovely, smooth shape. When the glove passes a final examination it can be
delivered to the customer.

The bearing jewels used in our mechanisms are wear-resistant, friction-reducing functional stones of synthetically produced ruby.
With nearly identical chemical and physical properties, synthetic rubies are the most
common watch bearing stones used.
